The objective of this paper is to analyze the seismic response of a reinforced concrete structure dimensioned according to the Algerian seismic rules. First, we expose the approach of nonlinear time history method. Next, we describe a ten-storey reinforced concrete building braced by shear walls, implanted in the high seismicity region in Algeria. This structure is submitted to different seismic records. Finally, we analyze and interpret the seismic response in function of the deformability, shear strength, flexural strength and the bearing capacity under the compressive stress together with the local ductility. The results obtained showed that the identified structure represents a satisfied nonlinear behavior under the seismic recording of medium intensity contrary that obtained under higher earthquake of El Centro which remains unacceptable and requests a constructive improvement in the Algerian seismic rules.

Characterization of the Biodegradation of Kasbahs of the Gharb Region (Mehdia and Kenitra Kasbahs, Morocco)

With the aim of contributing to the solutions linked to the problems of the preventive preservation and the restoration of the Kasbah of Mehdia or the Kasbah of Moulay El Hassan, a study of the flora populating the facades of these historical monuments was realized and showed the presence of a varied and diverse vegetation populating these buildings left to the ravages of time. The inventory of this flora showed the existence of 70 species among which 48were exclusively detected at the Kasbah of Mehdia, 11 other species were only discovered at the Kasbah of Kenitra and 11 vegetal species were inventoried at both Kasbahs. These plant species are divided into 28 families. Four families clearly dominate the flora inventoried at both Kasbahs of the Gharb region. These are the Asteraceae (15.7%),Poaceae (10%), Apiaceae (8.6%) and Scrophulariaceae (5.7%). These families alone account for 41.4% of the specific size of the flora of the studied sites. The most dominant vegetal type is the therophytes with 61.4% of the total specific size, followed by hemicryptophytes with 17.1%. Located at the top or the base of walls, these plants, fitting into joints or cracks, have a chemical action on the stones by acids which they release and also have a mechanical action on the stones by the growth of roots inside cracks. This vegetation remains one of the most important biological factors of the degradation of historical monuments.

AIM:To evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of Ferrara rings in keratoconus using an optimized nomogram developed after several years of research and retrospective analysis of clinical ***:This prospective longitudinal non-comparative clinical trial evaluated 88 eyes of 88 patients(age 18-62 y)with keratoconus diagnosis from two Spanish *** ring segment(AJL Ophthalmic)implantation was performed in all cases,using the mechanical procedure in 25 eyes(28.4%)and a femtosecond laser-assisted procedure in 63 eyes(71.6%).The ring segments implanted in each case were selected using a new optimized nomogram that considered variables such as anterior corneal asphericity and astigmatism or the discrepancy among astigmatism and coma ***,refractive,corneal topographic,aberrometric,and pachymetric changes after surgery were evaluated during a 3-month ***:The implants induced a significant refractive change as well as an improvement in uncorrected(UDVA)and corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA;P<0.001).Postoperative CDVA of 0.10 log MAR or better was achieved in 28.4%and 46.5%of eyes,*** eyes(2.3%)lost two or more lines of CDVA whereas a total of 53.5%of eyes gained lines of CDVA.A significant central anterior and posterior corneal flattening was induced(P≤0.003),with a significant reduction of anterior(P<0.001)and posterior corneal astigmatisms(P=0.048),and a change in anterior asphericity(P<0.001).Total primary coma(6 mm pupil)change was also statistically significant(preoperative 3.66±3.04μm vs postoperative 2.33±2.26μm,P<0.001).No significant differences were found in the effect of ring segments between cases implanted using the mechanical and femtosecond techniques(P≥0.101).CONCLUSION:The implantation of Ferrara rings based on the nomogram evaluated is safe and effective for promoting a visual rehabilitation in keratoconus,with a relevant control of primary coma aberration.

随着中国计算机技术的快速发展和市场经济进程的加快,网络营销已经成为中国企业营销不可分割的重要组成部分。虽然中国网上交易已经快速发展壮大起来,网络营销在中国的发展前景乐观,但目前其发展还不够完善和成熟。相比于美国等发达国家,中国的网络营销还存在一些亟需解决的问题。诸如网络支付安全问题、物流配送问题、诚信问题、虚假问题、网络营销法律法规不完善等问题。淘宝是以东方文化为背景的公司,而易趣是以西方文化为背景的公司。这种基本属性的不同带来的是竞争形式和竞争结果的不同。也是他们代表两种商业文化的较量。在中国,有很多网站从事这C2C电子商务,但是,有一定影响力的C2C电子商务网站很少。从严格意义上讲,这样具有影响力的电子商务网站仅仅有两个,一个是由阿里巴巴集团成立的淘宝网站,另外一个是美国收购了本地网站易趣的ebay网。对于ebay易趣来说,由于它没有任何改变地引入了ebay的海外盈利模式,其中包括网上支付、交易模式、收费模式以及服务模式等,导致它没有在中国取得成功,一直输给淘宝。相反,淘宝网能够在建立的短短几年时间之内,就超越了ebay易趣,坐上了中国C2C电子商务网站的第一位,是值得令人深思的。从现阶段的交易情况看,淘宝网的加以额远远超出了易趣,从成立到至今为止一直是中国C2C电子商务市场的领跑者。2011年,淘宝网站的交易额超过了4850亿元,占中国C2C市场总交易额的80%。这一数据甚至超过了华润万家、沃尔玛、家乐福、物美集团等知名零售商。然而,在C2C电子商务快速发展的时代,笔者不得不指出淘宝网以及ebay易趣在选择盈利手段等电子商务模式存在的诸多问题。为了改善ebay易趣的目前发展状况以及促进淘宝网的进一步发展,笔者基于对易趣与淘宝网发展历史和现状的探讨,通过盈利模式、服务模式、信息流模式、网页浏览状态、客户的竞争、支付服务方面的竞争、伙伴关系竞争以及假冒伪劣商品等多个角度对二者的电子商务模式进行了比较分析。

