We have studied the presence of novel inflammatory markers as soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR) and natural IgM antibodies directed against phosphorylcholine (αPC-IgM) in Swedish diabetic patients (n = 164) and in healthy control subjects (n = 41). SuPAR is expressed by several types of immune cells and has been shown to be a marker of disease severity and predict mortality during infections. It has also been associated with low-grade inflammation. High levels of αPC-IgM have been shown to negatively associate with the risk of cardiovascular disease and vascular inflammation. This has been suggested to be more common among diabetic patients than in the background population. The patients were 15-34 years of age and were included in the diabetes incidence study in Sweden (DISS). They were all clinically diagnosed to have either T1D (n = 82) or T2D (n = 82). All subjects were matched in gender and age. Commercially available ELISA was used to detect suPAR and αPC-IgM. We found that suPAR levels were higher in diabetic patients (n = 164, Q2 = 4.5 mg/L) compared to in healthy control subjects (n = 41, Q2 = 2.7 mg/L;p 2 = 4.9) compared to in patients classified with T1D (n = 82;p=0.0002). The difference between T2D and T1D was even more obvious when LADA (n = 17) was extracted from the T2D group. SuPAR levels did also correlate with BMI (rs = 0.50;p s = 0.23;p s = 0.58;p < 0.0001). Titers of αPC-IgM did not significantly differ between patients and controls. This is the first study to show the difference in suPAR levels between T1D and T2D patients. The high levels of suPAR in T2D patients indicate a strong activation of the immune system and its relation to disease progression needs to be further investigated. However, our data do not support a role for αPC-IgM in the development of diabetes.

拟南芥的CPD基因编码一种与植物油菜素内酯(brassinosteroids,BRs)生物合成有关的细胞色素P450类固醇单加氧酶(CYP90 )。为探讨油菜素内酯这类新型植物激素在多年生木本植物中生物合成及作用的分子机理,以拟南芥CPD基因的一个cDNA片段为探针,从一种杂交杨 (Populustremula×tremudelois)的cDNA文库中分离出一个长 1 442bp的cDNA片段,然后再以这个cDNA的 5′区为探针,从这种杂交杨的基因组文库中分离出一个长 1 900bp的基因组DNA(gDNA)片段。测序结果表明,这段cDNA的 5′区与这段gDNA的 3′区重合; 由这段cDNA和gDNA组成的读框编码一个由 476个氨基酸组成的分子量为 63kD的蛋白质。该蛋白与拟南芥CYP90的同源性为 78 32%,比后者仅长 4个氨基酸,在所有已知的功能结构域,其中包括与BR生物合成密切相关的类固醇结合位点,也具有较高的同源性,表明CPD基因在一年生的草本和多年生的木本植物之间具有很高的保守性。系统树分析还表明,CYP90蛋白与番茄和玉米的矮化基因产物、鱼的all trans retinoicacid4 hydroxy lase及微澡青菌(Synechocystissp. )的细胞色素P450在进化上有较密切的联系。

At the physiological level,the interplay between auxin and ethylene has long been recognized as crucial for the regulation of organ abscission in ***,the underlying molecular mechanisms remain ***,we identified transcription factors involved in indoleacetic acid(IAA)and ethylene(ET)signaling that directly regulate the expression of INFLORESCENCE DEFICIENT IN ABSCISSION(IDA)and its receptor HAESA(HAE),which are key components initiating ***,litchi IDAlike 1(LcIDL1)interacts with the receptor HAESA-like2(LcHSL2).Through in vitro and in vivo experiments,we determined that the auxin response factor LcARF5 directly binds and activates both LcIDL1 and ***,we found that the ETHYLENE INSENSITIVE 3-like transcription factor LcEIL3 directly binds and activates *** expression of IDA and HSL2 homologs was enhanced in Lc ARF5and Lc EIL3 transgenic Arabidopsis plants,but reduced in ein3 eil1 ***,the expressions of LcIDL1 and LcHSL2 were significantly decreased in Lc ARF5-and LcEIL3-silenced fruitlet abscission zones(FAZ),which correlated with a lower rate of fruitlet *** of auxin led to an increase in 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid(the precursor of ethylene)levels in the litchi FAZ,followed by abscission *** this process,LcRF5 and LcEIL3 were induced in the ***,our findings suggest that the molecular interactions between litchi AUXIN RESPONSE FACTOR 5(LcARF5)-LcIDL1/LcHSL2 and LcEIL3–LcIDL1 signaling modules play a role in regulating fruitlet abscission in litchi and provide a long-sought mechanistic explanation for how the interplay between auxin and ethylene is translated into the molecular events that initiate abscission.

