A bi-layer coordinated power regulation strategy considering system dynamics and economics for isolated hybrid AC/DC multi-energy microgrid

The isolated hybrid AC/DC multi-energy microgrid(IH-MEMG)offers an effective solution for meeting the electrical,heating,and cooling energy demands of remote and off-grid *** an IH-MEMG,system transient dynamics(i.e.,frequency or voltage of the electricity network)and economics are critical aspects that pose the greatest concern to ***,these aspects are generally investigated separately owing to their different time *** integrate these aspects from the scope of real-time control,this study proposes a bi-layer coordinated power regulation strategy considering system dynamics and economics for the ***,coupling relationships among multiple sub-networks are analyzed,and a frequency-voltage coupling model between the AC and DC sides is ***,a bi-layer coordinated power regulation strategy is developed for the IH-MEMG with output characteristics of different components involved:the primary layer includes a multi-entity power support mechanism used to improve the dynamics of the electricity network,wherein a cooperation principle of the combined cooling,heating,and power(CCHP)unit and energy storage unit(ESU)is designed in detailed;meanwhile,the secondary layer includes a real-time economics-oriented optimization framework used to adjust the power references of multiple units generated from the primary layer for cost efficiency improvement(notably,the primary layer can work independently).Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through comprehensive simulations under varying operation scenarios.

Understanding the iodine electrochemical behaviors in aqueous zinc batteries

Iodine is widely used in aqueous zinc batteries（ZBs） due to its abundant resources,low cost,and active redox *** addition to the active material in zinc-iodine batteries,iodine also plays an important role in other ZBs,such as regulating the electrochemical behavior of zinc ions,promoting the reaction kinetic and reversibility of other redox pairs,catalytic behaviors related to iodine reactions,coupling with other halogen ions,shuttle behaviors of polyiodides,***,there is currently a lack of comprehensive discussion on these ***,this review provides a comprehensive overview of the electrochemical behaviors of iodide in the aqueous *** effect of iodine ions on the Zn2+desolvation behaviors and the interfacial behaviors of Zn anode was *** redox pairs boosting other redox pairs,such as MnO2/Mn2+redox pair and vanadium redox pair to obtain high reversibility and capacity was also ***,the catalytic behaviors related to iodine reactions in aqueous ZBs,synergistic reaction with other halogen ions and suppression of shuttle behaviors for high performance zinc-iodine batteries were systematically ***,future prospects for designing effective iodine electrochemical behaviors with practicability are proposed,which will provide scientific guidance for the practical application of iodine-related aqueous ZBs.

Investigation into enhanced performance of toluene and Hg0 stimulative abatement over Cr-Mn oxides co-modified columnar activated coke

In this study,a string of Cr-Mnco-modified activated coke catalysts(XCryMn1-y/AC)were prepared to investigate toluene and Hg0 removal *** characterizations including XRD,TEM,SEM,in situ DRIFTS,BET,XPS and H_(2)-TPR showed that 4%Cr0.5Mn0.5/AC had excellent physicochemical properties and exhibited the best toluene and Hg0 removal efficiency at 200◦*** varying the experimental gas components and conditions,it was found that too large weight hourly space velocity would reduce the removal efficiency of toluene and *** O_(2) promoted the abatement of toluene and Hg0,the inhibitory role of H_(2)O and SO_(2) offset the promoting effect of O_(2) to some *** significantly inhibited Hg0 removal,resulting from that toluene was present at concentrations orders of magnitude greater than mercury’s or the catalyst was more prone to adsorb toluene,while Hg0 almost exerted non-existent influence on toluene *** mechanistic analysis showed that the forms of toluene and Hg0 removal included both adsorption and oxidation,where the high-valent metal cations and oxygen vacancy clusters promoted the redox cycle of Cr^(3+)+Mn^(3+)/Mn^(4+)+Cr^(6+)+Mn^(2+),which facilitated the conversion and replenishment of reactive oxygen species in the oxidation process,and even the CrMn1.5O4 spinel structure could provide a larger catalytic interface,thus enhancing the adsorption/oxidation of toluene and ***,its excellent physicochemical properties make it a costeffective potential industrial catalyst with outstanding synergistic toluene and Hg0 removal performance and preeminent resistance to H_(2)O and SO_(2).

