The existence and risk of emerging organic contaminants(EOCs)have been under consideration and paid much effort to degrade these *** system is one of the most widely used technologies to solve this *** original Fenton system relies on the hydroxyl radicals produced by Fe(Ⅱ)/H_(2)O_(2) to oxidize the organic ***,the application of the Fenton system is limited by its low iron cycling efficiency and the high risks of hydrogen peroxide transportation and *** introduction of external energy(including light and electricity etc.)can effectively promote the Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ)cycle and the reduction of oxygen to produce hydrogen peroxide in *** review introduces three in-situ Fenton systems,which are electro-Fenton,Photo-Fenton,and chemical *** mechanism,influencing factors,and catalysts of these three in-situ Fenton systems in degrading EOCs are discussed *** review strengthens the understanding of Fenton and in-situ Fenton systems in degradation,offering further insight into the real application of the in-situ Fenton system in the removal of EOCs.

In this editorial we comment on the review by Wang et al published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology in *** extracellular vesicles(exosomes)play important roles in the tumor *** this review,the authors introduce the following points:(1)The composition and function of exosomal microRNAs(miRNAs)of different cell origins in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC);(2)the crosstalk between exosomal miRNAs from stromal cells and immune cells in the tumor microenvironment and the progression of HCC;and(3)the potential applicability of exosomal miRNAs derived from mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of *** addition,the potential applicability of exosomal miRNAs derived from mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of HCC was *** this review,the authors give us an overview of the exosomal RNA and summarize the function of exosomal RNA in HCC,which provides a deeper understanding of exosomal miRNAs to the readers.

High-entropy materials(HEMs),which are newly manufactured compounds that contain five or more metal cations,can be a platform with desired properties,including improved electrocatalytic performance owing to the inherent ***,a strain engineering methodology is proposed to design transition-metal-based HEM by Li manipulation(LiTM)with tunable lattice strain,thus tailoring the electronic structure and boosting electrocatalytic *** confirmed by the experiments and calculation results,tensile strain in the LiTM after Li manipulation can optimize the d-band center and increase the electrical ***,the asprepared LiTM-25 demonstrates optimized oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction activity in alkaline saline water,requiring ultralow overpotentials of 265 and 42 mV at 10 mA cm−2,*** strikingly,LiTM-25 retains 94.6%activity after 80 h of a durability test when assembled as an anion-exchange membrane water ***,in order to show the general efficacy of strain engineering,we incorporate Li into electrocatalysts with higher entropies as well.

While the past years have witnessed great achievement in pseudocapacitors,the inauguration of electrode materials of high-performance still remains a formidable ***,the capacity and rate capability of the electrode depends largely on its electrical conductivity,which ensures fast charge transfer kinetics in both the grain bulk and grain ***,nickel hydroxides with oxygen vacancies are facilely fabricated via a hydrothermal *** active materials exhibit a high specific capacitance of 3250 F·g^(−1)and a high areal of capacitance of 14.98 F·cm^(−2)at 4.6 mA·cm^(−2).The asymmetric supercapacitor device based on our material delivers a high energy density of~71.6 Wh·kg^(−1)and a power density of~17,300 W·kg^(−1)and could retain~95%of their initial capacitance even after 30,000 *** addition,the defect-rich hydroxides demonstrate higher electrical conductivity as well as dielectric constant,which is responsible for the superior pseudocapacitive *** new scientific strategy in terms of taking the advantages of oxygen vacancies might open up new opportunities for qualified pseudocapacitive materials of overall high performances not only for nickel hydroxides but also for other metal hydroxides/oxides.

Advancing high-voltage stability of layered sodium-ion oxides represents a pivotal avenue for their progress in energy storage *** this,a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underpinning their structural deterioration at elevated voltages remains insufficiently *** this study,we unveil a layer delamination phenomenon of Na_(0.67)ni_(0.3)Mn_(0.7)O_(2)(NNM)within the 2.0-4.3 V voltage,attributed to considerable volumetric fluctuations along the c-axis and lattice oxygen reactions induced by the simultaneous ni^(3+)/ni^(4+)and anion redox *** introducing Mg doping to diminished ni-O antibonding,the anion oxidation-reduction reactions are effectively mitigated,and the structural integrity of the P2 phase remains firmly intact,safeguarding active sites and precluding the formation of novel *** Na_(0.67)Mg_(0.05)ni_(0.25)Mn_(0.7)O_(2)(NMNM-5)exhibits a specific capacity of100.7 mA h g^(-1),signifying an 83%improvement compared to the NNM material within the voltage of2.0-4.3 *** investigation underscores the intricate interplay between high-voltage stability and structural degradation mechanisms in layered sodium-ion oxides.

The search for magnetic topological materials has been at the forefront of condensed matter research for their potential to host exotic states such as axion insulators, magnetic Weyl semimetals, Chern insulators,etc. To date, the MnBi2nTe3n+1family is the only group of materials showcasing van der Waals-layered structures, intrinsic magnetism and non-trivial band topology without trivial bands at the Fermi level. The interplay between magnetism and band topology in this family has led to the proposal of various topological phenomena, including the quantum anomalous Hall effect, quantum spin Hall effect and quantum magnetoelectric effect. Among these, the quantum anomalous Hall effect has been experimentally observed at record-high temperatures, highlighting the unprecedented potential of this family of materials in fundamental science and technological innovation. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of the research progress in this intrinsic magnetic topological insulator family, with a focus on single-crystal growth, characterization of chemical disorder, manipulation of magnetism through chemical substitution and external pressure, and important questions that remain to be conclusively answered.
