Mn-based zinc ion battery has the advantages of low cost and high performance,which makes it the promising energy storage system.However,the poor conductivity and the agglomeration in the synthesis process of manganese-based materials restrict the performance of batteries.Herein,the Se-doped MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))composite material derived from Mn-based metal-organic framework is reported.Electrochemical tests show that Se-doped could generate S defects and enhance the electrochemical activity of MnS.At the same time,the introduction of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) substrate is conducive to exposing more sulfur defects and improving the utilization rate of defects.In the mechanism study,it is found that Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) is transformed into S/Se co-doped Mn3O_(4) at the first charge,which innovatively elucidated the behavior of S/Se during activation.In the electrochemical performance test,the specific capacity can reach 74.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 5.0 A·g^(-1).In addition,the Zn-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) membrane electrode is prepared by vacuum filtration as the zinc-poor anode,which is assembled into the rocking chair full battery to avoid dendrite growth and exhibit excellent rate performance.The addition of Zn2+weakens the electrostatic repulsion between the interlayers of MXene,and the formation of the folded morphology aids the penetration of the electrolyte.At 1.0 A·g^(-1),the capacity can reach 50.6 mAh·g^(-1).This work is helpful to promote the research and development of the reaction mechanism of manganese based rocking chair batteries.

Efficacy of Daoyin combined with lower limb robot as a comprehensive rehabilitation intervention for stroke patients: a randomized controlled trial

OBJECTIVE: To assess the effectiveness of a comprehensive rehabilitation approach combining Traditional Chinese Medicine Daoyin with lower limb robotics during the recovery phase of stroke patients.METHODS: Stroke patients meeting the specified criteria were randomly assigned to one of four groups using a random number table: Control group, Daoyin group, lower limb robot group(LLR group), and Daoyin and lower limb robot group(DLLR group). Each group received distinct treatments based on conventional rehabilitation training.The treatment duration spanned two weeks with two days of rest per week. Pre-and post-intervention assessments included various scales: Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),Berg balance scale(BBS), Barthel index(BI), Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14), Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA), and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD).RESULTS: Statistically significant differences were observed in the lower limb function measured by FAM between the Control group(15 ± 5) and the DLLR group(18 ± 5)(P = 0.049). In the Barthel index, a statistically significant difference was noted between the Control group(54 ± 18) and the DLLR group(64 ± 11)(P = 0.041).Additionally, significant differences were found in the Berg balance scale between the Control group(21 ± 10)and the DLLR group(27 ± 8)(P = 0.024), as well as between the Control group(21 ± 10) and the LLR group(26 ± 10)(P = 0.048).CONCLUSION: The findings of this study suggest that the combined use of Daoyin and robotics not only enhances motor function in stroke patients but also has a positive impact on fatigue, sleep quality, and mood. This approach may offer a more effective rehabilitation strategy for stroke patients.

Will partial splenic embolization followed by splenectomy increase intraoperative bleeding?

BACKGROUND Partial splenic embolization(PSE)has been suggested as an alternative to splenectomy in the treatment of hypersplenism.However,some patients may experience recurrence of hypersplenism after PSE and require splenectomy.Currently,there is a lack of evidence-based medical support regarding whether preoperative PSE followed by splenectomy can reduce the incidence of complications.AIM To investigate the safety and therapeutic efficacy of preoperative PSE followed by splenectomy in patients with cirrhosis and hypersplenism.METHODS Between January 2010 and December 2021,321 consecutive patients with cirrhosis and hypersplenism underwent splenectomy at our department.Based on whether PSE was performed prior to splenectomy,the patients were divided into two groups:PSE group(n=40)and non-PSE group(n=281).Patient characteristics,postoperative complications,and follow-up data were compared between groups.Propensity score matching(PSM)was conducted,and univariable and multivariable analyses were used to establish a nomogram predictive model for intraoperative bleeding(IB).The receiver operating characteristic curve,Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test,and decision curve analysis(DCA)were employed to evaluate the differentiation,calibration,and clinical performance of the model.RESULTS After PSM,the non-PSE group showed significant reductions in hospital stay,intraoperative blood loss,and operation time(all P=0.00).Multivariate analysis revealed that spleen length,portal vein diameter,splenic vein diameter,and history of PSE were independent predictive factors for IB.A nomogram predictive model of IB was constructed,and DCA demonstrated the clinical utility of this model.Both groups exhibited similar results in terms of overall survival during the follow-up period.CONCLUSION Preoperative PSE followed by splenectomy may increase the incidence of IB and a nomogram-based prediction model can predict the occurrence of IB.

