In.this paper, a n.w type of bamboo scrimber column.embedded with steel bars (rebars) was proposed, an. the compression.performan.e was improved by pre-embeddin. rebars durin. the preparation.of the column.. The effects of the slen.ern.ss ratio an. the rein.orcemen. ratio on.the axial compression.performan.e of rein.orced bamboo scrimber column. were studied by axial compression.tests on.28 specimen.. The results showed that the in.rease in.the slen.ern.ss ratio had a sign.fican. n.gative effect on.the axial compression.performan.e of the column.. When.the slen.ern.ss ratio in.reased from 19.63 to 51.96, the failure mode chan.ed from stren.th failure to bucklin. failure, an. the maximum bearin. capacity decreased by 43.03%. The axial compression.performan.e of the rein.orced bamboo scrimber column. did n.t sign.fican.ly improve at a slen.ern.ss ratio of 19.63, but the opposite was true at slen.ern.ss ratios of 36.95 an. 51.96. When.the rein.orcemen. ratio in.reased from 0% to 4.52%, the bearin. capacity of those with a slen.ern.ss ratio of 51.96 in.reased by up to 16.99%, an. the stiffn.ss an. ductility were also improved. Fin.lly, based on.existin. specification., two modification.parameters, the overall elastic modulus Ec an. the combin.d stren.th fcc, were in.roduced to establish a calculation.method for the bearin. capacity of the rein.orced bamboo scrimber column.. The calculation.results were compared with the test results, an. the results showed that the proposed calculation.models can.more accurately predict the bearin. capacity. © 2024 The Authors.

Software testin. is a critical phase due to miscon.eption. about ambiguities in.the requiremen.s durin. specification. which affect the testin. process. Therefore, it is difficult to iden.ify all faults in.software. As requiremen. chan.es con.in.ously, it in.reases the irrelevan.y an. redun.an.y durin. testin.. Due to these challen.es; fault detection.capability decreases an. there arises a n.ed to improve the testin. process, which is based on.chan.es in.requiremen.s specification. In.this research, we have developed a model to resolve testin. challen.es through requiremen. prioritization.an. prediction.in.an.agile-based en.iron.en.. The research objective is to iden.ify the most relevan. an. mean.n.ful requiremen.s through seman.ic an.lysis for correct chan.e an.lysis. Then.compute the similarity of requiremen.s through case-based reason.n., which predicted the requiremen.s for reuse an. restricted to error-based requiremen.s. Afterward, the apriori algorithm mapped out requiremen. frequen.y to select relevan. test cases based on.frequen.ly reused or n.t reused test cases to in.rease the fault detection.rate. Furthermore, the proposed model was evaluated by con.uctin. experimen.s. The results showed that requiremen. redun.an.y an. irrelevan.y improved due to seman.ic an.lysis, which correctly predicted the requiremen.s, in.reasin. the fault detection.rate an. resultin. in.high user satisfaction. The predicted requiremen.s are mapped in.o test cases, in.reasin. the fault detection.rate after chan.es to achieve higher user satisfaction. Therefore, the model improves the redun.an.y an. irrelevan.y of requiremen.s by more than.90% compared to other clusterin. methods an. the an.lytical hierarchical process, achievin. an.80% fault detection.rate at an.earlier stage. Design.an. Developmen. of a Parabolic Trough Solar Air Heater (PTSAH) for a Green.ouse Dryer (GD) was don. to improve the dryer’s performan.e. The materials used for the fabrication.of the PTSAH in.luded galvan.zed sheets covered with alumin.um foil, an.absorber tube made of GI pipe pain.ed matt black to in.rease heat absorban.e at the focal lin., mild steel square tubes, shutter plywood, an. an.axial fan.to push air through the absorber tube. Key geometrical parameters used for the design.of the PTSAH were a rim an.le of 98 degrees, focal len.th of 0.2608 m, height of 0.3451 m, len.th of 2 m, an. an.aperture width of 1.2 m. The PTSAH’s total aperture surface area was 2.4 m2, while its absorber tube surface area was 0.1587 m2. The PTSAH was experimen.ally tested to establish its thermal performan.e. It was foun. that the ambien. air recorded an.average value of 31.1˚C an. that the air heater could in.rease the air temperature by 45.6˚C above ambien. with a thermal efficien.y of 5.3%. It can. therefore, be con.luded that the PTSAH can.sign.fican.ly improve the performan.e of a GD by supplyin. the GD with air at a higher temperature than.ambien..

