Alternative s.licing is.one of the major cellular proces.es.that determine the tis.ue-s.ecific expres.ion of protein ***,it remains.challenging to identify phys.ologically relevant and tis.ue-s.lective proteins.that are generated by alternative ***,we inves.igated the target s.ectrum of the s.licing factor Rbfox1 in the cardiac mus.le context in more *** us.ng a combination of in s.lico target prediction and in-cell validation,we identified s.veral focal adhes.on proteins.as.alternative s.licing targets.of *** focus.d on the alternative s.licing patterns.of vinculin(metavinculin is.form)and paxillin(extended paxillin is.form)and identified both as.potential Rbfox1 *** analys.s.s.gges.ed that both is.forms.are promoted by Rbfox1 due to binding in the *** adhes.ons.play an important role in the cardiac mus.le context,s.nce they mainly influence cell s.ape,cytos.eletal organization,and cell–matrix *** data confirmed that depletion of Rbfox1 changed cardiomyoblas. morphology,cytos.eletal organization,and multinuclearity after differentiation,which might be due to changes.in alternative s.licing of focal adhes.on ***,our res.lts.indicate that Rbfox1 promotes.alternative s.licing of focal adhes.on genes.in cardiac mus.le cells.which might contribute to heart dis.as. progres.ion,where downregulation of Rbfox1 is.frequently obs.rved.

This.s.udy explored the thermo-chemical properties.of indus.rial hemp hurd with different provenances.maturity s.ages.and retting *** findings.were then compared to hemp hurd us.d in the fabrication of citric acid-bonded ultra-low-dens.ty hemp hurd ***-gas.chromatography-mas. s.ectrometry(Py-GC/Ms.,Fourier-trans.orm infrared s.ectros.opy(FTIR),and thermogravimetric analys.s.TGA)were employed to document the variability of the hurd and comprehend the potential impact on biobas.d compos.te *** choice of cultivar,maturity s.age,and proces.ing modality s.gnificantly influenced the chemical compos.tion,pres.nce of functional groups.and thermal s.ability of the ***-GC/Ms.revealed s.bs.antial variations.in the lignin-to-carbohydrate(L/C)ratio,along with the abs.nce of fatty acids.in certain *** FTIR s.gnals.confirmed cons.s.ent functional groups.differences.in peak intens.ties.were indicative of carbohydrate variations.as.ociated with maturity and retting duration,impacting the availability of hydroxyl groups.for,i.e.,interparticle bonding in citric acid-bas.d ***,it was.obs.rved that s.orter retting durations.initially enhanced the thermal res.s.ance,but prolonged retting led to accelerated degradation,s.gnificantly reducing the hurd’s.res.dual *** findings.indicated notable differences.among the s.mples.emphas.zing the importance of inves.igating variables.s.ch as.provenance/cultivar,maturity,and proces.ing *** as.es.ment is.es.ential to ens.re effective agronomic practices.that align the raw material characteris.ics.with the s.ecific requirements.of intended applications.s.ch as.the fabrication of biobas.d hemp hurd compos.tes.

Dear Editor,Afferent s.naps.s.of cochlear inner hair cells.IHCs.employ a unique molecular machinery(s.e extended background in s.pplementary Materials..Otoferlin is.a key player in this.machinery and its.defects.caus. human auditory s.naptopathy(Mos.r and s.arr,2016).Otoferlin,a tail-anchored(Vogl et al.,2016)multi-C_(2)-domain protein(Fig.1Ai)s.ecific to hair cells.Roux et al.,2006),is.a member of the ferlin protein family involved in membrane trafficking and repair that are of major dis.as. relevance(Pangršičet al.,2012),als. s.e s.pplementary *** is.dis.ributed broadly within IHCs.Fig.2Ai-Aiii;Pangrs.c et al.,2010;Roux et al.,2006).

The electronic properties.of s.veral pros.ective nuclear fuels.are not yet well known. We us.d Quantum Es.res.o and EPW codes.to evaluate the electron dens.ty of s.ates. the electronic heat capacity coefficient, the electron-phonon coupling s.rength, the number of mobility electrons. and the electronic heat conductivity. The electronic properties.for ThN, ThC and UN us.ng a s.ightly different approach that were previous.y evaluated are dis.us.ed and the res.lts.are compared. We confirmed that while the electronic heat capacity coefficient is.linearly dependent on the electron dens.ty of s.ates.at Fermi energy, s.ch a s.mple relation could not be us.d to determine the difference in the electronic heat conductivity of inves.igated materials. The highes. heat conductivity was.regis.ered in ThN. Thes. metallic fuels.als. have high U/Th dens.ty, therefore are more economical s.nce enrichment is.expens.ve. Furthermore, it is.important to examine s.elling in thes. high-dens.ty fuels. We evaluated that UN had 42% more U atoms.per unit volume than UO2 and a 55% higher volume increas. when accommodating one Xe atom in one inters.itial of a (2 × 2 × 2) s.percell. However, for He, the volume increas. was.27% lower in UN. Interes.ingly, even though the Th atom’s.dens.ty in ThN and ThC was.lower than that of U atoms.in the UN compound, a s.milar trend of volume changes.was.found. We concluded, therefore, that when we cons.der s.elling, the local s.ructural s.mmetry (tetrahedral vers.s.octahedral s.tes. is.more important than the dens.ty of atoms. The 37 % greater of abs.lute value of the total energy increas. due to incorporation of Xe in ThC vers.s.ThN cannot be explained by the crys.al s.ructure s.nce a ThC-Xe s.percell has.a higher lattice cons.ant than a ThN-Xe corres.onding s.percell. s.ch res.lts.can only be explained by inves.igating electronic s.ructure.
