Practical experiences with the First Relative Gravimeter of Type Scintrex CG-6 Autograv in Dubai, The United Arab of emirates

In September 2019, the Dubai Municipality of Dubai emirate, the United Arab of emirates, has received its first Scintrex CG-6 Autograv gravity meter. This paper describes the installation and initial gravity signals with the new CG-6 Autograv gravimeter. Two gravity field sites have been selected in Dubai City and Hatta mountainous area. The relative gravity field measurements have been recorded for about one month time span;two weeks in Dubai and two weeks in Hatta. Among different effects reducing the gravity measurements, the tide and drift corrections have been focused on this paper. Two tidal models have been applied to reduce the tide effect based on the automated eTGTAB of the CG-6 gravimeter and eTeRNA3.3 software. The results regarding the tide correction show very small discrepancies between both models (eTGTAB and eTeRNA3.3) of about 2.2 μGal and 2.6 μGal in terms of standard deviations at Dubai and Hatta gravity stations, respectively. So, the outcome of the precise tidal model of CG-6 Autograv gravimeter is reliable for tidal reduction within Dubai area and its surroundings. Regarding the drift correction, the CG-6 Autograv provides low instrument drift values about 2.44 μGal and -2.35 μGal per day for the Dubai and Hatta stations, respectively. Furthermore, it is recommended that the Hatta gravity station would be considered as a stable and trusted gravity site. For Dubai gravity station, the gravity observations are affected by some noises from traffic activities while recording the gravity signal during the working days. Therefore, it is recommended for Dubai gravity station to be measured during the weekends and at nights in order to avoid any noises affecting the CG-6 gravimeter.

Review on the estimating the effective Way for Managing the Produced Water: Case Study

Water manufactured is the primary waste source in the oil and gas industry. Because of the rising amount of waste worldwide, the environmental effect of wastewater has become a primary environmental concern in recent years. The vast amounts involved have resulted in considerable costs to the industry for handling produced water. This research explains the wide variety of choices for water management. This research’s first phase was water minimization techniques, consisting of three different applications made in three different wells (Well 1, Well 2 and Well 3) and water recycling and reuse by two techniques. In Well 1, Mechanical shut-off technique was applied using through tubing bridge plug and 5 m cement dumped above it to isolate the watered out zone;as per water oil ration plot the water cut is decreased from 100% to 4% and the production is increased from 0 to 400 bcpd. In Well 2, Chemical shut-off technique using a polymer called Brightwater has been used to block channeling through high permeability intervals after PLT log detected it, and the result was brilliant, the water cut decreased from 60% to 25%, also the oil production increase from 500 to 3000 bopd. In Well 3, downhole separator installed in it using workover (unfortunately, this technique is not applied in middle east till the moment so this application is taken from an oil field in Canada)and the result was perfect, the water cut decreased from 70% to 28%, also the oil production increase from 44 to 100 bopd. This study tried to clarify and compare the most widely used water management techniques using one of the Western Desert (W.D.) (enhanced for oil recovery, constructed wetland).

The Impact of Social Media on Dietary Behaviors and Body Image of College Students: A Qualitative Approach

Background: The use of social media platforms for health and nutrition information has become popular among college students. Although social media made information readily accessible in different formats, nutritional misinformation promoted by influencers and non-experts caused negative impact on diet behavior and perception of body image. Previous research indicated that extensive use of social media was positively linked to disordered eating behaviors. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram that allow users to follow celebrities intensified exposure to influencers’ messages and images and resulted in negative moods and body dissatisfaction. Objective: This paper aims to explore the impact of social media on college students’ dietary behaviors and body image. Participants: 18 undergraduate students from a public university in the Southern United States were recruited through a mass email. Methods: A cross-sectional qualitative study of three focus groups was conducted. The focus groups were based on guiding open-ended questions. *** was used to code and analyze the data using inductive and deductive codes. Results: Three main themes were identified. The conditions theme included elements that explain why and how social media influences the participants’ actions. The actions theme included eating behavior, physical activity, and dietary supplement intake. The consequences theme describes anticipated or actual outcomes of actions such as body image and ideal weight. Conclusions: Social media has had a negative influence on diet behaviors and a positive influence on physical activity. evidence-based nutrition and weight management information is needed to thwart potential misinformation.

Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has infected millions people worldwide and is continuing to spread rapidly. Patients with COVID-19 may be superinfected with other microorganisms. The prevalence of bacterial superinfection among coronavirus patients is not well understood. Aim: The aim of presenting this case is to highlight the problem of Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) bacterial infection in COVID-19 patients. Case Presentation: Here we reported a 46 years old patient with the previous history of em>escherichia coli em>urinary tract infection. A few weeks later, the patient was recovered from COVID-19 infection and was treated with antiviral therapy until PCR results become negative. Meanwhile, the patients developed urinary tract infection with MDR em>escherichia coliem> even resistant to imipenem and required a critical treatment. Conclusion: Our finding suggests that greater attention should be paid to coronavirus infection complications and prophylaxis use of antibiotics. In addition, more studies are required to better understand the risk factors which are responsible for the superinfection and emergence of drug-resistant strains during COVID-19 infection.

The classification of central nervous system(CNS)glioma went through a sequence of developments,between 2006 and 2021,started with only histological approach then has been aided with a major emphasis on molecular signatures in the 4^(th) and 5^(th) editions of the World Health Organization(WHO).The recent reformation in the 5th edition of the WHO classification has focused more on the molecularly defined entities with better characterized natural histories as well as new tumor types and subtypes in the adult and pediatric *** new subclassified entities have been incorporated in the 5^(th) edition after the continuous exploration of new genomic,epigenomic and transcriptomic ***,the current guidelines of 2021 WHO classification of CNS tumors and european Association of Neuro-Oncology(eANO)exploited the molecular signatures in the diagnostic approach of CNS *** current review presents a practical diagnostic approach for diffuse CNS gliomas and circumscribed astrocytomas using histomolecular criteria adopted by the recent WHO *** also describe the treatment strategies for these tumors based on eANO guidelines.

Validation of CFD-DeM model for iron ore reduction at particle level and parametric study

Iron ore reduction is a primary unit operation in current metallurgy processes and dominates the energy consumption and greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions of the iron-making process,Therefore,even a slight improvement of the energy efficiency or GHG emissions of iron ore reduction would yield considerable benefits to the cost of pig iron and,more importantly,to mitigation of the associated carbon *** current study presents a discrete model that describes the iron ore reduction process for a single *** transient reaction progress can be predicted and is validated against experimental measurements under various operating conditions,including different reducing gases and *** effects of pressure,isothermality,gas composition,and flow rate on reduction are *** reduction rate increases significantly with increasing pressure until 5 atm,and the entire reduction process occurs more slowly under non-isothermal conditions than under isothermal *** work provides a solid foundation for the development of a comprehensive particulate system model that considers both heat and mass transfer.