The analysis of optical spectra—emission or absorption—has been arguably the most powerful approach for discovering and understanding matter.The invention and development of many kinds of spectrometers have equipped us with versatile yet ultra-sensitive diagnostic tools for trace gas detection,isotope analysis,and resolving hyperfine structures of atoms and molecules.With proliferating data and information,urgent and demanding requirements have been placed today on spectrum analysis with ever-increasing spectral bandwidth and frequency resolution.These requirements are especially stringent for broadband laser sources that carry massive information and for dispersive devices used in information processing systems.In addition,spectrum analyzers are expected to probe the device’s phase response where extra information is encoded.Here we demonstrate a novel vector spectrum analyzer(VSA)that is capable of characterizing passive devices and active laser sources in one setup.Such a dual-mode VSA can measure loss,phase response,and dispersion properties of passive devices.It also can coherently map a broadband laser spectrum into the RF domain.The VSA features a bandwidth of 55.1 THz(1260–1640 nm),a frequency resolution of 471 kHz,and a dynamic range of 56 dB.Meanwhile,our fiber-based VSA is compact and robust.It requires neither high-speed modulators and photodetectors nor any active feedback control.Finally,we employ our VSA for applications including characterization of integrated dispersive waveguides,mapping frequency comb spectra,and coherent light detection and ranging(LiDAR).Our VSA presents an innovative approach for device analysis and laser spectroscopy,and can play a critical role in future photonic systems and applications for sensing,communication,imaging,and quantum information processing.

Dendrites growth,chemical corrosion,and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)on zinc anodes are the main barriers for the development of aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs).Constructing interfacial protec-tive layer is an effective way to alleviate the side reactions on the anodes.Herein,Cu/Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2)MXene(CMX)with high zincophilic and hydrophobic property is prepared by the lewis molten salts etching method,and the CMX interface protection layer is constructed by a simple spin coating.The CMX coat-ing layer can provide abundant nucleation sites and uniformize the charge distribution through the zin-cophilic Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2)MXene matrix,leading to homogenous Zn deposition.In addition,the hydrophobic coat-ing contained anti-corrosive Cu nanoparticles can prevent the Zn anode from the electrolyte,beneficial for suppressing the chemical corrosion and HER.Therefore,the stable and reversible Zn plating/stripping is achieved for the Zn anode coated by the CMX,which exhibits the lifespan of over 1400 h at 0.5 mA cm^(−2),and even can steadily run for 700 h with 65 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2).Furthermore,CMX@Zn shows a high coulombic efficiency of over 100%for 3800 cycles,which indicates that the CMX@Zn electrode has excellent stability and reversibility of Zn stripping/plating.The full batteries assembled with ZnCoMnO/C(ZCM)cathodes also exhibits higher capacity(450.6 mAh g^(−1)at 0.1 A g^(−1))and cycle stability(capacity retention of 70%after 1500 cycles).This work enhanced the lifespan of AZIBs and broaden the research of multifunctional coating layer to other secondary batteries based on metal anodes.

BACKGROUND The combination of programmed cell death protein-1(PD-1)inhibitor and che-motherapy is approved as a standard first-or second-line treatment in patients with advanced oesophageal or gastric cancer.However,it is unclear whether this combination is superior to chemotherapy alone.AIM To assess the comparative effectiveness and tolerability of combining PD-1 inhibitors with chemotherapy vs chemotherapy alone in patients with advanced gastric cancer,gastroesophageal junction(GEJ)cancer,or oesophageal carcinoma.METHODS We searched the PubMed and Embase databases for studies that compared the efficacy and tolerance of PD-1 inhibitors in combination with chemotherapy vs chemotherapy alone in patients with advanced oesophageal or gastric cancer.We employed either random or fixed models to analyze the outcomes of each clinical trial,en-compassing data on overall survival(OS),progression-free survival(PFS),objective response rate,and adverse events(AEs).RESULTS Nine phase 3 clinical trials(7016 advanced oesophageal and gastric cancer patients)met the inclusion criteria.Our meta-analysis demonstrated that the pooled PD-1 inhibitor+chemotherapy group had a significantly longer OS than the chemotherapy-alone group[hazard ratio(HR)=0.76,95%confidence interval(CI):0.71-0.81];the pooled PFS result was consistent with that of OS(HR=0.67,95%CI:0.61-0.74).The count of patients achieving an objective response in the PD-1 inhibitor+chemotherapy group surpassed that of the chemotherapy-alone group[odds ratio(OR)=1.86,95%CI:1.59-2.18].AE incidence was also higher in the combination-therapy group than in the chemotherapy-alone group,regardless of whether≥grade 3 only(OR=1.30,95%CI:1.07-1.57)or all AE grades(OR=1.88,95%CI:1.39-2.54)were examined.We performed a subgroup analysis based on the programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)combined positive score(CPS)and noted extended OS and PFS durations within the CPS≥1,CPS≥5,and CPS≥10 subgroups of the PD-1 inhibitor+chemotherapy group.CONCLUSION In contrast to chemotherapy alone,the combina

