脉络膜视网膜组织活检法诊断原发性葡萄膜结节外边缘带B细胞淋巴瘤的病例报道

Purpose: To report the clinical, histopathological and molecular biological fi ndings of a primary extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (EMZL) of the uvea . Methods: Conventional histology, immunohis tochemistry and polymerase chain re action for immunoglobulin heavy chain gene rearrangement (IgH-PCR) and Genescan analysis were performed on a chorioretinal biopsy. Results: Histological examin ation of the chorioretinal biopsy demonstrated a dense infiltrate of small centr ocyte-like cells, plasmacytoid tumour cells and occasional blasts. The tumour c ellswere positive for CD20, showed monotypical expression for Ig-kappa and IgM, and a growth fraction of 10%. Clonality analysis using IgH-PCR disclosed a mo noclonal B-cell population. Following localised irradiation of 35 Gy, a complet e remission was achieved. Conclusion: This report describes a rare uveal EMZL di agnosed following investigation of a chorioretinal biopsy. Despite its rarity, o phthalmic pathologists should consider the diagnosis of a primary uveal EMZL whe n reviewing chorioretinal biopsies.

Background and objectives:Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a pandemic that has become a major source of morbidity and mortality worldwide,affecting the physical and mental health of individuals influencing *** the threat,it poses to maternal health in sub-saharan Africa and Nigeria,there is little or no data on the impact it has on fertility,conception,gestation and *** compare the birth rate between pre-COVID and COVID times using selected months of the *** and methods:This was a secondary analysis of cross-sectional analytical study data from the birth registries of three tertiary hospitals,comparing two years[2019(Pre-COVID)]versus[2020(COVID era)]using three months of the year(October to December).The data relied upon was obtained from birth registries in three busy maternity clinics all within tertiary hospitals in south-East Nigeria and we aimed at discussing the potential impacts of COVID-19 on fertility in *** secondary outcome measures were;mode of delivery,booking status of the participants,maternal age and ***:There was a significant decrease in tertiary-hospital based birth rate by 92 births(P=0.0009;95%CI:-16.0519 to-4.1481)among mothers in all the three hospitals in 2020 during the COVID period(post lockdown months)of October to *** was a significant difference in the mode of delivery for mothers(P=0.0096)with a 95%confidence interval of 1.0664 to 1.5916,as more gave birth through vaginal delivery during the 2020 COVID-19 period than ***:Tertiary-hospital based birth rates were reduced during the *** multi-centre study extrapolated on possible factors that may have played a role in this decline in their birth rate,which includes but is not limited to;decreased access to hospital care due to the total lockdowns/curfews and worsening inflation and economic recession in the country.

The Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC)is a large scientific project initiated and hosted by China,fostered through extensive collaboration with international *** complex comprises four accelerators:a 30 GeV Linac,a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring,a Booster capable of achieving energies up to 180 GeV,and a Collider operating at varying energy modes(Z,W,H,and tt).The Linac and Damping Ring are situated on the surface,while the subterranean Booster and Collider are housed in a 100 km circumference underground tunnel,strategically accommodating future expansion with provisions for a potential super Proton Proton Collider(sPPC).The CEPC primarily serves as a Higgs *** its baseline design with synchrotron radiation(sR)power of 30 MW per beam,it can achieve a luminosity of 5×10^(34)cm^(-2)s^(-1)per interaction point(IP),resulting in an integrated luminosity of 13 ab^(-1)for two IPs over a decade,producing 2.6 million Higgs *** the sR power to 50 MW per beam expands the CEPC's capability to generate 4.3 million Higgs bosons,facilitating precise measurements of Higgs coupling at sub-percent levels,exceeding the precision expected from the HL-LHC by an order of *** Technical Design Report(TDR)follows the Preliminary Conceptual Design Report(Pre-CDR,2015)and the Conceptual Design Report(CDR,2018),comprehensively detailing the machine's layout,performance metrics,physical design and analysis,technical systems design,R&D and prototyping efforts,and associated civil engineering ***,it includes a cost estimate and a preliminary construction timeline,establishing a framework for forthcoming engineering design phase and site selection *** is anticipated to begin around 2027-2028,pending government approval,with an estimated duration of 8 *** commencement of experiments and data collection could potentially be initiated in the mid-2030s.
