The main problem of wind turbines is associated with induction generators in their power supply during short circuits in the *** this research,a new method is presented for the uninterrupted operation of a wind turbine equipped with an induction generator fed on both sides of feeding during network *** farms equipped with a doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG)require two abilities to allow system operators to increase *** capabilities include fault ride-through and synchronization of output force fluctuations,especially when these generators generate significant electrical power.A MATLAB®software environment has been used to evaluate and improve the performance of these turbines.A fuzzy complement(FC)controller is used to improve the performance of the *** results demonstrate that this controller limits the operation of the turbine current and voltage in the short-circuit mode *** results obtained from comparing two different modes,it can be said that ripple is 4%in the FC mode,while this parameter is equal to 10%for the proportional-integral controller.

Model Based Pressure Control of a Push Belt Continuously Variable Transmission

A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is a type of transmissions that provides a continuous range of speed ratios, thus it allows increasing the overall powertrain efficiency by running the engine at the optimal operating points. This paper investigates implementing a model based hydraulic pressure controller to achieve the desired CVT gear ratio. A map of desired gear ratios was estimated using the Optimal Operating Line (OOL) strategy, which minimizes the engine fuel consumption according to a defined cost function and a set of systems constraints. The controller was implemented in a complete vehicle model that includes driver, powertrain and road load models. The model was subjected to two different driving cycles and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy and the pressure controller in keeping the engine at the most efficient operating regions.

Angiomatous Meningioma Presenting with Depression: A Case Report and Literature Review

Meningiomas are classified into three types according to the World Health Organization classification system which is based on morphologic criteria. Type 1 is the benign variant, in which meningothelial is the most common subtype. Angiomatous also belongs to the same subtype but comprises only 2.1% of all meningiomas. Although most meningiomas are asymptomatic, some may present with varying symptoms ranging from seizures to focal deficits. Often, large meningiomas can also manifest as neuropsychiatric symptoms ranging from depression to overt psychosis. Here, in this case, we have further elaborated the importance of the organic cause of psychiatric symptoms as our patient initially presented with symptoms of depression. Regarding the diagnosis of meningiomas, nowadays excellent neuro-imaging methods are available, however, histological examination and immunohistochemistry remain the gold standard tools for a definite diagnosis. In our patient, the histological examination showed well-formed sinusoids and vascular channels which were consistent with the diagnosis of an angiomatous variant. Gross total resection of the lesion remains the treatment of choice with radiation therapy being used for residual tumors postoperatively. Being a type 1 variant, these meningiomas have a very small risk of recurrence. Here, we have presented a rare variant of meningioma initially presenting with prominent psychiatric symptoms of depression advancing to focal deficits.

In this paper we present a full-geometry Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling of air flow distribution from an automotive engine cooling fan. To simplify geometric modeling and mesh generation, different solution domains have been considered, the Core model, the Extended-Hub model, and the Multiple Reference Frame (MRF) model. We also consider the effect of blockage on the flow and pressure fields. The Extended-Hub model simplifies meshing without compromising accuracy. Optimal locations of the computational boundary conditions have been determined for the MRF model. The blockage results in significant difference in pressure rise, and the difference increases with increasing flow rates. Results are in good agreement with data obtained from an experimental test facility. Finally, we consider Simplified Fan Models which simplifies geometric modeling and mesh generation and significantly reduce the amount of computer memory used and time needed to carry out the calculations. Different models are compared in regards to efficiency and accuracy. The effect of using data from different planes is considered to optimize performance. The effect of blockage on simplified models is also considered.

Design and Implementation of Iris Pattern Recognition Using Wireless Network System

The goal of this paper is to propose a fast and accurate iris pattern recognition system by using wireless network system. This paper consists of three parts: the first part includes two methods of the iris pattern recognition system: Libor Masek and genetic algorithms, the second part includes the compression-decompression process of iris image using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as a data reduction method, in order to reduce image size, and the third part talks about wireless network. In this work, an iris image is transferred across wireless network which contains two independent-parallel lines connected to the central Personal Computer (PC) in order to be recognized at the end of each line, then the results of recognition are sent back to the central PC. The proposed genetic algorithm, which is used in this paper is more accurate than Masek algorithm and has low computational time and complexity, which makes this method better than Masek method in recognizing iris patterns.

Multi-Stage Image Compression-Decompression System Using PCA/IPCA to Enhance Wireless Transmission Security

The goal of this paper is to propose a fast and secure multi-stage image compression-decompression system by using a wireless network between two Personal Computers (PCs). In this paper, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique is used for multi-stage image compression and Inverse Principal Component Analysis (IPCA) for multi-stage image decompression. The first step of the proposed system is to select the input image, the second step is to perform PCA up to 9 times on the input image, this compression, and after multi-stage compression process then the third step begins by transforming across wireless Ad hoc Network (WANET) to the second computing device, forth step start with multi-stage decompression process up 9 times. The proposed system for different images is transferred over the wireless network using Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), which is programmed using the network role property of the MATLAB program. The proposed system implements 25 different images correctly (100%). The main contribution of this paper is that we are dealing with the black image at the end of the compressed process ad start with a black image at the start of the decompressed process of this proposed system. In this work, the compressed and uncompressed images are compared with each other in their size and transmission time. This system can be very useful in networks because they provide a high level of protection to the transmitted data from hackers because they cannot guess how much the image has been compressed or what kind of information the image represents.

Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) as (i) Type in the Photovoltaic Cell of Nano-Dimensions

In this paper, a new modified approach to design the photovoltaic cell has been presented by adding Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) as type (i). The main issue is to increase the efficiency of the photovoltaic cell, on the other hand, to exploit a larger range of electromagnetic wave frequencies, specifically a range within terahertz (THz) frequency domain, using 3D EM computer simulation technology (CST). It is clear in the normal PV cell start working at frequency of 500 THz, while the frequency at which the PV cell with SWCNTs operates is much less and it is close to zero, on the other hand, the PV cell with SWCNTs needs a larger cross-section area of 2800 nm2 to operate at frequency of 500 THz. This cell can be easily produced industrially, which means increases the efficiency of solar cell.

Fuzzy Logic–Based Scheme for Load Balancing in Grid Services

Load balancing is essential for efficient utilization of resources and enhancing the responsiveness of a computational grid, especially that hosts of services most frequently used, i.e. food, health and nutrition. Various techniques have been developed and applied;each has its own limitations due to the dynamic nature of the grid. Efficient load balancing can be achieved by an effective measure of the node’s/cluster’s utilization. In this paper, as a part of an NSTIP project # 10-INF1381-04 and in order to assess of FAQIH framework ability to support the load balance in a computational grid that hosts of food, health and nutrition inquire services. We detail the design and implementation of a proposed fuzzy-logic-based scheme for dynamic load balancing in grid computing services. The proposed scheme works by using a fuzzy logic inference system which uses some metrics to capture the variability of loads and specifies the state of each node per a cluster. Then, based on the overall nodes’ states, the state of the corresponding cluster will be defined in order to assign the newly arrived inquires such that load balancing among different clusters and nodes is accomplished. Many experiments are conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy-logic-based scheme to support the load balance where the results show that the proposed scheme achieves really satisfactory and consistently load balance than of other randomize approaches in grid computing services.

The ffect of tin-oxide(SnO)nanoparticles,which are obtained by indium-tin-oxide(ITO)treatment,on the p-GaN surface of GaN-based flip-chip blue micro-light-emitting diode(μ-LED)arrays is investigated.A thin Ag layer is deposited on the ITO-treated p-GaN surface by *** nanoparticles originate from inho-mogencous Schottly barrier heights(SBHs)at Ag/p-GaN ***,efective SBH is reduced,which causes carrier transport into theμ-LED to enhance.10 nm thick ITO-treatedμ-LEDs show better optoelectronic characteristics among fabricated u-LEDs owing to improved ohmic contact and highly reflective p-type ***,SnO nanoparticles help to make good ohmic contact,which results in improved carrier transport intoμ-LEDs and thus results in increased optoelectronic performances.

据报道,2020年新冠肺炎疫情导致塑料废物的日产量增加了约5.4万吨。生物质废物是另一种常见的废物,其中农业和农林业、森林和木材加工以及城市垃圾都是主要的生物质废物来源。化学链共气化是一种新型转化技术,基于此技术有望开发出长期的废弃物管理系统,从而减少温室气体排放并提高能源回收率。本文的研究目的是探索苜蓿和聚乙烯的共气化机理,以生产高氢碳比质量的合成气,以满足费托合成工艺的需求。构建了基于固定床反应器的实验室规模化学链气化(CLG)系统,开展了对紫花苜蓿和聚乙烯的气化试验,结果表明可以生产出高H2/CO 比的合成气。研究细节如下:1.开展了紫花苜蓿(单一燃料)的化学链气化试验,以研究重要操作参数对合成气组成和质量的影响。结果表明,在较高的气化温度下,最终产物分布显著改善,因此,950℃是气化的理想温度。同时,由于水煤气变换反应,蒸气燃料比(S/AL)的增加造成了更高的H2和更低的CO 比率,最终,S/AL比为1被认为最佳。此外,载氧体燃料比(OC/AL)的增加会造成更多的炭气化;但另一方面,过量的载氧体将会促进合成气的氧化,从而导致合成气低位发热量的降低。最终,OC/AL比为0.5被认为是最理想的。2.研究了苜蓿和聚乙烯混合物的化学链共气化过程。原料中聚乙烯的存在导致了合成气产量特别是氢气产量的增加,当H2/CO 比增加到2以上后,所得的合成气可以满足费托合成的需求。当混合比为50%时,低位发热量和H2/CO 比均可达到最大值(14.05 MJ/Nm3和2.50)。通过比较单一燃料和混合燃料试验的气体产物结果,证明了化学链共气化中存在协同效应。与生物质样品相比,塑料中更高的C和H含量促进更高H2峰值浓度的实现。该共气化过程的协同效应反映在了纯样品和混合物样品之间观察到的不同趋势中。3.通过化学链氧化还原循环研究了载氧体的反应性。结果表明,铁矿石作为载氧体的循环性能相对稳定。然而,在化学链共气化循环中,H2产率逐渐降低。这可归因于在第3和第6次氧化还原循环后,OC表面上矿物元素的累积。本文研究表明,生物质与塑料的化学链共气化是实现高质量合成气生产、以及环境保护和材料回收的一个潜力途径。
