Trypano.o.o.is is majo. drawback to.pro.itable livesto.k pro.uctio. in sub-Sahara African, including Nigeria. Kno.ledge o. the cyto.ines pro.uctio. in the phase o. natural infectio. may help to.better diagno.e, treat and prevent bo.ine trypano.o.o.is. The purpo.e o. the this study was to.determine the levels o. interfero.-gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin-10 (IL-10) and cardiac tro.o.in–I (cTnI) in the sera o. cattle naturally infected with T. brucei, T. co.go.ense and T. vivax and co.relate these levels with parasitaemia and PCV o. the infected animals. Five milliliter o. blo.d samples were co.lected via the jugular vein fro. 411 rando.ly selected cattle into.EDTA and no.-citrated bo.tle. PCV was determined manually using HCT. Trypanso.es were detected and characterized by micro.co.y and PCR, respectively. Serum levels o. IFN-γ, IL-10 and cTnI were determined using co.mercial ELISA kit. Data were summarized using descriptive statistic and significance o. differences determined by ANo.A. o. the 62 samples po.itive fo. trypano.o.es by micro.co.y, 50 samples were co.firmed to.species level by PCR. The sera levels o. IFN-γ, IL-10 and cTnI o. infected cattle were higher than no.-infected cattle. The differences were no. significant (p γ, IL-10 and cTnI in cattle with natural trypano.o.o.is. Further investigatio. is required to.understand the specific effect o. trypano.o.es o. myo.ardiac integrity and interactio. between the two.cyto.ines in natural trypano.o.o.is in cattle.

To.determine the facto. influencing the abundance develo.ment and distributio. o. Simulium damno.um(S.I) immature stages in the lo.er Cro.s River Basin, Nigeria, the physico.chemical characteristics o. water at breeding sites were analysed lo.gitudinally o.er a 12 mo.th perio.. Analysis o. the water samples sho.ed that water current co.related po.itively and significantly(po.ved o.ygen(r = 0.95 vs 0.10); co.ductivity(r = 0.95 vs 0.81); hydro.en io. co.centratio.(r = 0.03 vs 0.46); and bio.hemical o.ygen demand(r = 0.80 vs 0.64); fro. Agbo.im Waterfalls and Afi River respectively. The result indicates that these parameters and lo. io.ic co.centratio. are the mo.t essential requirement fo. the develo.ment o. S. damno.um pre-imaginal stages. Amplitudes o. annual variability as measured by co.efficient o. variatio. varied between the parameters. Fro. the trends in hydro.o.ical variables it was deduced that the integrated impact o. precipitatio., input o. surface runo.f and municipal effluents played an o.erriding ro.e in determining the abso.ute levels and tempo.al pattern in the water quality attributes. o. the 3578 pre-imaginal stages o. S. damno.um co.lected, 52.52% and 47.4% were co.lected fro. Agbo.im Waterfall and Afi River respectively. There was a significant difference(po. pre-imaginal stages co.lected fro. bo.h sites. The highest number o. pre_imaginal stages o. S. damno.um co.lected were at the peak o. rain(July—September) indicating that S. damno.um in the River Basin is a wet seaso. breeder. The need fo. lo.g term labo.ato.y co.o.izatio. o. blackfly immature stages beco.es imperative especially ho. these parameters co.ld be explo.ted in co.tro. pro.ramme thro.gh the testing o. larvicides witho.t adverse eco.o.ical damage to.the aquatic habitat.

Develo.ing effective and lo.g-term treatment strategies fo. rare and co.plex neuro.egenerative diseases is challenging. o.e o. the majo. ro.dblo.ks is the extensive hetero.eneity amo.g patients. Especially in patients with a kno.n genetic mutatio., it may be po.sible to.understand ho. these mutatio.s co.tribute to.pro.lems that lead to.neuro.egeneratio.. Pro.ein–pro.ein interactio. analyses o.fer great advantages fo. revealing ho. pro.eins interact, which cellular events are primarily invo.ved in these interactio.s, and ho. they beco.e affected when key genes are mutated in patients. In this study,a triple spark ignitio. scheme was first designed o. a three-cylinder 1.5-L dedicated hybrid engine（DHE）.o. this basis,the effect o. different ignitio. mo.es o. engine co.bustio. and emissio. characteristics was studied,especially under high dilutio. *** results tested at 2000 r/min and 0.8 MPa BMEP（brake mean effective pressure） sho. that with highly increased in-cylinder flo. intensity,using o.ly passive prechamber（PPC） has a lo.er lean limit than that with single central spark plug（CSP）,thereby leading to.slightly higher minimum fuel co.sumptio. and nitro.en o.ides（No.） *** side spark plugs（SSP）based o. PPC can result in impro.ed capability o. lean limit extensio. and engine perfo.mance than ***,the impro.ement level is lo.er than that with triple spark plugs（TSP）.As the excess air ratio.λincreases,the advantage o. Gro.ndwater and surface water co.taminatio. by PTE(Po.entially To.ic Elements)was assessed in Ruashi and Annexe municipalities o. Lubumbashi *** o. seventy water samples co.lected fro. six drilled wells,eight spade-sunk wells,o.e river and o.e spring in bo.h municipalities in 2017 and 2018 were carried o.t by ICP-SF-MS(Inductively Co.pled Plasma-Secto. Field Mass Spectro.etry).Twenty PTEs including aluminum,arsenic,barium,bismuth,cadmium,cesium,chro.ium,co.alt,co.per,iro.,lead,manganese,mo.ybdenum,nickel,stro.tium,thallium,tungsten,uranium,vanadium and zinc were detected at vario.s co.centratio.s in each o.e o. the *** samples had co.centratio.s and mean co.centratio.s o. PTEs,such as aluminum,cadmium,co.per,iro.,lead,manganese,nickel and zinc,higher than the respective acceptable limits set fo. drinking water by the EU(Euro.ean Unio.),the USEPA(United States Enviro.mental Pro.ectio.
