Predictor homotopy analysis method for nanofluid flow through expanding or contracting gaps with permeable walls

In this paper a definitely new analytical technique, predictor homotopy analysis method （PHAM）, is employed to solve the problem of two-dimensional nanofluid flow through expanding or contracting gaps with permeable walls. Moreover, comparison of the PHAM results with numerical results obtained by the shooting method coupled with a Runge- Kutta integration method as well as previously published study results demonstrates high accuracy for this technique. The fluid in the channel is water containing different nanoparticles： silver, copper, copper oxide, titanium oxide, and aluminum oxide. The effects of the nanoparticle volume fraction, Reynolds number, wall expansion ratio, and different types of nanoparticles on the flow are discussed.

Effect of silicon content on microstructure of Al-Si/SiC_p composite layer cladded on A380 Al alloy by TIG welding process

Tungsten inert gas（TIG） welding was applied to creating a composite layer on the surface of cast aluminum alloy A380. Different mixtures of Al, Si and SiC powders mixed with sodium silicate solution were pasted on substrates. Surface melting was conducted by TIG welding to produce Al-SiC layer on the surface. Microstructural evolution was investigated by X-ray diffractometry（XRD）, optical and scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and elemental microanalysis（EDS）. Properties of clad layers were studied by microhardness and sliding wear testing. The results showed a uniform distribution of SiC particles in dendritic aluminum matrix. Addition of excess silicon caused the formation of eutectic crystals and coarse silicon particles in the clad layer which resulted in higher hardness and wear resistance of clad layers.

Impact of Soil Type Used in Tunneling on Land Subsidence and Mobility Effective Time under Different Earthquake Records

During recent decades, tunnels construction in urban environments has been recognized as a useful factor in improving transportation situation in cities. Construction of underground structures like tunnels has a direct impact on the above-ground structures. The most important impacts are soil crust movement of the structure movement), acceleration change of the earthquake on structures, and land subsidence. The present research aims at seismic evaluation of the effect of soil type in land subsidence and effective mobility time in tunneling projects. For this purpose, two different soil types are chosen to model and assess factors using numerical methods. The outcome of this research concludes that tunneling changes in the dominant frequency record if these changes reach to the extent that structure frequency equals to record frequency, resonance phenomenon happens.

Darboux Transformation in Quantum Black-Scholes Hamiltonian and Supersymmetry

In this paper, we consider the Black-Scholes (BS) equation for option pricing with constant volatility. Here, we construct the first-order Darboux transformation and the real valued condition of transformed potential for BS corresponding equation. In that case we also obtain the transformed of potential and wave function. Finally, we discuss the factorization method and investigate the supersymmetry aspect of such corresponding equation. Also we show that the first order equation is satisfied by commutative algebra.