Earthquakes pose significant perils to the built environment in urban *** avert the calamitous aftermath of earthquakes,it is imperative to construct seismic resilient *** to the intricacy of the concept of urban seismic resilience(USR),its assessment is a large-scale system engineering *** assessment of USR should be based on the notion of urban seismic capacity(USC)assessment,which includes casualties,economic loss,and recovery time as *** loss is also included in the assessment of USR in addition to these *** assessment indicator system comprising five dimensions(building and lifeline infrastructure,environment,society,economy,and institution)and 20 indicators has been devised to quantify *** analytical hierarchy process(AHP)is utilized to compute the weights of the criteria,dimensions,and indicators in the urban seismic resilience assessment(USRA)indicator *** the necessary data for a city are obtainable,the seismic resilience of that city can be assessed using this *** illustrate the proposed methodology,a moderate-sized city in China was selected as a case *** assessment results indicate a high level of USR,suggesting that the city possesses strong capabilities to withstand and recover from potential future earthquakes.

Superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant siloxane-modified MgAl-LDHs coatings on magnesium alloy prepared under mild conditions

We have developed a superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-W/PFDTMS composite coating on the surface of Mg *** composite comprised a tungstate-intercalated(LDH-W)underlayer that was grown at low temperature(relative to hydrothermal reaction conditions)under atmospheric pressure and an outer polysiloxane layer created from a solution containing perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane(PFDTMS)using a simple immersion *** successful intercalation of tungstate into the LDH phase and the following formation of the polysiloxane layer were confirmed through X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The corrosion resistance of the LDH-W film,both before and after the PFDTMS modification,was evaluated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),Tafel curves,and immersion *** results showed that Mg coated with LDH-W/PFDTMS exhibited significantly enhanced corrosion protection compared to the unmodified LDHW film,with no apparent signs of corrosion after exposure to 3.5wt%NaCl solution for 15 ***,the LDH-W/PFDTMS coating demonstrated superior superhydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties against water and several common beverages,as confirmed by static contact angle and water-repellency *** results offer valuable insights into preparing superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-based composite coatings on Mg alloy surfaces under relatively mild reaction conditions.

Multi-layer multi-pass friction rolling additive manufacturing of Al alloy:Toward complex large-scale high-performance components

At present,the emerging solid-phase friction-based additive manufacturing technology,including friction rolling additive man-ufacturing(FRAM),can only manufacture simple single-pass *** this study,multi-layer multi-pass FRAM-deposited alumin-um alloy samples were successfully prepared using a non-shoulder tool *** material flow behavior and microstructure of the over-lapped zone between adjacent layers and passes during multi-layer multi-pass FRAM deposition were studied using the hybrid 6061 and 5052 aluminum *** results showed that a mechanical interlocking structure was formed between the adjacent layers and the adja-cent passes in the overlapped center *** friction and rolling of the tool head led to different degrees of lateral flow and plastic deformation of the materials in the overlapped zone,which made the recrystallization degree in the left and right edge zones of the over-lapped zone the highest,followed by the overlapped center zone and the non-overlapped *** tensile strength of the overlapped zone exceeded 90%of that of the single-pass deposition *** is proved that although there are uneven grooves on the surface of the over-lapping area during multi-layer and multi-pass deposition,they can be filled by the flow of materials during the deposition of the next lay-er,thus ensuring the dense microstructure and excellent mechanical properties of the overlapping *** multi-layer multi-pass FRAM deposition overcomes the limitation of deposition width and lays the foundation for the future deposition of large-scale high-performance components.

Boosted solar water oxidation steered by atomically precise alloy nanocluster

Atomically precise metal nanoclusters(NCs)have been deemed as a new generation of metal nanomaterials in the field of solar energy conversion due to their unique atomic stacking manner,quantum confinement effects,light-harvesting capability and multitude of active ***,wide-spread application of monometallic NCs is blocked by the ultrashort carrier lifespan,uncontrollable charge transport pathway,and light-induced poor stability,impeding the construction of robust and stable metal NC-based ***,we report the fabrication of stable alloy(Au_(1-x)Pt_(x))NCs photosystem,for which tailor-made negatively charged l-glutathione(GSH)-capped Au_(1-x)Pt_(x)NCs as the building blocks are controllably deposited on the Bi VO_(4)(BVO)by a self-assembly approach for steering enhanced light absorption and interfacial charge transfer over alloy NCs-based photoanodes(Au_(1-x)Pt_(x)/BVO).The self-assembled Au_(1-x)Pt_(x)/BVO composite photoanode exhibits the significantly enhanced photoelectrochemical water oxidation performances compared with pristine BVO and Au_(x)/BVO photoanodes,which is caused by the Pt atom doping into the Au_(x)NCs for elevating photosensitivity and boosting the *** synergy of Au and Pt atoms in alloy NCs protects the gold core from rapid oxidation,improving the photostability and accelerating the surface charge transfer *** work would significantly inspire ongoing interest in unlocking the charge transport characteristics of atomically precise alloy NCs for solar energy conversion.

