Detection of environmental stimuli that provoke an aversive response has been shown to involve many receptors in the periphery. Probably the least-studied of these stimuli are those that induce the perception of itch （pruritus）, an often-experienced unpleasant stimulus. This review covers the ligands and their receptors which are known to cause primary sensory neuron activation and initiate itch sensation. Also covered are several itch-inducing substances which may act indirectly by activating other cell types in the periphery which then signal to primary neurons. Finally, progress in identifying candidate neurotransmitters that sensory neurons use to propagate the itch signal is discussed.

This articles first investigates boundary integral operators for the three-dimensional isotropic linear elasticity of a biphasic model with piecewise constant Lam´e coefficients in the form of a bounded domain of arbitrary shape surrounded by a background *** the simple case of a spherical inclusion,the vector spherical harmonics consist of eigenfunctions of the single and double layer boundary operators and we provide their ***,in the case of many spherical inclusions with isotropic materials,each with its own set of Lam´e parameters,we propose an integral equation and a subsequent Galerkin discretization using the vector spherical harmonics and apply the discretization to several numerical test cases.

New developments in immunotherapy for lymphoma

The development of immunotherapies for lymphoma has undergone a revolutionary evolution over the past decades. Since the advent of rituximab as the first successful immunotherapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma over two decades ago, a plethora of new immunotherapeutic approaches to treat lymphoma has ensued. Four of the most exciting classes of immunotherapies include:chimeric antigen receptor T-cells, bispecific antibodies, immune checkpoint inhibitors, and vaccines. However, with addition of these novel therapies the appropriate timing of treatment, optimal patient population, duration of therapy, toxicity, and cost must be considered. In this review, we describe the most-promising immunotherapeutic approaches for the treatment of lymphoma in clinical development, specifically focusing on clinical trials performed to date and strategies for improvement.

Automatic object annotation in streamed and remotely explored large 3D reconstructions

Dracunculiasis eradication-Finishing the job before surprises arise

Dracunculiasis(Guinea worm disease) is a preventable waterborne parasitic disease that affects the poorest people living in remote rural areas in sub-Saharan African countries,who do not have access to safe drinking *** Guinea Worm Eradication Program,a 25-year old campaign to rid the world of Guinea Worm disease has now reached its final stage accelerating to zero cases in all endemic *** the 19th and 20th centuries,dracunculiasis was common in much of Southern Asia and the African *** overall number of cases has been reduced tremendously by≥99%,from the 3.32 million cases estimated to have occurred in 1986 in Africa to only I 797 cases reported in 2010 reported in only five countries(Sudan,Mali,Ethiopia,Chad and Ghana) and Asia free of the *** achievement is unique in its kind - the only previously eradicated disease is smallpox,a viral infection for which vaccination was possible - and it has been achieved through primary community-based prevention and health education *** efforts need to be taken in two countries,South Sudan(comprising 94%or I 698 out of 1 797 of the cases reported world-wide in 2010) and Mali because of frequent movements of nomads in a vast area inside and outside Mali’s *** factors favourable to dracunculiasis eradication are available including adequate financial resources,community and political support and high levels of *** there is no reason that this disabling parasitic disease cannot be eradicated soon before surprises arise such as new civil conflicts in currently endemic countries.

A classical result of Halmos asserts that among measure preserving transformations the weak mixing property is generic. We extend Halmos' result to the collection of ergolic extensions of a fixed, but arbitrary,aperiodic transformation T_0. We then use a result of Ornstein and Weiss to extend this relative theorem to the general(countable) amenable group.
