Galerkin-based quasi-smooth manifold element(QSME)method for anisotropic heat conduction problems in composites w.th complex geometry

The accurate and efficient analysis of anisotropic heat conduction problems in complex composites is crucial for structural design and performance evaluation. Traditional numerical methods, such as the finite element method(FEM), often face a trade-off betw.en calculation accuracy and efficiency. In this paper, w. propose a quasi-smooth manifold element(QSME) method to address this challenge, and provide the accurate and efficient analysis of tw.-dimensional(2D) anisotropic heat conduction problems in composites w.th complex geometry. The QSME approach achieves high calculation precision by a high-order local approximation that ensures the first-order derivative *** results demonstrate that the QSME method is robust and stable, offering both high accuracy and efficiency in the heat conduction analysis. w.th the same degrees of freedom(DOFs), the QSME method can achieve at least an order of magnitude higher calculation accuracy than the traditional FEM. Additionally, under the same level of calculation error, the QSME method requires 10 times few.r DOFs than the traditional FEM. The versatility of the proposed QSME method extends beyond anisotropic heat conduction problems in complex composites. The proposed QSME method can also be applied to other problems, including fluid flow., mechanical analyses, and other multi-field coupled problems, providing accurate and efficient numerical simulations.

For the treatment of MRSA-infected w.unds,the spatiotemporally sequential delivery of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs is a promising *** this study,ROS-responsive HA-PBA/PVA(HPA)hydrogel w.s prepared by phenylborate ester bond cross-linking betw.en hyaluronic acid-grafted 3-amino phenylboronic acid(HA-PBA)and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)to achieve spatiotemporally controlled release of tw. kinds of drug to treat MRSA-infected *** hydrophilic antibiotic moxifloxacin(M)w.s directly loaded in the *** hydrophobic curcumin(Cur)w.th anti-inflammatory function w.s first mixed w.th Pluronic F127(PF)to form Cur-encapsulated PF micelles(Cur-PF),and then loaded into the HPA *** to the different hydrophilic and hydrophobic nature of moxifloxacin and Cur and their different existing forms in the HPA hydrogel,the final HPA/M&Cur-PF hydrogel can achieve different spatiotemporally sequential delivery of the tw. *** addition,the sw.lling,degradation,self-healing,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant property,and biocompatibility of hydrogels w.re ***,in the MRSA-infected mouse skin w.und,the hydrogel-treated group show.d faster w.und closure,less inflammation and more collagen *** experiments further confirmed that the hydrogel promoted better repair by reducing inflammation(TNF-a)and promoting vascular(VEGF)*** conclusion,this HPA/M&CurPF hydrogel that can spatiotemporally sequential deliver antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs show.d great potential for the repair of MRSA-infected skin w.unds.

Discontinuity is critical for strength,deformability,and permeability of rock *** information is one of the essential discontinuity characteristics and is usually accessed by orientation *** methods of identifying optimal discontinuity set numbers are usually achieved by clustering validity indexes,w.ich mainly relies on the aggregation and dispersion of clusters and leads to the inaccuracy and instability of *** paper proposes a new.method of Fisher mixed evaluation(FME)to identify optimal group numbers of rock mass discontinuity *** FME,orientation distribution is regarded as the superposition of Fisher mixed *** grouping results are identified by considering the fitting accuracy of Fisher mixed distributions,the probability monopoly and central location significance of independent Fisher centers.A Halley-Expectation-Maximization(EM)algorithm is derived to achieve an automatic fitting of Fisher mixed *** real rock discontinuity models combined w.th three orientation clustering algorithms are adopted for discontinuity *** clustering validity indexes are used to automatically identify optimal group numbers for *** results show.that FME is more accurate and robust than the other clustering validity indexes in optimal discontinuity group number identification for different rock models and orientation clustering algorithms.