Research on Pulsar Time Steered Atomic Time Algorithm Based on DPLL

In today’s society,there is a wide demand for high-precision and high-stability time service in the fields of electric power,communication,transportation and finance.At present,the time standard in various countries is mainly based on atomic clocks,but the frequency drift of atomic clocks will affect the long-term stability performance.Compared with atomic clocks,millisecond pulsars have better long-term stability and can complement with the excellent short-term stability of atomic clocks.In order to improve the long-term stability of the atomic timescale,and then improve the timing accuracy,this paper proposes an algorithm for steering the atomic clock ensemble(ACE)by ensemble pulsar time(EPT)based on digital phase locked loop(DPLL).First,the ACE and EPT are generated by the ALGOS algorithm,then the ACE is steered by EPT based on DPLL to calibrate the long-term frequency drift of the atomic clock,so that the generated steered atomic time follows both the short-term stability characteristics of ACE and the long-term stability characteristics of EPT,and finally,the steered atomic time is used to calibrate the local cesium clock.The experimental results show that the long-term stability of atomic time after steering is improved by 2 orders of magnitude compared with that before steering,and the daily drift of a local cesium clock after calibration is less than 9.47 ns in 3 yr,3 orders of magnitude higher than that before calibration on accuracy.

A sustainable process to 100%bio-based nylons integrated chemical and biological conversion of lignocellulose

Considerable progress has been made in recent years to the development of sustainable polymers from bio-based feedstocks.In this study,100%bio-based nylons were prepared via an integrated chemical and biological process from lignocellulose.These novel nylons were obtained by the melt polymerization of 3-propyladipic acid derived from lignin and 1,5-pentenediamine/1,4-butanediamine derived from carbohydrate sugar.Central to the concept is a three-step noble metal free catalytic chemical funnelling sequence(Raney Ni mediated reductive catalytic fractionation-reductive funnelling-oxidative funnelling),which allowed for obtaining a single component 3-propyladipic acid from lignin with high efficiency.The structural and thermodynamic properties of the obtained nylons have been systematically investigated,and thus obtained transparent bio-based nylons exhibited higher Mw(>32,000)and excellent thermal stability(Td5%>265℃).Considering their moderate Tg and good melt strength,these transparent bio-based nylons could serve as promising functional additives or temperature-responsive materials.

Association between stress hyperglycemia ratio and in-hospital outcomes:findings from the improving Care for Cardiovascular Disease in China-Acute Coronary Syndrome(CCC-ACS)Project

BACKGROUND Stress hyperglycemia ratio(SHR)could provide accurate information on the acute status of hyperglycemia.The relationship between SHR and acute coronary syndrome(ACS)prognosis remains unclear.This study was conducted to identity the association between SHR and in-hospital outcomes in patients with ACS.METHODS A total of 12,010 patients were eventually enrolled in the study.The relationship between SHR and in-hospital major adverse cardiovascular events(MACEs)was then modeled by restricted cubic spline(RCS)curves,and all patients were divided into three groups according to the results.The multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to determine the associations between the SHR and in-hospital outcomes,described as odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Subgroup analyses were also performed on different diseases.RESULTS The median age of this cohort was 63(54,71)years old,and 8942(74.5%)were male.Group 1 was defined as SHR1(n=5763).Compared with Group 2,Group 1(OR=1.891,95%CI:1.028-3.479,P<0.001)and Group 3(OR=1.868,95%CI:1.434-2.434,P<0.001)had higher risks of suffering from in-hospital MACEs.SHR was associated with higher risks of in-hospital MACEs in the subgroups of DM[OR=2.282,95%CI:1.477-3.524).CONCLUSIONS Both low and high SHR levels were independently associated with in-hospital MACEs.Young males with DM,hypertension,and decreased renal function had much higher risks of suffering from SHR-correlated MACEs.
