＜正＞Objective: To evaluate the influence of urine volume and fibrinogen in nephrotic syndrom therapy with antico-agnlant therapy and Nitrogen mustard. Methods: Record the change of urine volume and fibrinogen after therapy, and contrast thesechanges. Results: The urine volume changes in the therapies of Uroknase with nitrogen mustard and Heparin are obvious（P ＜ 0.05 ）. The Nitrogen mustard and Low molecular can cut down the fibrinogen obviously（P＜ 0. 01 ）. Conclusions: The therapy methodof using Urokinase with nitrogen mustard is superior in nephrotic syndrome patient.

(i) The structure and function of the meridian (channel and collateral) described by ancient medical doctors may correspond to the blood circulation, nerve control and neurohumoral modulation of modern medicine. (ii) The needling, which can injure the tissue, is a noxious stimulation inducing pain. Acupuncture manipulation, such as lifting and thrusting, twisting and twirling, or electroacupuncture (EA) with the sufferable biggest intensity for patients should be a stronger pain stimulation. The needling sensation of soreness, numbness, distension and heaviness is a deep pain. (iii) There is an intrinsic analgesic system in brain, which centers around the periventricular and periaqueductal grey matter, contains endorphins as possible mediators, goes through the descending inhibition system in medulla oblon-gata, and acts on the gating mechanism in spinal cord. This paper deals with whether the posterior hypothalamus area(PHA) can receive signals from electroacupuncture(EA) at "Neiguan", and whether a relative specificity does exist between acupoints or acupoint and non-acupoint The neuron activity was recorded extracellularly for analyzing the influence of EA at different acupoints and nonacupoint on the discharge of PHA neurons.

BACKGROUND:Phospholipid scramblase 1(PLSCR1) not only participates in the transbilayer movement of phospholipids,but also plays a role in the pathogenesis and progression of cancers.The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of silencing PLSCR1 expression by RNA interference in colorectal cancer(CRC) and metastatic liver cancer.METHODS:The expression of PLSCR1 in CRC and metastatic liver cancer samples was assessed by immunohistochemistry.The cultured cells with the highest expression were selected for subsequent experiments.We designed three siRNA oligonucleotide segments targeted at PLSCR1.Successful transfection was confirmed.The biological behavior of the cells in proliferation,adhesion,migration and invasion was determined.RESULTS:PLSCR1 protein expression increased significantly in the majority of CRC and metastatic liver cancer samples compared with normal samples.Lovo cells had the highest expression of PLSCR1.The siRNA-390 oligonucleotide segment had the best silencing effect.After transfection,Lovo cell proliferation was significantly inhibited compared with the controls in the MTT assay.Laminin and fibronectin adhesion assays showed Lovo cell adhesion was also significantly inhibited.In the migration assay,the number of migrating cells in the PLSCR1 siRNA-390 group was 50±12,significantly lower than the number in the siRNA-N group(115±28) and in the control group(118±31).In an invasion test,the number of invading cells in the PLSCR1 siRNA-390 group was 60±18,significantly lower than that in the siRNA-N group(97±26) and the control group(103±24).CONCLUSIONS:PLSCR1 is overexpressed in CRC and metastatic liver cancer.Silencing of PLSCR1 by siRNA inhibits the proliferation,adhesion,migration and invasion of Lovo cells,which suggests that PLSCR1 contributes to the tumorigenesis and tumor progression of CRC.PLSCR1 may be a potential gene therapy target for CRC and associated metastatic liver cancer.

＜正＞Based on the scientific intensions variation concerning the Chinese medicine properties by processing,this article discusses the research approaches to explore the relation between the processing and properties of Chinese medicine.It is generally considered that the combination of the function property and pharmacological effect is the most significant and convenient way to understand the fundamental theory of traditional Chinese medicine with modern scientific technologies.Therefore,the theory of the function property can be obtained with the modern scientific methods which may clarify the scientific intensions through the basic research. Meanwhile,the relation between the processing and property can also be interpreted through the annotation of the variation regulations of the scientific intensions.

BACKGROUND: The molecular mechanism of hepaticmetastasis of colorectal cancer is not well understood. Theaim of this study was to assess the relations between phos-pholipid contents of cellular membrane and isoenzyme ex-pression of protein kinase C (PKC) and their effects on he-patic metastasis of colorectal cancer.METHODS: High performance liquid chromatography wasused to detect contents of cell membrane phospholipids:phosphatidylinosital (PI), phosphatidylserine (PS), phos-phatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphatidylcholine (PC)in primary foci, paratumor mucosa and hepatic metastaticfoci in patients with colorectal carcinoma. The mRNA ex-pression levels of PKC-α, -δ, -ε, -λ, -ξ isoenzymeswere detected with the QRT-PCR technique.RESULTS: The levels of PI, PC and PE in primary foci andhepatic metastatic foci were higher than those in paratumormucosa. The level of PE in hepatic metastatic foci wasmuch higher than that in primary foci (t =98.88, P 0.05). The expression levels of -δ, -ε,-λ, -ξ were enhanced in primary foci and hepatic metasta-tic foci, but the level of PKC-α in primary foci was de-creased as compared with that in paratumor mucosa. Thelevels of PKC-δ, -ε, -λ, -ξ in hepatic metastatic foci werehigher than those in primary foci. A positive correlationwas observed between the expression levels of PI, PC andand also between those of PE and PKC-δ, -ε, -λ,-ξ. However, there was a close negative correlation be-tween PE and PKC-α.CONCLUSION: Increased levels of PI and PC and de-creased ratio of PKC-α to are related to colorectalcancer genesis. Increased levels of PE, increased expressionof PKC-δ, -ε, -λ, -ξ isoenzymes and decreased level ofPKC-α are related to hepatic metastasis in colorectal carci-noma.

BACKGROUND: FasL expression was reported to be asso- ciated with hepatic metastasis of colorectal cancer. The aim of this study was to study FasL gene expression in colorectal carcinoma and its influences on biological behavior and he- patic metastasis of colorectal carcinoma. METHODS: FasL gene expressions were examined with re- verse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in the primary focus of colorectal carcinoma, adjacent can- cerous mucosae, and metastasized liver focus from colorec- tal cancer. HR-8348 cells of human rectal cancer cell line were transfected with FasL cDNA. Cell growth suppression rate and response to 5-FU and carboplatin were observed and analyzed with the MTT method. RESULTS: FasL gene expression was detected in the prima- ry focus of colorectal cancer ( n = 58), adjacent cancerous mucosae ( n = 58), and metastasized hepatic tumor tissues (n =28). The positive rate of FasL expression was 24% (14/ 58), 8% (5/58), and 100% (58/58) in the primary focus, adjacent cancerous mucosae and metastasized hepatic tumor tissues respectively. FasL expression rate in the me- tastasized hepatic tumor tissues was higher than that in the primary focus (χ2 = 43.49, P<0. 01) and adjacent cance- rous mucosae (χ2=57.66, P<0.01). In a group of patients with hepatic metastasis, the FasL expression rate in primary focus was higher than that in patients without hepatic me- tastasis (χ2=3.96, P <0.05). In vitro study positive expres- sion of FasL was shown in transfected HR-8348 cells. When 5-FU or carboplatin was added, there was a significant difference in growth suppression rate between FasL positive and controlled cancer cells (t=9.02, t = 11.93, P<0.01). Under the same concentration of chemotherapeutic agents, the survival rate of FasL positive HR-8348 cells was higher than that of controlled cells. CONCLUSIONS: FasL positive cancer cells are powerfullyresistant to chemotherapeutic agents.