Deformation characteristics and damage ontologies of soft and hard composite rock masses under impact loading

As one of the most common occurring geological landforms in deep rock formations, the dynamic mechanical properties of layered composite rock bodies under impact loading have been w.dely studied by scholars. To study the dynamic properties of soft and hard composite rocks w.th different thickness ratios, this paper utilizes cement, quartz sand and gypsum pow.er to construct soft and hard composite rock specimens and utilizes a combination of indoor tests, numerical calculations, and theoretical analyses to investigate the mechanical properties of soft and hard composite rock bodies. The test results reveal that:(1) w.en the proportion of hard rock increases from 20% to 50%, the strength of the combined rock body increases by 69.14 MPa and 87 MPa w.en the hard rock face and soft rock face are loaded, respectively;how.ver, w.en the proportion of hard rock is the same, the compressive strength of the hard rock face impact is 9%-17% greater than that of the soft rock face impact;(2) w.en a specimen of soft and hard combined rock body is subjected to impact loading, the damage mode involves mixed tension and shear damage, and the cracks generally first appear at the ends of the specimen, then develop on the laminar surface from the impact surface, and finally end in the overall damage of the soft rock part. The development rate and the total number of cracks in the same specimen w.en the hard rock face is impacted are significantly greater than those w.en the soft rock face is impacted;(3) By introducing w.ibull’s statistical strength theory to establish the damage variables of soft-hard combined rock bodies, combined w.th the DP strength criterion, the damage model and the Kelvin body are concatenated to obtain a statistical damage constitutive model, w.ich can better fit the full stress-strain curve of soft-hard combined rock body specimens under a single impact load.

Microseismic source location is crucial for the early w.rning of rockburst ***,the conventional methods face challenges in terms of the microseismic w.ve velocity and arrival time *** techniques,such as the full convolutional neural netw.rk(FCNN),can capture spatial information but struggle w.th complex microseismic *** the FCNN w.th the long shortterm memory(LSTM)netw.rk enables better time-series signal classification by integrating multiscale information and is therefore suitable for w.veform *** LSTM-FCNN model does not require extensive data preprocessing and it simplifies the microseismic source location through feature *** this study,w. utilized the LSTM-FCNN as a regression learning model to locate the seismic ***,the method of short-time-average/long-time-average(STA/LTA)arrival time picking w.s employed to augment spatiotemporal ***,oversampling the on-site data w.s performed to address the issue of data imbalance,and finally,the performance of LSTM-FCNN w.s ***,w. compared the LSTM-FCNN model w.th previous deep-learning *** results demonstrated remarkable location capabilities w.th a mean absolute error(MAE)of only 7.16 *** model can realize sw.ft training and high accuracy,thereby significantly improving risk w.rning of rockbursts.

Unmanned helicopters equipped w.th adaptive landing gear w.ll dramatically extend their application especially in dealing w.th challenging *** study presents a novel cable-driven legged landing gear(CLG)w.th differential transmission for unmanned helicopters in complex landing *** obtain the preferred configuration of the legged mechanism,a multi-objective optimization framew.rk for the CLG is constructed by concurrently considering terrain adaptability,landing stability and reasonable linkage of internal *** non-dominated sorting genetic algorithmⅡis employed to numerically acquire the optimal scale parameters that guide the mechanical design of the *** unmanned helicopter prototype equipped w.th the devised CLG is developed w.th key performance *** results show.that the devised CLG can provide energy-efficient support over uneven terrains(totally driven torque demand less than 0.1 N m)in quasi-static landing tests,and favorable terrain adaptability(posture fluctuation of the fuselage less than±1°)in unknow. slope landing *** exhibited merits give the proposed CLG the potential to enhance the landing performance of future aircraft in extreme environments.

Bacteria-responsive programmed self-activating antibacterial hydrogel to remodel regeneration microenvironment for infected w.und healing

There is still an urgent need to develop hydrogels w.th intelligent antibacterial ability to achieve on-demand treatment of infected w.unds and accelerate w.und healing by improving the regeneration microenvironment. w. proposed a strategy of hydrogel w.und dressing w.th bacteria-responsive self-activating antibacterial property and multiple nanozyme activities to remodel the regeneration microenvironment in order to significantly promote infected w.und healing. Specifically, p H-responsive H2O2self-supplying composite nanozyme（MSCO） and p H/enzyme-sensitive bacteria-responsive triblock micelles encapsulated w.th lactate oxidase（PPEL） w.re prepared and encapsulated in hydrogels composed of L-arginine-modified chitosan（CA） and phenylboronic acid-modified oxidized dextran（ODP） to form a cascade bacteria-responsive self-activating antibacterial composite hydrogel platform. The hydrogels respond to multifactorial changes of the bacterial metabolic microenvironment to achieve on-demand antibacterial and biofilm eradication through transformation of bacterial metabolites, and chemodynamic therapy enhanced by nanozyme activity in conjunction w.th self-driven nitric oxide（NO） release. The composite hydrogel show.d 'self-diagnostic' treatment for changes in the w.und *** self-activating antibacterial therapy in the infection stage to self-adaptive oxidative stress relief and angiogenesis in the post-infection stage, it promotes w.und closure, accelerates w.und collagen deposition and angiogenesis, and completely improves the microenvironment of infected w.und regeneration, w.ich provides a new.method for the design of intelligent w.und dressings.

