The synthesis of carbon supporter/nanoscale high-entropy alloys(HEAs)electromagnetic response composites by carbothermal shock method has been identified as an advanced strategy for the collaborative competition engineering of conductive/dielectric *** migration modes within HEAs as manipulated by the electronegativity,valence electron configurations and molar proportions of constituent elements determine the steady state and efficiency of equivalent ***,enlightened by skin-like effect,a reformative carbothermal shock method using carbonized cellulose paper(CCP)as carbon supporter is used to preserve the oxygencontaining functional groups(O·)of carbonized cellulose fibers(CCF).Nucleation of HEAs and construction of emblematic shell-core CCF/HEAs heterointerfaces are inextricably linked to carbon metabolism induced by O·.Meanwhile,the electron migration mode of switchable electronrich sites promotes the orientation polarization of anisotropic equivalent *** virtue of the reinforcement strategy,CCP/HEAs composite prepared by 35%molar ratio of Mn element(CCP/HEAs-Mn_(2.15))achieves efficient electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption of−51.35 dB at an ultra-thin thickness of 1.03 *** mechanisms of the resulting dielectric properties of HEAs-based EMW absorbing materials are elucidated by combining theoretical calculations with experimental characterizations,which provide theoretical bases and feasible strategies for the simulation and practical application of electromagnetic functional devices(e.g.,ultra-wideband bandpass filter).

Supercapacitors, with ultrahigh power density, superior rate capability, long-term cyclability, and exceptional safety, are regarded as one highly competitive candidate of electrochemical energy storage devices,filling the gap between batteries and conventional capacitors. Despite of tremendous effort, elaborated screening of high-performance electrode materials, e.g., graphene, is still intensively required. In this review, we describe the most recent progress in the research and development of graphene-based materials for high-performance and new-concept supercapacitors for the targeted applications in next-generation and smart electronics. First, the design and fabrication of high-performance supercapacitors, including electrical double layer capacitors, pseudocapacitors and hybrid supercapacitors, were summarized in term of the charge storage mechanism. Second, new-concept supercapacitors with multiple functionalities of high-voltage, fiber-shape, microscale and shape-diversity in order to fulfill the requirements of future electronics are reviewed. Accordingly, special emphasis is given to the structure-dependent-performance effects of pores, hybridization, dimensionalities of graphene-based materials on performance of supercapacitors, and tremendous potential of graphene-based planar micro-supercapacitors for the direct seamlessly integration with versatile micro-electronics. Finally, perspectives and challenges of graphene-based supercapacitors are briefly discussed.

Zn-based sorbent （Z20SC） prepared through semi-coke support in 20 wt% zinc nitrate solution by high-pressure impregnation presents an excellent desulfurization capacity in hot coal gas,in which H2 S can not be nearly detected in the outlet gas before 20 h breakthrough *** effects of the main operational conditions and the particle size of Z20SC sorbent on its desulfurization performances sorbent were investigated in a fixed-bed reactor and the desulfurization kinetics of Z20SC sorbent removing H2 S from hot coal gas was calculated based on experimental *** showed that the conversion of Z20SC sorbent desulfurization reaction increased with the decrease of the particle size of the sorbent and the increases of gas volumetric flow rate,reaction temperature and H 2 S content in inlet gas.Z20SC sorbent obtained from hydrothermal synthesis by high-pressure impregnation possessed much larger surface area and pore volume than semi-coke support,and they were significantly reduced after the desulfurization *** equivalent grain model was reasonably used to analyze experimental data,in which k s=4.382×10-3 exp（-8.270×103/RgT） and Dep=1.262×10-4exp（1.522×104/RgT）.It suggests that the desulfurization reaction of the Z20SC sorbent is mainly controlled by the chemical reaction in the initial stage and later by the diffusion through the reacted sorbent layer.

Microwave absorbing materials(MAMs)are playing an increasingly essential role in the development of wireless communications,high-power electronic devices,and advanced target detection *** with a broad-bandwidth response are particularly important in the area of communication security,radiation prevention,electronic reliability,and military *** considerable progress has been made in the design and preparation of MAMs with a broad-bandwidth response,a number of challenges still remain,and the structure–function relationship of MAMs is still far from being completely ***,the advances in the design and research of MAMs with a broad-bandwidth response are *** main strategies for expanding the effective absorption bandwidth of MAMs are comprehensively summarized considering three perspectives:the chemical combination strategy,morphological control strategy,and macrostructure control *** important results as well as design principles and absorption mechanisms are highlighted.A coherent explanation detailing the influence of the chemical composition and structure of various materials on the microwave absorption properties of MAMs is *** main challenges,new opportunities,and future perspectives in this promising field are also presented.

Biodegradable polycaprolactone/β-tricalcium phosphate(PT)composites are desirable candidates for bone tissue engineering applications.A higherβ-tricalcium phosphate(TCP)ceramic content improves the mechanical,hydrophilic and osteogenic properties of PT scaffolds in *** a dynamic degradation reactor,we estab-lished a steady in vitro degradation model to investigate the changes in the physio-chemical and biological properties of PT scaffolds during ***46 and PT37 scaffolds underwent degradation more rapidly than PT scaffolds with lower TCP *** vivo studies revealed the rapid degradation of PT(PT46 and PT37)scaffolds disturbed macrophage responses and lead to bone healing *** co-culture assays and a subcutaneous implantation model indicated that the scaffold degradation process dynamically affected macro-phage responses,especially ***-Seq analysis indicated phagocytosis of the degradation products of PT37 scaffolds induces oxidative stress and inflammatory M1 polarization in ***,this study reveals that the dynamic patterns of biodegradation of degradable bone scaffolds highly orchestrate immune responses and thus determine the success of bone ***,through evaluation of the biological effects of biomaterials during the entire process of degradation on immune responses and bone regeneration are necessary in order to develop more promising biomaterials for bone regeneration.

Engineered nanomaterials have attracted significantly attention as one of the most promising antimicrobial agents for against multidrug resistant *** toxicological responses of nano mate rials are closely related to their physicochemical properties,and establishment of a structure-activity relationship for nanomaterials at the nano-bio interface is of great significance for deep understanding antibacterial toxicity mechanisms of nanomaterials and designing safer antibacterial *** this study,the antibacterial behaviors of well-defined crystallographic facets of a series of Au nanocrystals,including{100}-facet cubes,{110}-facet rhombic dodecahedra,{111}-facet octahedra,{221}-facet trisoctahedra and{720}-facet concave cubes,was investigated,using the model bacteria Staphylococcus *** find that Au nanocrystals display substantial facet-dependent antibacterial *** low-index facets of cubes,octahedra,and rhombic dodecahedra show considerable antibacterial activity,whereas the high-index facets of trisoctahedra and concave cubes remained inert under biological *** result is in stark contrast to the previous paradigm that the high-index facets were considered to have higher bioactivity as compared with low-index *** antibacterial mechanism studies have shown that the facet-dependent antibacterial behaviors of Au nanocrystals are mainly caused by differential bacterial membrane damage as well as inhibition of cellular enzymatic activity and energy *** faceted Au nanocrystals are unique in that they do not induce generation of reactive oxygen species,as validated for most antibiotics and antimicrobial *** findings may provide a deeper understanding of facet-dependent toxicological responses and suggest the complexities of the na no material-cell interactions,shedding some light on the development of high performance Au nanomaterials-based antibacterial therapeutics.
