Aim： To identity proteins that are differentially expressed in cells derived from normal and diseased tunica albuginea （TA） as related to Peyronie＇s disease （PD）. Methods： Cells with characteristics of fibroblasts were isolated from two tissue sources. Those from the plaque of patients with PD were designated as PT cells, and those from the normally- appearing TA of the same patients were designated as NT cells. Messenger RNAs of these cells were analyzed by real-time polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） for the expression of monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 （MCP-1）. Crude protein lysates were analyzed by surface-enhanced laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry （SELDI-MS） with IMAC30-Cu, CM10, and H50 chips. Each lysate was then separated into six fractions, which were further analyzed by SELDI-MS. Results： RT- PCR analysis showed that PT cells expressed higher levels of MCP-1 than their counterpart NT cells. SELDI-MS analysis showed that the crude protein lysates of all four cell strains produced similar and reproducible protein profiles on IMAC30-Cu and CM 10 chips. Additional SELDI-MS analyses with the fractionated lysates detected three proteins of 11.6 kDa, 14.5 kDa, 22.6 kDa that were upregulated in PT cells and two proteins of 6.3 kDa and 46,9 kDa that were downregulated in PT cells. Conclusion： MCP-1, which is often involved in tissue fibrosis, was expressed at higher levels in PT than that in NT cells. five potential biomarkers for PD were identified by SELDI-MS analysis. （Asian J Androl 2005 Sep; 7： 237-243）

In vitro supplementation with date seed oil （DSO） can protect spermatozoa against hydrogen peroxide （HiO2）- mediated damage and can improve sperm function, possibly owing to antioxidant properties. We tested the antioxidant effects of DSO on human sperm motility, sperm viability, reacted acrosome and lipid peroxidation assessed in vitro after H202-mediated oxidative damage in spermatozoa. Sixteen patients （mean age： 35 years; range： 25-45 years） referred to the Histology-Embryology Laboratory of the Medicine faculty of Sfax for semen analysis after 12-24 months of sexual intercourse without conception were selected. After spermiogram, sperm selection by twointerface discontinuous Sill Select gradient was performed, and selected spermatozoa were used in four experimental assays： control; incubation with 100um H2O2; incubation with 0.1% DSO; and co-incubation with 0.1% DSO and 100 um H2O2. Motility and viability were determined using World Health Organization criteria. Acrosome reaction and lipid peroxidation were assessed by staining with fluorescein isothiocyanate-Pisum sativum and spectrophotometric measurement of malondialdehyde, respectively. Results showed that incubation with H2O2 alone led to a significant increase in lipid peroxidation （57.83%, P 〈 0.05） associated with a significant decrease in sperm motility, sperm viability （after 30 min and 24 h） and percentage of reacted acrosome （P 〈 0.05）. Date seed oil im- proved sperm motility after 24 h of incubation （P 〈 0.05） and protected spermatozoa against the deleterious effects of H2O2 on motility, viability, acrosome reaction and lipid peroxidation. We conclude that supplementation with DSO may have a function in antioxidant protection against male infertility.

To promote reliable and secure communications in the cognitive radio network,the automatic modulation classification algorithms have been mainly proposed to estimate a single *** this paper,we address the classification of superimposed modulations dedicated to 5G multipleinput multiple-output(MIMO)two-way cognitive relay network in realistic channels modeled with Nakagami-m *** purpose consists of classifying pairs of users modulations from superimposed *** achieve this goal,we apply the higher-order statistics in conjunction with the Multi-BoostAB *** use several efficiency metrics including the true positive(TP)rate,false positive(fP)rate,precision,recall,f-Measure and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)area in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of correct superimposed modulations *** simulations prove that our proposal allows obtaining a good probability of classification for ten superimposed modulations at a low signal-to-noise ratio,including the worst case(i.e.,m=0.5),where the fading distribution follows a one-sided Gaussian *** also carry out a comparative study between our proposal usingMultiBoostAB classifier with the decision tree(J48)*** results show that the performance of MultiBoostAB on the superimposed modulations classifications outperforms the one of J48 *** addition,we study the impact of the symbols number,path loss exponent and relay position on the performance of the proposed automatic classification superimposed modulations in terms of probability of correct classification.

Lack of information regarding lithium(Li)crystal chemistry in numerous minerals,especially those containing trace amounts of Li(ranging from a few to tens of ppm),limits our understanding of Li isotopic fractionation in *** this study,we examined the Li isotopic composition and Li content in various Li-poor(e.g.,quartz or feldspar)together with Li-rich(sopdumene or lepidolite)mineral phases within granitic *** compiled a comprehensive dataset,encompassing a broad spectrum of Li contents(ranging from a few to tens of thousands of ppm)and Li isotopic values(-8‰to 41‰).The minerals exhibit distinct Li isotopic ***,elbaite and beryl show the highest values,while biotite displays a negative *** to individual minerals,whole rocks demonstrate lower Li isotopic values,with pegmatites exhibiting the highest and non-granitic pegmatite wall rocks showing the *** study also uncovers a clear“V”shape relationship between Li isotopic values and logarithm of Li contents,with different mineral groups occupying specific regions within this ***,a significant correlation was observed between average Li isotopic values and Li-O(OH,f)bond lengths in various *** discoveries underscore the crucial role of crystal chemistry in shaping the Li isotopic behavior in pegmatites from a statistical perspective.

Adaptive filtering algorithms are investigated when system models are subject to model structure errors and regressor signal perturbations. System models for practical applications are often approximations of high-order or nonlinear systems, introducing model structure uncertainties. Measurement and actuation errors cause signal perturbations, which in turn lead to uncertainties in regressors of adaptive filtering algorithms. Employing ordinary differential equation （ODE） methodologies, we show that convergence properties and estimation bias can be characterized by certain differential inclusions. Conditions to ensure algorithm convergence and bounds on estimation bias are derived. These findings yield better understanding of the robustness of adaptive algorithms against structural and signal uncertainties.