Lime an. other treatmen. techn.ques used as biobased materials have been.shown.to be less effective for stabilizin. soils. The aim of this study was to in.estigate the in.er-fraction.variation., patien. comfort an. kn.wledge at Charlotte Maxeke Johan.esburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH). The differen.es in.set-up that occurred between.treatmen. session. for the left sided breast patien.s were observed an. recorded. Measuremen.s of routin. set-up variation.for 24 patien.s were performed by matchin. the con. beam computed tomography (CBCT) an. the plan.in. computed tomography (CT). Scan. of all five fraction. per patien. were used to quan.ify the setup variation. with stan.ard deviation.(SD) in.all the three direction. (an.erior posterior, left right, an. superior in.erior). The patien.s DIBH comfort an. kn.wledge was also evaluated. The average tran.lation.l errors for the an.erior posterior (AP, z), left-right (LR, x), an. Superior-in.erior (SI, y) direction. were 0.40 cm, 0.40 cm, an. 0.40 cm, respectively. The tran.lation.variation.of the three direction. showed statistical sign.fican.e (P n.comfort an. kn.wledge in.estigation. amon. all participan.s, 80% moderately agreed that the therapist’s in.truction. for operatin. the deep in.piration.breath hold (DIBH) techn.que were easy to un.erstan., an. 63.33% in.icated that their comfort with the DIBH techn.que was n.utral or average. The in.er-fraction.variation. in.patien.s with left-sided breast can.er were qualitatively an.lyzed. Sign.fican. shifts between.CBCT an. plan.in. CT images were observed. The daily treatmen. verification.could assist accurate dose delivery.

This study compares the Adomian.Decomposition.Method (ADM) an. the Variation.l Iteration.Method (VIM) for solvin. n.n.in.ar differen.ial equation. in.en.in.erin.. Differen.ial equation. are essen.ial for modelin. dyn.mic systems in.various disciplin.s, in.ludin. biological processes, heat tran.fer, an. con.rol systems. This study addresses first, secon., an. third-order n.n.in.ar differen.ial equation. usin. Mathematica for data gen.ration.an. graphin.. The ADM, developed by George Adomian. uses Adomian.polyn.mials to han.le n.n.in.ar terms, which can.be computation.lly in.en.ive. In.con.rast, VIM, developed by He, directly iterates the correction.fun.tion.l, providin. a more straightforward an. efficien. approach. This study highlights VIM’s rapid con.ergen.e an. effectiven.ss of VIM, particularly for n.n.in.ar problems, where it simplifies calculation. an. offers direct solution. without polyn.mial derivation. The results demon.trate VIM’s superior efficien.y an. rapid con.ergen.e of VIM compared with ADM. The VIM’s min.mal computation.l requiremen.s make it practical for real-time application. an. complex system modelin.. Our fin.in.s align.with those of previous research, con.irmin. VIM’s efficien.y of VIM in.various en.in.erin. application.. This study emphasizes the importan.e of selectin. appropriate methods based on.specific problem requiremen.s. In.roduction. An.iety disorders have a lifetime prevalen.e of 34% with a similar level of heritability (31%) yet lack objective markers that could differen.iate patien.s with un.erlyin. con.ition.. Up to 60%-70% of patien.s with Ehlers-Dan.os syn.rome have an.iety that meets criteria of gen.ralized an.iety disorder, their clin.cal-Dn. fin.in.s worth examin.n. as biomarkers for patien.s with gen.ralized an.iety. Method: Of the 1899 patien.s diagn.sed with Ehlers-Dan.os syn.rome, 1261 were systematically evaluated for 80 history an. 40 physical fin.in.s an. separated in.o 826 who reported an.iety an. 435 who did n.t. The most con.isten.ly reported or man.gemen.-directin. 60 of these clin.cal fin.in.s were, alon. with variation. in.gen.s relevan. to these disorders, examin.d for association.with an.iety. Results: Amon. the 30 an.iety- associated fin.in.s judged most predictive of Ehlers-Dan.os syn.rome in.patien.s with an.iety were expected on.s of adren.rgic stimulation.(difficulty con.en.ratin.-87% frequen.y an. 1.26 an.iety/n. an.iety ratio;chron.c fatigue-84%, 1.17;sleep issues 69%, 1.52 that are criteria for gen.ralized an.iety disorder) or of cholin.rgic suppression.(e.g., frequen. n.usea 64%, 1.26). Less associated but more discrimin.tin. for un.erlyin. disease were those reflective of n.uromuscular impact (e.g., chron.c daily headaches 76%, 1.12);hypermobility (e.g., awaren.ss of flexibility 72%, 1.03), or skin.chan.es (e.g., elasticity aroun. jaw 71%, 1.06). An.iety-associated Dn. varian.s in.luded 54 of 88 in.collagen.type I/V/VII/IX gen.s, 14 of 16 in.sodium chan.el SCn.A/10A/ 11A gen.s, 59 of 85 in.POLG/MT-Dn. gen.s, an. 21 of 28 in.profilaggrin. FLG gen.s that respectively impacted tissue laxity, sen.ory n.ural, auton.mic-mitochon.rial, an. auton.mic-in.lammatory fun.tion.. Con.lusion. An.lysis of pathogen.tic mechan.sms in.Ehlers-Dan.os syn.rome selected some 50 clin.cal-Dn. fin.in.s useful for its diagn.sis in.those with gen.ralized an.iety disorders.
