Abundant heterointerfaces in MOF-derived hollow CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) nanosheet array electrocatalysts for overall water splitting

Rational coupling of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER) catalysts is extremely important for practical overall water splitting,but it is still challenging to construct such bifunctional heterostructures.Herein,we present a metal-organic framework(MOF)-etching strategy to design free-standing and hierarchical hollow CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) heteronanosheet arrays for both HER and OER.Resulting from the controllable etching of MOF by MoO_(4)^(2-) and in-situ sulfuration,the obtained CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) possesses abundant heterointerfaces with modulated local charge distribution,which promote water dissociation and rapid electrocatalytic kinetics.Moreover,the two-dimensional hollow array architecture can not only afford rich surface-active sites,but also facilitate the penetration of electrolytes and the release of evolved H_(2)/O_(2) bubbles.Consequently,the engineered CoS_(2)-MoS_(2) heterostructure exhibits small overpotentials of 82 mV for HER and 266 mV for OER at 10 mA cm^(-2).The corresponding alkaline electrolyzer affords a cell voltage of 1.56 V at 10 mA cm^(-2) to boost overall water splitting,along with robust durability over 24 h, even surpassing the benchmark electrode couple composed of IrO_(2) and Pt/C The present work may provide valuable insights for developing MOF-derived heterogeneous electrocatalysts with tailored interface/surface structure for widespread application in catalysis and other energyrelated areas.

Metastatic patterns and surgical methods for lymph nodes No.5 and No.6 in proximal gastric cancer

Objective: The current surgical treatment guidelines for early proximal gastric cancer(PGC) still lack agreement. Lymphadenectomy of lymph nodes No. 5 and No. 6 is the major difference between total and proximal gastrectomy. We elucidated the appropriate surgical procedure for PGC by investigating the pathological characteristics and prognostic significance of lymph nodes No. 5 and No. 6.Methods: In total, 333 PGC patients who underwent total gastrectomy were enrolled in this study. We investigated their clinicopathological characteristics and the metastatic patterns of the lymph nodes. Patients with metastasis in lymph nodes No. 5 and No. 6 were combined into one group and we compared the difference in survival between those with and without metastasis in lymph nodes No. 5, 6(lymph nodes No. 5 and No. 6 in any group of metastasis) for different subgroups.Results: The metastatic rates for lymph nodes No. 5 and No. 6 in PGC were 9.91% and 16.11%, respectively.The metastatic rate for both lymph nodes No. 5, 6 was 20.42%. Multivariate analysis showed that positive metastasis in lymph node No. 4, depth of invasion, and tumor size were independently correlated with the presence of metastasis in lymph nodes No. 5, 6.Conclusions: When lymph node No. 4 is positive(intraoperative pathology) or tumor size ≥5 cm or T4 stage,lymphadenectomy should be performed for lymph nodes No. 5 and No. 6, and total gastrectomy is recommended.

Enhanced interfacial polarization of defective porous carbon confined CoP nanoparticles forming Mott-Schottky heterojunction for efficient electromagnetic wave absorption

Integrating heterogeneous interface through nanostructure design and interfacial modification is essential to realize strengthened interfacial polarization relaxation in electromagnetic wave absorption.However,an in-depth comprehension of the interfacial polarization behavior at hetero-junction/interface is highly desired but remains a great challenge.Herein,a Mott-Schottky heterojunction consisting of honeycomb-like porous N-doped carbon confined CoP nanoparticles(CoP@HNC)is designed to elevate the interfacial polarization strength.Simultaneously,corresponding electron migration and redistribution between the heterointerface of defective carbon and CoP nanoparticles are revealed.The significant difference in the work function on both sides of heterogeneous interface boosts the interfacial polarization in high frequency region.Furthermore,the relevant spectroscopic characterizations demonstrate that electron spontaneously migrates from CoP to N-doped carbon at the heterointerface,thereby contributing to the accumulation of electron on defective carbon side and the distribution of hole on CoP side.Impressively,benefitting from the synergistic effects of three-dimensional porous conductive carbon skeleton,foreign N heteroatoms,special CoP nanoparticles,and the resultant CoP/N-doped carbon Mott-Schottky heterojunction,the CoP@HNC exhibits remarkable electromagnetic wave absorption performances with minimum reflection loss up to−60.8 dB and the maximum effective absorption bandwidth of 4.96 GHz,which is superior to most of recently reported transition metal phosphides microwave absorbing composites.The present work opens a new avenue for designing heterogeneous interface to realize strengthened microwave absorption capability and also reveals the in-depth influence of interface structure on electromagnetic wave absorption.

