Arabidopsis ABF3 and ABF4 Transcription Factors Act with the NF-YC Complex to Regulate SOC1 Expression and Mediate Drought-Accelerated Flowering

The drought-escape response accelerates flowering in response to drought stress, allowing plants to adaptively shorten their life cycles. Abscisic acid (ABA) mediates plant responses to drought, but the role of ABA-responsive element (ABRE)-binding factors (ABFs) in the drought-escape response is poorly understood. Here, we show that Arabidopsis thaliana ABF3 and ABF4 regulate flowering in response to drought through transcriptional regulation of the floral integrator SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CONSTANS1 (SOC1). The abf3 abf4 mutant displayed ABA-insensitive late flowering under long-day conditions. Ectopic expression of ABF3 or ABF4 in the vasculature, but not in the shoot apex, induced early flowering, whereas expression of ABF3 fused with the SRDX transcript!onal repressor domain delayed flowering. We identified SOC1 as a direct downstream target of ABF3/4, and found that SOC1 mRNA levels were lower in abf3 abf4 than in wild-type plants. Moreover, induction of SOC1 by ABA was hampered in abf3 abf4 mutants. ABF3 and ABF4 were enriched at the -1028- to -657-bp region of the SOC1 promoter, which does not contain canonical ABF-ABRE-binding motifs but has the NF-Y binding element. We found that ABF3 and ABF4 interact with nuclear factor Y subunit C (NF-YC) 3/4/9 in vitro and in planta, and induction of SOC1 by ABA was hampered in nf-yc3 yc4 yc9 mutants. Interestingly, the abf3 abf4, nf-yc3 yc4 yc9, and sod mutants displayed a reduced drought-escape response. Taken together, these results suggest that ABF3 and ABF4 act with NF-YCs to promote flowering by inducing SOC1 transcription under drought conditions . This mechanism might contribute to adaptation by enabling plants to complete their life cycles under drought stress.

Hydromagnetic Blood Flow of Sisko Fluid in a Non-uniform Channel Induced by Peristaltic Wave

In this paper, a smooth repetitive osciflating wave traveling down the elastic walls of a non-uniform two- dimensional channels is considered. It is assumed that the fluid is electrically conducting and a uniform magnetic field is perpendicular to flow. The Sisko fluid is grease thick non-Newtonian fluid can be considered equivalent to blood. Taking long wavelength and low Reynolds number, the equations are reduced. The analytical solution of the emerging non-linear differential equation is obtained by employing Homotopy Perturbation Method （HPM）. The outcomes for dimensionless flow rate and dimensionless pressure rise have been computed numerically with respect to sundry concerning parameters amplitude ratio , Hartmann number M, and Sisko fluid parameter bl. The behaviors for pressure rise and average friction have been discussed in details and displayed graphically. Numerical and graphical comparison of Newtonian and non-Newtonian has also been evaluated for velocity and pressure rise. It is observed that the magnitude of pressure rise is maximum in the middle of the channel whereas for higher values of fluid parameter it increases. Further, it is also found that the velocity profile shows converse behavior along the walls of the channel against multiple values of fluid parameter.

Identification and characterization of plasma membrane aquaporins isolated from fiber cells of Calotropis procera

Calotropis procera, commonly known as "milkweed", possesses long seed trichomes for seed dispersal and has the ability to survive under harsh conditions such as drought and salinity. Aquaporins are water channel proteins expressed in all land plants, divided into five subfamilies plasma membrane intrinsic proteins (PIPs), tonoplast intrinsic proteins (TIPs), NOD26-like proteins (NIPs), small basic intrinsic proteins (SIPs), and the unfamiliar X intrinsic proteins (XIPs). PIPs constitute the largest group of water channel proteins that are involved in different developmental and regulatory mechanisms including water permeability, cell elongation, and stomata opening. Aquaporins are also involved in abiotic stress tolerance and cell expansion mechanisms, but their role in seed trichomes (fiber cells) has never been investigated. A large number of clones isolated from C. procera fiber cDNA library showed sequence homology to PIPs. Both expressed sequence tags (ESTs) and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) studies revealed that the transcript abundance of this gene family in fiber cells of C. procera is greater than that of cotton. Full-length cDNAs of CpPIP1 and CpPIP2 were isolated from C. procera fiber cDNA library and used for constructing plant expression vectors under constitutive (2×35S) and trichome-specific (GhLTP3) promoters. Transgenic tobacco plants were developed via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The phenotypic characteristics of the plants were observed after confirming the integration of transgene in plants. It was observed that CpPIP2 expression cassette under 2×35S and GhLTP3 promoter enhanced the numbers of stem and leave trichomes. However, 2×35S::CpPIP2 has a more amplified effect on trichome density and length than GhLTP3::CpPIP2 and other PIP constructs. In this article, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a coupled two-parameter system of sequential fractional integro-differential equations supplemented with nonlocal integro-multipoint boundary conditions. The standard tools of the fixed-point theory are employed to obtain the main results. We emphasize that our results are not only new in the given configuration, but also correspond to several new special cases for specific values of the parameters involved in the problem at hand.