The main driver for recycling cable wastes is the high value of the conducting metal, while the plastic with its lower value is often neglected. New improved cable plastic recycling routes can provide both economic and environmental incentive to cable producers for moving up the “cable plastic waste ladder”. Cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment, LCA, of the waste management of the cable scrap is suggested and explained as a method to analyze the pros and cons of different cable scrap recycling options at hand. Economic and environmental data about different recycling processes and other relevant processes and materials are given. Cable producers can use this data and method to assess the way they deal with the cable plastic waste today and compare it with available alternatives and thus illuminate the improvement potential of recycling cable plastic waste both in an environmental and in an economic sense. The methodology applied consists of: cradle-to-gate LCA for waste material to a recycled material (recyclate);quantifying the climate impact for each step on the waste ladder for the specific waste material;the use of economic and climate impact data in parallel;climate impact presented as a span to portray the insecurities related to which material the waste will replace;and possibilities for do-it-yourself calculations. Potentially, the methodology can be useful also for other waste materials in the future.

Fertilizer phosphorus(P)is a finite resource,necessitating the development of innovative solutions for P fertilizer efficiency in agricultural ***-inositol hexakisphosphate(phytate)constitutes the majority of identified organic P in many soil types and is poorly available to *** phytase-producing biofertilizers into soil presents a viable and environmentally acceptable way of utilizing P from phytate,while reducing the need for mineral P application.A deeper understanding of the microbial ecology in relation to degradation of phytate under natural soil conditions is however needed to obtain successful biofertilizer candidates able to compete in complex soil *** we present the development of a microcosm for studying microbial communities able to colonize and utilize Ca-phytate hotspots in *** results provide evidence that the recruited microbial population mineralizes ***,quantification of bacterial genes associated with organic P cycling in alkaline soils indicated that the phosphatases PhoX and PhoD may play a larger role in phytate mineralization in soil than previously *** sequencing and BioLog®catabolism studies show that hotspots containing Ca-phytate,recruited a different set of microorganisms when compared to those containing an addition of C source alone,with the genus Streptomyces specifically *** propose that Streptomyces represents an hitherto unexplored resource as P biofertilizer with competitive advantage for utilizing CaPhy in an inherently competitive soil *** further conclude that the use of our newly designed microcosm presents an innovative approach for isolating soil microorganisms with the potential to degrade precipitated phytate in solum.

Proton irradiation with a primary ion energy of 2 MeV was used to simulate radiation damage in UN and(U,Zr)N fuel *** pellets,nominally at room temperature,were irradiated to peak levels of 0.1,1,10 dpa and 100.0 dpa resulting in a peak hydrogen concentration of at most 90 at.%.Microstructure and mechanical properties of the samples were investigated and compared before and after *** irradiation induced an increase in hardness,whereas a decrease in Young’s modulus was observed for both *** characterization revealed irradiation-induced cracking,initiated in the bulk of the material,where the peak damage was deposited,propagating towards the ***,transmission electron microscopy was used to study irradiation *** loops and fringes were identified and observed to increase in density with increasing dose *** high density of irradiation defects and hydrogen implanted are proposed as the main cause of swelling and consequent sample cracking,leading simultaneously to increased hardening and a decrease in Young's modulus.

自50年代以来,欧洲一些地区的水獭数量急剧下降,且不同地区的水獭密度明显不同。人们曾提出许多水獭数量下降的原因,PCB效应就是其中之一。本研究的目的是对采自拉脱维亚的水獭、鱼、两栖动物中PCB和DDT浓度与瑞典的数据及文献上可得到的其他相关数据资料进行比较。作者分析了采自拉脱维亚两个地区和瑞典一个地区的样品,结果表明,拉脱维亚的水獭、鱼、两栖动物中PCB浓度比报道的欧洲其他地区的水獭、鱼中PCB浓度低。鉴于拉脱维亚高密度的水獭数量及生物群中低浓度的PCB这一事实,PCB效应是解释欧洲水獭数量下降的最重要原因的设想得到了本研究的支持。