AIM: To evaluate the effect of scleral encircling bands on the development and progression of diabetic retinopathy(DR) in diabetic ***: The medical records of diabetic patients who underwent unilateral retinal detachment(RD) surgery using scleral buckle and encircling band were reviewed retrospectively. Both eyes of patients were included in the study: one eye in each patient had a scleral buckle with encircling band(the operated eye) and the other one is the non-operated eye. The demographic characters, duration of diabetes and period between surgery and the last recall visit were retrieved from each patient. All the cases underwent fundus photo and fluorescein angiography(when indicated) to confirm the DR ***: Totally 25 patients fulfilled the inclusion and the exclusion criteria were become eligible for the study. A total of 50 eyes of 25 patients were enrolled in this analysis. The mean period of time passed from surgery with encircling band and the last reassessment visit was 12.5±2 y. Even though DR could develop in the operated eyes, it was at a less degree of severity compared to the non-operated eyes of same patients(P=0.027).CONCLUSION: Scleral encircling bands have protective effects against the development and progression of DR.

In this work we are interested in studying the effect of the heat treatments on the dopant segregation at the grain boundaries in the polycrystalline silicon films. The obtained results have shown that the heat treatments reduce the number of segregation sites at the grains boundaries, and consequently they limit the structural changes that can appear there and the quantity of the dope atoms that can accumulate in these boundaries. In addition they are more and more dopant that are found inside the grains when the temperature of the heat treatment increases. On the other hand, we established that the arsenic atoms have a strong tendency to the segregation than the boron atoms, and we have noticed a strong migration of arsenic atoms from the boundaries towards the grains under the effect of the heat treatments. It was also shown that the segregation of arsenic atoms at the grains boundaries is about 4 times higher than that of the boron atoms.

The main purpose of the study was to enhance the stability and therapeutic effects of Curcumin(Cur)through nanoformulation with gum Arabic(GA)as a coating agent through an efficient synthetic *** antioxidant properties of the developed nanoparticles(Cur/GANPs)were assessed through several in vitro assays,such asβ-carotene bleaching activity,DPPH,and nitric oxide scavenging activities in addition to evaluating its inhibitory activity on angiotensinconverting enzyme(ACE).The cytotoxicity of Cur/GANPs was evaluated in vitro using different types of human cancer cells including breast cancer(MCF7,MDA-MB231),liver cancer(HepG2),and colon cancer(HT29)*** prepared particles displayed an elliptical shape with a size ranging between 20–260 nm and a potential difference of–15 *** Cur/GANPs exhibited significant antioxidant activity compared to free curcumin when using concentrations between 31.5 and 500μg/*** Cur/GANPs also had inhibited the growth of all cancer cell lines in a proportional trend with concentrations ***,the encapsulation with gum Arabic has augmented the antioxidant and anti-neoplastic effects of ***,Cur/GANPs may have effective therapeutic properties in diseases attributed to oxidative stress like cancer and hypertension.

Electrical Analysis of Indium Deep Levels Effects on Kink Phenomena of Silicon NMOSFETs

Several methods of characterization of trap levels like I-V, C-V and transient spectroscopy (DLTS) were used to determine the accurate values of the activation energies of traps present in N+P junctions obtained after retrograde profile implantation of indium and boron on silicon. Four main traps located at Ev + 0.15 eV, Ev + 0.21 eV, Ev + 0.28 eV and Ev + 0.46 eV are reported. Shallow levels are also calculated from I-V characteristics. Concurrently, indium channel doped NMOSFETs are investigated showing the kink phenomenon. In order to discuss the relationship between the kink effect and the active indium trap level situated at 0.16 eV, the transient effects are studied by varying the integration time and the temperature. The effects of substrate polarization are also carried out showing the reduction of the kink with the bulk positive polarization.