MXenes are a novel family of two-dimensional(2D)materials that are fast gaining popularity due to their versatile *** surfaces of these materials are often functionalized by negatively charged terminal groups,such as=O,OH,and F during their synthesis,and it has been hypothesized that regulating the surface terminators enables to control the material ***,there is still a large gap between computational and experimental investigations regarding comprehending the surface functional *** with mixed terminations are consistently synthesized in experiments,although pure terminated surfaces are predicted by computational *** we summarized the nature of chemical bonding in transition metal carbide materials(MXenes)by1H and19F nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),Raman,X-ray absorption near edge structure(XANES),extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS),ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)/scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM),and thermogravimetric analysis-mass spectrometry(TGA-MS)*** literature reveals that=O,–OH,–F,and–Cl are typical MXene surface ***,recent comparative investigations on the valence band intensity distribution in MXenes reveal that the–OH cannot be considered an intrinsic termination species in *** surface terminals(=O,–OH,–F,and–Cl)of several MXenes,particularly V2CTxand Ti3C2Tx,will be identified and quantified *** have also discussed different etching approaches for the synthesis of MXene,the dependence of MXene conductivity on MXene terminating groups,and the emission of various gaseous products that evolved during its chemical *** paper provides significance,especially in the field of energy conversion and storage materials,where the intercalation process is crucial.

Measuring acoustic emission(AE)of partial discharge(PD)phenomena can be adopted to estimate the condition of power ***,the environmental noise encountered with AE of PD measurements negatively affects the accuracy of PD localisation and ***,efficient signal denoising techniques are required for noise suppression and hence,better detection *** study deals with white noise and it is a continuation of a previously published work that deals with random *** published work addresses the random noise suppression using a method named,power spectral subtraction denoising(PSSD).This study applies PSSD to the PD signals contaminated with white noise and uses a novel scheme of noise power spectrum density *** types of AE signals are examined including signals produced by corona,surface,parallel,and void *** and real data demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method over the wavelet shrinkage denoising method as it can more effectively eliminate white noise and preserve signals of low signal-to-noise ratio.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)can serve as prevailing anodes for lithium-ion batteries,due to their multiple redox-active sites and prominent structural ***,the poor electronic conductivity and inferior cyclability hinder their further ***,a synthetic methodology for trimetallic Fe-Co-Ni MOFs with nanoframe superstructures architecture(Fe-Co-Ni NFSs)via structural evolution is proposed for versatile anode materials for lithium *** to optimal compositional and structural optimization,the Fe-Co-Ni NFSs achieve exceptional electrochemical performance with superior specific capacity(1030 mAh g^(−1) at 0.1 A g^(−1)),outstanding rate capacity(414 mAh g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1)),and prolonged cyclability(489 mAh g^(−1) upon 1000 cycles at 1 A g^(−1)).Both experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that the multi-component metal centers could boost electronic conductivity,confer multiple active sites,and energetically favor Li adsorption ***,the nanoframe superstructures of Fe-Co-Ni NFSs could facilitate stress-buffering effect on volumetric expansion and prevent electrode pulverization,further improving the lithium storage *** work envisions a meticulous protocol for high-performance MOF anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.

A bipolar single-valued neutrosophic set can deal with the hesitation relevant to the information of any decision making problem in real life scenarios,where bipolar fuzzy sets may fail to handle those hesitation *** this study,we first develop a new method for solving linear programming problems based on bipolar singlevalued neutrosophic ***,we apply the score function to transform bipolar single-valued neutrosophic problems into crisp linear programming ***,we apply the proposed technique to solve fully bipolar single-valued neutrosophic linear programming problems with non-negative triangular bipolar single-valued neutrosophic numbers(TBSvNNs)and non-negative trapezoidal bipolar single-valued neutrosophic numbers(TrBSvNNs).