Anode-free Li-metal batteries are of significant interest to energy storage industries due to their intrinsically high ***,the accumulative Li dendrites and dead Li continuously consume active Li during *** results in a short lifetime and low.Coulombic efficiency of anode-free Li-metal *** effective electrolyte additives can improve the Li deposition homogeneity and solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)stability for anode-free Li-metal ***,w. reveal that introducing dual additives,composed of LiAsF6 and fluoroethylene carbonate,into a low.cost commercial carbonate electrolyte w.ll boost the cycle life and average Coulombic efficiency of NMC‖Cu anode-free Li-metal *** NMC‖Cu anode-free Li-metal batteries w.th the dual additives exhibit a capacity retention of about 75%after 50 cycles,much higher than those w.th bare electrolytes(35%).The average Coulombic efficiency of the NMC‖Cu anode-free Li-metal batteries w.th additives can maintain 98.3%over 100 *** contrast,the average Coulombic efficiency w.thout additives rapidly decline to 97%after only 50 *** situ Raman measurements reveal that the prepared dual additives facilitate denser and smoother Li morphology during Li *** dual additives significantly suppress the Li dendrite grow.h,enabling stable SEI formation on anode and cathode *** results provide a broad view.of developing low.cost and high-effective functional electrolytes for high-energy and long-life anode-free Li-metal batteries.

Vitamin A deficiency suppresses CEACAM1 to impair colonic epithelial barrier function via dow.regulating microbial-derived short-chain fatty acids

Vitamin A (VA) plays an essential role in modulating both the gut microbiota and gut barrier ***-chain fatty acids (SCFAs),as metabolites of the gut microbiota,protect the physiological intestinal barrier;how.ver,they are compromised w.en VA is ***,there is an urgent need to understand how.and w.ich SCFAs modulate colonic epithelial barrier integrity in VA deficiency (VAD).Herein,compared w.th normal VA rats (VAN),at the beginning of pregnancy,w. confirmed that the colonic desmosome junction w.s impaired in the VAD group,and the amounts of acetate,propionate,and butyrate declined because of the decreased abundance of SCFA-producing bacteria (Romboutsia ,Collinsella ,and Allobaculum ).The differentially expressed genes correlated w.th the gut barrier and the histone deacetylase complex betw.en the VAD and VAN groups w.re enriched by RNA *** the VAD group,the expression levels of colonic CEA cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1) w.re dow.-regulated,and the levels of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and HDAC3 w.re ***,the above changes in the VAD groups w.re rescued by VA supplementation in the early postnatal *** study indicated that in Caco-2 cells,butyrate treatment significantly repressed the enrichment of HDAC3 on the promoter of the CEACAM1 gene to induce its *** findings support that butyrate intervention can alleviate the impairment of colonic barrier function caused by VAD,and timely postnatal VA intervention may reverse the damage caused by VAD on gut barrier integrity during pregnancy.

Dammarane-type triterpenoids from Gynostemma longipes and their protective activities on hypoxia-induced injury in PC12 cells

Sixteen new.dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins(1-16)featuring diverse structural variations in the side chain at C-17,along w.th tw.nty-one know. analogues(17-37),have been isolated from the rhizomes of Gynostemma longipes ***,a plant renow.ed for its medicinal and edible *** structural elucidation of these compounds w.s accomplished through comprehensive analyses of 1D and 2D NMR and HRMS spectroscopic data,supplemented by comparison w.th previously reported *** assays on the isolates for their protective effects against hypoxia-induced damage in pheochromocytoma cells(PC12 cells)revealed that nine saponins exhibited significant anti-hypoxic *** investigation into the anti-hypoxia mechanisms of the representative saponins demonstrated that compounds 22 and 36 markedly reduced the levels of hypoxia-induced ***,these compounds w.re found to decrease the release of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and malondialdehyde(MDA),w.ile increasing the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),thereby indicating that the saponins could mitigate hypoxia-induced injuries by ameliorating apoptosis and oxidative *** findings offer substantial evidence for the future utilization and development of ***,identifying dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins as its active anti-hypoxic constituents.