Lightweight and efficient carbon-based microwave absorbents are significant in addressing the increasing severity of electromagnetic pollution.In this study,hierarchical NiO/Ni nanosheets with a tuneable phase and morphology supported on a carbon fiber substrate(CF@NiO/Ni)were fabricated using a hydrothermal approach and post-annealing treatment.As the annealing temperature increases,more metallic Ni is formed,and an apparent porosity appears on the sheet surface.Benefiting from the advantages of a three-dimensional(3D)conducting network,hierarchical porous structure,reinforced dipole/interface polarization,multiple scattering,and good impedance matching,the CF@NiO/Ni-500 composite exhibits an excellent microwave absorption performance even at a filling rate of only 3wt%.Specifically,its minimal reflection loss is-43.92 dB,and the qualified bandwidth is up to 5.64 GHz.In addition,the low radar cross-section area of the CF@NiO/Ni composite coating confirms its strong ability to suppress electromagnetic wave scattering.We expect that this work could contribute to a deeper understanding of the phase and morphology evolution in enhancing microwave absorption.

Self-Delivery Nanoparticles of Amphiphilic Acyclic Enediynes for Efficient Tumor Cell Suppression

Summary of main observation and conclusion Four acyclic maleimide-based enediyne compounds with different hydrophilicity were synthesized through Sonogashira reaction to reveal a self-delivery antitumor drug platform. As proved by ESR analysis, the enediyne compounds undergo Bergman- like cyclizati on and generate diradical in termediates at physiological temperature, which are able to induce DNA-cleavage through the abstraction of H atoms from the sugar-phosphate backbones. When the critical aggregation concentration is reached in water, the amphiphilic enediyne compounds self-assemble into nanoparticles and possess the self-delivery ability to be facilely admitted by tumor cells, resulting in greatly improved cytotoxicity (IC50 down to 10 μmol·L^-1) and much higher tumor cell apoptosis rate (up to 86.6%) in comparison with either the hydrophilic or the lipophilic enediyne compound. The enhanced endocytosis of the amphiphilic en ediyne compo unds was further confirmed through con focal laser scan ning microscopy analysis. The unveiled relationship between the hydrophilicity of enediyne drugs and their therapeutic efficacy will provide a guideline for the design of new self-delivery drugs employed in medicinal applications.

为了解决雷达管制环境下平行航路间距的安全性问题,分析了管制员对飞机侧向偏航的干预过程,在分析研究传统碰撞风险模型的基础上,综合考虑通信导航监视(communication,navigation and surveillance,CNS)性能及管制员干预,分别建立了包含和不包含人的认知可靠性的平行航路侧向碰撞风险评估模型.通过算例分析了管制干预、通信、导航、监视性能对最小航路间距的影响.结果表明:与通信和监视性能相比,CNS性能中的导航性能对碰撞风险的影响相对较大;为缩减航路间距,建议采用RNAV 2导航规范;提高人的认知可靠性可有效减小平行航路的间距.

Soluble Mouse B7-H3 Down-Regulates Dendritic Cell Stimulatory Capacity to Allogenic T Cell Proliferation and Production of IL-2 and IFN-γ

B7-H3 is a recently identified member of the B7 gene family. Its ubiquitous expression in both lymphoid and nonlymphoid tissues suggests that it could play an important role in the maintenance of self-tolerance. However, the exact function of B7-H3 is still elusive. The purpose of current study is to demonstrate the possible function of soluble mouse B7-H3 for prevention of DC-mediated T cell activation. For this purpose, we established a soluble mouse B7-H3 fusion protein （mB7h3-hIg） eukaryotic expression vector （pmB7h3-hIg） with a C-terminal human IgG1 Fc. A C57BL/6 （B6）-derived dendritic cell line （DC2.4 cells） was used for the establishment of stable transfectants for generation of soluble mB7h3-hIg. Ectopic mB7h3-hIg expression was confirmed by RT-PCR, Western blot and ELISA analyses. A 49.7 kD protein was detected by Western blot from DC2.4 cells transfected with pmB7h3-hlg. It was found that soluble mB7h3-hIg expression has no effect on cell cycling and apoptosis and the expression of CD80 and CD86 of the DC2.4 cells. However, ectopic soluble mB7h3-hIg expression was found to significantly affect the allo-stimulatory capability for DC2.4 cells. DC2.4 cells expressing soluble mB7h3-hIg showed a significant reduced allo-stimulatory capability as compared with the controls determined by MLC. Further studies revealed that soluble mB7h3-hIg could also inhibit IL-2 and IFN-γ, production of allogenic T cells. These results suggested a great potential of soluble B7-H3 for treatment of graft rejection and autoimmume disease. Cellular ＆ Molecular Immunology. 2006;3（3）：235-240.
