The EAST superconducting tokamak, an advanced steady-state plasma physics experimental device, has been built at the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. All the toroidal field magnets and poloidal field magnets, made of NbTi/Cu cable-in-conduit conductor, are cooled with forced flow supercritical helium at 3.8 K. The cryogenic system of EAST consists of a 2 kW/4 K helium refrigerator and a helium distribution system for the cooling of coils, structures, thermal shields, bus-lines, etc. The high-speed turbo-expander is an important refrigerating component of the EAST cryogenic system. In the turbo-expander, the axial supporting technology is critical for the smooth operation of the rotor bearing system. In this paper, hydrostatic thrust bearings are designed based on the axial load of the turbo-expander. Thereafter, a computational fluid dynamics-based numerical model of the aerostatic thrust bearing is set up to evaluate the bearing performance. Tilting effect on the pressure distribution and bearing load is analyzed for the thrust beating. Bearing load and stiffness are compared with different static supply pressures. The net force from the thrust bearings can be calculated for different combinations of bearing clearance and supply pressure.

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)have received a sustained world-wide attention owing to their promising applications based on clean ***,their widespread applications are still restricted by the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)*** the past decades,significant efforts have been devoted to developing efficient ORR catalysts,which have been summarized in numerous previous ***,most of them mainly focused on ORR activity on the rotating disk electrode(RDE)level,which cannot truly represent the performance in real *** and showcasing efficient catalysts evaluated at the membrane electrode assembly(MEA)level is of vital *** this review,we first briefly showcased the recent development of ORR catalysts and then put more emphasis on the discussion of designing efficient catalysts at MEA and full-cell level,aiming to help stimulate more attention on their practical applications.

The smelting-separation process for metallized pellets of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite concentrates was *** influences of smelting temperature,smelting time,and the basicity of the metallized pellet on vanadium and iron recovery were *** characteristics of titanium slag were analyzed using X-ray diffraction,energy dispersive spectroscopy,and mineralographic microscopic *** results demonstrate that appropriate increases in smelting temperature and smelting time can improve the vanadium and iron recovery from metallized pellets and are beneficial for the slag-iron *** increasing the basicity of the metallized pellet can considerably improve the vanadium and iron recovery,the TiO;grade of titanium slag was *** the optimal conditions,90.17% of vanadium and 92.98% of iron in the metallized pellet were recovered,and the TiO;grade of titanium slag was 55.01%.It was found that anosovite,augite,spinel,glassiness,and metallic iron were the main mineral phases of the titanium slag.

Objective:To observe vascular smooth muscle cell morphological changes induced by ultrasound combined with microbubbles by Atomic Force Acoustic Microscopy(AFAM).Methods:A7r5 rat aortic smooth muscle cells were divided into groups:control group(without ultrasonic irradiation,no micro bubbles)and US+MB group(45 kHz、0.4 W/cm^2 ultrasound irradiate for 20 seconds with a SonoVuc^(TM)concentration of[(56-140)×10~5/mL].Cell micromorphological changes(such as topographic and acoustic prognosis)were detected,before and after ultrasound destruction by ***:In cell morphology,smooth muscle cells were spread o and connected to each another by *** the center of the cell,the nuclear area had a rough surface and was significantly elevated from its *** cytoskeletal structure of the reticular nucleus and cytoplasm in the morphology of A7r5 cells(20μm×20μm)were clear before microbubble *** acoustic exciting,the cell structure details of the acoustic image were improved with better resolution,showing the elasticity of different *** the acoustic image,the nucleus was harder,more flexible and uneven compared with the *** strong various-sized echo particles were stuck on the rough nuclear membrane's substrate *** nuclear membrane did not have a continuous smooth surface;there were many obstructions(pores).After ultrasound-intervention was combined with microbubbles,the dark areas of the A7r5 cell images was increased in various sizes and *** dark areas showed the depth or low altitudes of the lower regions,suggesting regional ***,the location and scope of the acoustic image dark areas were not similar to those found in the topographic ***,it was likely that the dark areas,both from the topographic and acoustic images,were *** addition,some cell nuclei become round in different degrees after ***:Atomic force microscopy and acoustic excitation method can

Objective: The incidence of after-cataracts [also known as posterior capsular opacification (PCO)] is between 30% and 50% three years following cataract surgery. Suppressing the proliferation of lens epithelial cells (LECs) is a primary goal in preventing PCO. Here, we investigated the proteomic regulation of the inhibitory effects of curcumin (Cur) on the proliferation of human lens epithelial B3 (HLE-B3) cells. Methods: Recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rhbFGF) was used to induce proliferation of HLE-B3 cells, which were incubated with 20 mg/L Cur in a CO2 incubator for 24 h. Results: We found that the absorbance (A) value of rhbFGF group was significantly higher than the A value of the control group. Furthermore, the A value of the Cur group was significantly lower com- pared to the rhbFGF group, with an inhibition of 53.7%. Five different protein spots were obtained from proliferative HLE-B3 cells induced by rhbFGF. Eight different protein spots were obtained in HLE-B3 cells incubated with Cur. There were the common variational protein spots at mass/charge (m/z) ratios of 8 093 and 13 767 between rhbFGF group and control group as well as between the Cur group and rhbFGF group. Conclusions: These results show that Cur effectively inhibited HLE-B3 cell proliferation induced by rhbFGF. The protein spots at m/z of 8 093 and 13 767 may be the targets of Cur-induced inhibition of HLE-B3 cell proliferation. Cur may be a reliable and effective drug for pre- vention and treatment of polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
