In this paper we have designed a biosensor device built from B-N substituted graphene nanoribbon within density functional based tight-binding (DFTB) framework. We have investigated the interaction of the nucleobases adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C) and Thymine (T) with device. Our calculation suggests that all the nucleobases have different interaction strength when they interact with device and shows that guanine has stronger interaction with device than other nucleobases. It reveals that the absorption energy shows the hierarchy: G > C > T > A. Our results also demonstrate the transport properties of the device and how the transport properties change due to the absorption of nucleobases on the device.

The field of object tracking has recently made significant ***,the performance results in both deep learning and correlation filters,based trackers achieved effective tracking ***,there are still some difficulties with object tracking for example illumination and deformation(DEF).The precision and accuracy of tracking algorithms suffer from the effects of such *** this situation,finding a solution is *** research proposes a new tracking algorithm to handle this *** features are extracted by using Modified LeNet-5,and the precision and accuracy are improved by developing the Real-Time Cross-modality Correlation Filtering method(RCCF).In Modified LeNet-5,the visual tracking performance is improved by adjusting the number and size of the convolution kernels in the pooling and convolution *** high-level,middle-level,and handcraft features are extracted from the modified LeNet-5 *** handcraft features are used to determine the specific location of the target because the handcraft features contain more spatial information regarding the visual *** LeNet features are more suitable for a target appearance change in object *** experiments were conducted by the Object Tracking Benchmarking(OTB)databases like OTB50 and *** experimental results reveal that the proposed tracker outperforms other state-of-the-art trackers under different *** experimental simulation is carried out in *** overall success rate and precision of the proposed algorithm are 93.8%and 92.5%.The average running frame rate reaches 42 frames per second,which can meet the real-time requirements.

Effect of Diazotrophs and Chemical Fertilizers on Production and Economics of Okra (<i>Abelmoschus esculentus</i>, L.) Cultivars

The effect of diazotrophs and chemical fertilizers on yield attributing characters and economics of okra cultivation was evaluated. Application of highest dose of NPK @100% in combination with vermicompost (5 t ha-1) and biofertilizers with FYM increased the fruit yield of okra (cultivar Mahyco-10) considerably with yield varying between 80.00 q ha-1 to 227.13 q ha-1 and 80.49 q ha-1 to 229.62 q ha-1 during 2010 and 2011 respectively. In okra cv. Utkal Gaurav the fruit yield varied from 47.68 q ha-1 to 129.84 q ha-1 in 2010 and 47.27 q ha-1 to 131.35 q ha-1 in 2011. As regards the net return, highest net profit of Rs 87,630 and Rs. 89,370 ha-1 from the okra was realized over an investment of Rs. 71,360 ha-1 during both the years with a benefit cost ratio of 2.23 and 2.25 when 100% NPK integrated with vermicompost @5t ha-1 and biofertilizers with FYM applied in okra ***-10. The highest net return of Rs. 14,350 in 2010 and Rs. 15,260 in 2011 with an investment of Rs. 63,550 each year was found in cultivar Utkal Gaurav under highest level of nutrient application.

Installation of Distributed Generator (DG) is a well accepted method to improve power system operation from the point of reducing congestion and improving voltage profiles. For best results, Distributed Generators should be placed at strategic locations to exploit maximum benefits out of them. The (N-1) contingency criterion has been taken into account in this work. Most congested lines of the grids are ranked by congestion Index and considered to study the impact of DG penetration on congestion. The present paper proposes contribution factors of Distributed Generators for the placement of DG to keep the line flow within the capacity of each transmission line of the network. The results obtained from IEEE 30-bus test system indicate that the proposed methods are capable of identifying desirable DG location and its maximum allowable size. The influence of DG on bus voltage profile has also been demonstrated in this paper.

Bacterial attachment is influenced by the cell surface, attachment media and other environmental factors. Bacterial community composition involved in biofilm formation in extremely high rainfall areas like Cherrapunjee has not been reported. The present study was undertaken to characterize bacteria involved in biofilm formation on different substrata in water bodies of Cherrapunjee, the highest rainfall receiving place on planet earth and to assess if the continuous rainfall has an effect on nature and colonization of biofilm bacteria. We developed the biofilm bacteria on stainless steel and glass surfaces immersed in water bodies of the study sites. Isolation of biofilm bacteria were performed on different culture media followed by estimation of protein and carbohydrate content of bacterial exopolysaccharides. 16S rRNA gene sequences were amplified for molecular characterization. The results showed that the biofilm bacterial diversity in water bodies of Cherrapunjee was influenced by substratum and was observed more in stainless steel than glass surface. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that biofilm microstructure may represent a key determinant of biofilm growth and physiology of associated bacteria. The overall protein content of the extracted EPS of all the isolates were relatively higher than the carbohydrate content. Diverse bacteria proliferated on the substrata regardless of each other's presence, with more diverse bacteria colonizing the substrata on 7th day compared to 15th day of incubation. The biofilm bacteria compositions in the highest rainfall receiving habitat were not distinctly different from reports available, hence not unique from other water bodies.

As a matter of fact, infectious diseases hamper everyone’s life and produce a lifelong threat to everyone neutral of age, sex, lifestyle and socio-economic status. Nowadays, come into the sight of Chikungunya viral (CHIKV) infection injured many Asian and African countries, also deliberated threat in rising countries and also low socio-economic countries. CHIKV is a positive-sense, enveloped single-stranded, RNA virus belonging to the genus Alphavirus, family Togaviridae. As the Dengue & Chikungunya viruses are spread simultaneously at the same time, so it is tough to identify them. In our resource-limited countries, swift detection of CHIKV by RT-LAMP is the simplest molecular technique in low-equipment settings without the use of any expensive decoration. Heat-treated centrifuged and uncentrifuged samples were used in this study and they showed the same result (100%). Different instruments like heat block, water bath, conventional thermal cycler & real-time thermal cycler were used to amplify the CHIKV RNA and they indicated that 100% samples were identified by all four instruments. The amplified products were visualized by turbidity test, color change by HNB, step-ladder band pattern in agarose gel electrophoresis and amplification curve in real-time thermal cycler naked eye, here the results also showed 100% samples were determined by all visualized methods. Reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) is a recent technique for amplifying RNA under limited temperature, with high tangibility, quickness and competency. To identify the CHIKV RNA Reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification was fabricated and validated, and the results were also compared with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The sensitivity was 95.71% and specificity was 100%, these results indicate that RT-LAMP is a feasible method for quick detection of CHIKV RNA.