Formation mechanism of deep natural hydrogen in the Sichuan Basin

As a potential renewable and clean energy source,the distribution and exploration prospects of natural hydrogen have garnered widespread ***,the limitations in understanding the formation mechanisms and accumulation patterns of underground natural hydrogen have significantly constrained its efficient exploration and *** study reports H_(2)content and isotopes in natural gas from deep formations in sedimentary basins through geochemical analysis of 58 conventional gas samples from the Sinian to Triassic strata in the central Sichuan *** discovered that H_(2)content in deep natural gas in central Sichuan generally exceeds 0.1%,with a maximum of 1.6%,and hydrogen isotopes(δ^(2)H_(H_(2)))range from-850‰to-586‰.Analysis of the geological conditions,hydrogen generation mechanisms,and isotope fractionation characteristics in the study area confirms that microbial fermentation or in-situ organic matter cracking are not effective pathways for deep H_(2)*** with helium content and isotope analysis of the natural gas,it is inferred that the volcanic basement in the central Sichuan area is the potential source rock for natural H_(2)in the Sinian to Triassic ***,H_(2)originates from the radiolysis of water and hydrothermal reactions of Fe(Ⅱ)in the basement ***,a diffusion fractionation model reveals significant isotope fractionation during the migration and accumulation of deep H_(2)into sedimentary reservoirs,which lead to anomalously light δ^(2)H_(H_(2))in deep natural gas in central *** indicates that the underground natural hydrogen accumulation is in a long-term dynamic process,with simultaneous H_(2)accumulation and dissipation in the gas *** research not only elucidates the formation mechanism of deep H_(2)but also provides insights for the resource potential of natural hydrogen in sedimentary basins.

Development and Application of Cavity-based Absorption Spectroscopy in Atmospheric Chemistry:Recent Progress

Atmospheric chemistry research and atmospheric measurement techniques have mutually promoted each other and developed rapidly in China in recent years. Cavity-based absorption spectroscopy, which uses a high-finesse cavity to achieve very long absorption path-length, thereby achieving ultra-high detection sensitivity, plays an extremely important role in atmospheric chemistry research. Based on the Beer–Lambert law, this technology has the unique advantages of being non-destructive, chemical-free, and highly selective. It does not require any sample preparation and can quantitatively analyze atmospheric trace gases in real time and in situ. In this paper, we review the following:(1) key technological advances in different cavity-based absorption spectroscopy techniques, including cavity ring-down spectroscopy, cavityenhanced absorption spectroscopy, cavity attenuated phase shift spectroscopy, and their extensions; and(2) applications of these techniques in the detection of atmospheric reactive species, such as total peroxy radical, formaldehyde, and reactive nitrogen(e.g., NOx, HONO, peroxy nitrates, and alkyl nitrates). The review systematically introduces cavity-based absorption spectroscopy techniques and their applications in atmospheric chemistry, which will help promote further communication and cooperation in the fields of laser spectroscopy and atmospheric chemistry.

Alpiniae oxyphyllae Fructus ameliorates renal lipid accumulation in diabetic kidney disease via activating PPARα

Objective:To investigate the effects of Alpiniae oxyphyllae Fructus(AOF)on renal lipid deposition in diabetic kidney disease(DKD)and elucidate its molecular ***:The mechanism of AOF in treating DKD was explored by network pharmacological enrichment analysis,molecular docking,and molecular dynamics *** effects of AOF on renal function and lipid deposition were assessed in a mouse model of DKD and high glucose-stressed HK-2 *** viability and lipid accumulation were detected by CCK8 and oil red O *** expressions of PPARαand fatty acid oxidation-related genes(ACOX1 and CPT1A)were detected by quantitative RT-PCR,Western blot,and ***,PPARαknockdown was performed to examine the molecular mechanism of AOF in treating ***:Network pharmacological enrichment analysis,molecular docking,and molecular dynamics simulation showed that the active compounds in AOF targeted PPARαand thus transcriptionally regulated ACOX1 and *** lowered blood glucose,improved dyslipidemia,and attenuated renal injury in DKD ***-containing serum accentuated high glucose-induced decrease in cell viability and ameliorated lipid ***,it significantly upregulated the expression of PPARα,ACOX1,and CPT1A in both in vivo and in vitro experiments,which was reversed by PPARα***:AOF may promote fatty acid oxidation via PPARαto ameliorate renal lipid deposition in DKD.
