Economical Requirements Elicitation Techniques During COVID-19: A Systematic Literature Review

Requirements elicitation is a fundamental phase of software development in which an analyst discovers the needs of different stakeholders and transforms them into *** phase is cost-and time-intensive,and a project may fail if there are excessive costs and schedule ***-19 has affected the software industry by reducing interactions between developers and *** a lack of interaction is a key reason for the failure of software *** can also fail when customers do not know precisely what they ***,selecting the unsuitable elicitation technique can also cause project *** present study,therefore,aimed to identify which requirements elicitation technique is the most cost-effective for large-scale projects when time to market is a critical issue or when the customer is not *** that end,we conducted a systematic literature review on requirements elicitation *** primary studies identified introspection as the best technique,followed by survey and *** finding suggests that introspection should be the first choice of elicitation technique,especially when the customer is not available or the project has strict time and cost ***,introspection should also be used as the starting point in the elicitation process of a large-scale project,and all known requirements should be elicited using this technique.

There is an emerging interest in using agile methodologies in Global Software Development(GSD)to get the mutual benefits of both *** is currently admired by many development teams as an agile most known meth-odology and considered adequate for collocated *** the same time,stake-holders in GSD are dispersed by geographical,temporal,and socio-cultural *** to the controversial nature of Scrum and GSD,many significant challenges arise that might restrict the use of Scrum in *** conducted a Sys-tematic Literature Review(SLR)by following Kitchenham guidelines to identify the challenges that limit the use of Scrum in GSD and to explore the mitigation strategies adopted by practitioners to resolve the *** validate our reviewfindings,we conducted an industrial survey of 305 *** results of our study are consolidated into a research *** framework represents current best practices and recommendations to mitigate the identified distributed scrum challenges and is validated byfive experts of distributed *** of the expert review were found supportive,reflecting that the framework will help the stakeholders deliver sustainable products by effectively mitigating the identified challenges.

Throughout the use of the small battery-operated sensor nodes encou-rage us to develop an energy-efficient routing protocol for wireless sensor networks(WSNs).The development of an energy-efficient routing protocol is a mainly adopted technique to enhance the lifetime of *** routing protocols are available,but the issue is still *** is one of the most important techniques in the existing routing *** the clustering-based model,the important thing is the selection of the cluster *** this paper,we have proposed a scheme that uses the bubble sort algorithm for cluster head selection by considering the remaining energy and the distance of the nodes in each ***,the bubble sort algorithm chose the two nodes with the maximum remaining energy in the cluster and chose a cluster head with a small *** proposed scheme performs hierarchal routing and direct routing with some energy *** simulation will be performed in MATLAB to justify its performance and results and compared with the ECHERP model to justify its ***,the simulations will be performed in two scenarios,gate-way-based and without gateway to achieve more energy-efficient results.

Spatio-temporal variations in trends of vegetation and drought changes in relation to climate variability from 1982 to 2019 based on remote sensing data from East Asia

Studying the significant impacts on vegetation of drought due to global warming is crucial in order to understand its dynamics and interrelationships with temperature,rainfall,and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI).These factors are linked to excesses drought frequency and severity on the regional scale,and their effect on vegetation remains an important topic for climate change *** Asia is very sensitive and susceptible to climate *** this study,we examined the effect of drought on the seasonal variations of vegetation in relation to climate variability and determined which growing seasons are most vulnerable to drought risk;and then explored the spatio-temporal evolution of the trend in drought changes in East Asia from 1982 to *** data were studied using a series of several drought indexes,and the data were then classified using a heat map,box and whisker plot analysis,and principal component *** various drought indexes from January to August improved rapidly,except for vegetation health index(VHI)and temperature condition index(TCI).While these indices were constant in September,they increased again in October,but in December,they showed a descending *** seasonal and monthly analysis of the drought indexes and the heat map confirmed that the East Asian region suffered from extreme droughts in 1984,1993,2007,and 2012among the study *** distribution of the trend in drought changes indicated that more severe drought occurred in the northwestern region than in the southeastern area of East *** drought tendency slope was used to describe the changes in drought events during 1982–2019 in the study *** correlations among monthly precipitation anomaly percentage(NAP),NDVI,TCI,vegetation condition index(VCI),temperature vegetation drought index(TVDI),and VHI indicated considerably positive correlations,while considerably negative correlations were found among the three pairs of NDVI and VHI,TVDI and VHI,and NDV

Exploring Marine Cloud Brightening with a Reduced Complexity Model

Throughout the industrial period, anthropogenic aerosols have likely offset approximately one-third of the warming caused by greenhouse gases. Marine cloud brightening aims to capitalize on one aspect of this phenomenon to potentially mitigate global warming by enhancing cloud reflectivity through adjustments in cloud droplet *** study employs a simplified yet comprehensive modeling framework, integrating an open-source parcel model for aerosol activation, a radiation transport model based on commercial computational fluid dynamics code, and assimilated meteorological data. The reduced complexity model addresses the challenges of rapid radiation transfer calculations while managing uncertainties in aerosol–cloud-radiation(ACR) parameterizations. Despite using an uncoupled ACR mechanism and omitting feedback between clouds and aerosols, our results closely align with observations, validating the robustness of our assumptions and methodology. This demonstrates that even simplified models,supported by parcel modeling and observational constraints, can achieve accurate radiation transfer calculations comparable to advanced climate models. We analyze how variations in droplets size and concentration affect cloud albedo for geoengineering applications. Optimal droplet sizes, typically within the 20–35-μm range, significantly increase cloud albedo by approximately 28%–57% across our test cases. We find that 45-μm droplets transmit about29% more solar radiation than 25-μm droplets. Effective albedo changes require injection concentrations exceeding background levels by around 30%, diminishing as concentrations approach ambient levels. Considerations must also be given to the spray pattern of droplet injections, as effective deployment can influence cloud thickness and subsequently impact cloud albedo.
