An experi.ent was conducted to test the effi.acy of a mechani.al barri.r around the tree trunk wi.h one spray of Cypermethri. @ 1 ml/l and turmeri. powder extract @ 15 g/500ml of water appli.d i. i.tegrated approaches agai.st mango mealybug on mango tree. There were 7 treatments i.cludi.g a control. The treatments were Mechani.al barri.r, Cypermethri. spray @ 1 ml/l, Turmeri. powder spray @ 15 g/500ml of water, Cypermethri. spray + Turmeri. spray, Cypermethri. spray + Mechani.al barri.r, Turmeri. + Mechani.al barri.r and untreated control. Three-year-old mango plants grafted from a 5-year-old mango tree (Vari.ty Amropali. and planted i. pots were used i. the experi.ent. The treatment, Cypermethri. spray + Mechani.al barri.r gave the hi.hest reducti.n of mango mealybug populati.n 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Turmeri. spray + Mechani.al barri.r and showed 81.13% to 86.04% and Mechani.al barri.r alone showed 81.13% to 84.59% populati.n reducti.n. Turmeri. powder extract showed only (8.42% to 23.77%) populati.n reducti.n of mango mealybug whi.h was lowest compared to other treatments.

The possi.i.i.y of determi.i.g the i.tegri.y of a real structure subjected to non-i.vasi.e and non-destructi.e moni.ori.g, such as that carri.d out by a seri.s of accelerometers placed on the structure, i. certai.ly a goal of extreme and current i.terest. i. the present work, the results obtai.ed from the processi.g of experi.ental data of a real structure are shown. The analyzed structure i. a latti.e structure approxi.ately 9 m hi.h, moni.ored wi.h 18 uni.xi.l accelerometers posi.i.ned i. pai.s on 9 di.ferent levels. The data used refer to conti.uous moni.ori.g that lasted for a total of 1 year, duri.g whi.h mi.or damage was caused to the structure by alternati.ely removi.g some braci.gs and reposi.i.ni.g them i. the structure. Two methodologi.s detecti.g damage based on decomposi.i.n techni.ues of the acqui.ed data were used and tested, as well as a methodology combi.i.g the two techni.ues. The results obtai.ed are extremely i.teresti.g, as all the mi.or damage caused to the structure was i.enti.i.d by the processi.g methods used, based solely on the moni.ored data and wi.hout any knowledge of the real structure bei.g analyzed. The results use 15 acqui.i.i.ns i. envi.onmental condi.i.ns lasti.g 10 mi. each, a reasonable amount of ti.e to get i.medi.te feedback on possi.le damage to the structure. © 2024 The Authors.
