Low lattice thermal conductivity and enhanced thermoelectric performance of SnTe via chemical electroless plating of Ag

Interface engineering has been regarded as an effective strategy to manipulate the thermoelectric performance of ***,we use a facile chemical electroless plating and a spark plasma sintering process to fabricate Ag-plated SnTe *** sintering,a small amount of plated Ag can be doped into SnTe to suppress the Sn vacancies and the others form Ag precipitates with a size distribution from nanoscale to microscale,which introduces Ag/SnTe interfaces to enhance the Seebeck coefficient via energy filtering ***,these structures result in strong scattering to reach a low lattice thermal conductivity of-0.62 W·m^(–1)·K^(–1).Consequently,a maximum figure of merit(zT)of-0.67 at 823 K is achieved in 2 wt%Ag-plated SnTe,which is-60%higher than that of pristine ***,the microhardness indentation test results show that the mean microhardness of 2 wt%Ag-plated SnTe is HV 64.26,which is much higher than that of pristine SnTe,indicating that Ag electroless plating can improve the mechanical properties of *** work has provided a facile and eco-friendly method to realize the interface engineering for manipulating the thermoelectric and mechanical properties of SnTe.

The coupling of charge carrier and phonon transport limits the application of Ag_(2)Se as a low-toxic near-room-temperature thermoelectric *** that reduce the thermal conductivity via enhanc-ing the phonon scattering usually lead to reduced carrier mobility due to high grain boundary potential *** this study,we developed a cell-membrane-mimic grain boundary engineering strategy for de-coupling the charge carrier and phonon scattering through decorating high-dielectric-constant rutile TiO_(2) at Ag_(2)Se grain boundaries to enable the charge carrier/phonon selective *** nano-sized TiO_(2) with high dielectric permittivity can secure the charge carrier transport by shielding the interfacial Coulomb potential to lower the energy barrier of grain boundaries,rendering an enhanced power ***,benefited from the enhanced phonon scattering by TiO_(2) nanoparticles,a significantly de-creased lattice thermal conductivity of~0.20 W m^(-1) K^(-1) and a high zT of~0.97 at 390 K are obtained in the Ag_(2)Se-based *** work demonstrates that such cell-membrane-mimic grain bound-ary engineering strategy may shed light on developing high-performance thermoelectric materials.

Control Model of Multifunctional Hot Metal Ladles

For further research on the control model of muhifunctional hot metal ladles between the ironmaking and steelmaking interface, the hot metal ladies of K steel plant were taken as the object to analyze the operation process. The factors of blast furnace supply and basic oxygen furnace demand were proposed. According to the principle of supply and demand balance, the control model of hot metal was researched under the following factor conditions： equal to, greater than, and less than 1, respectively. The distribution model of the blast furnace, sleelmaking works, and online buffering was proposed. When the supply and demand factor is equal to ） , the turnover number of hot metal ladles equals 16 and the turnover cycle of hot metal ladles equals 512 min. When the factor is greater than 1, the total number of hot metal ladles is equal to the normal turnover number plus the turnover number of the cast iron machine. When the factor is less than 1, the total number of hot metal ladles is equal tO the normal turnover number plus the accumulating number. Satisfactory effects were obtained by applying the control model in produc tion. The numbers of turnover ladles and accumulating ladles were reduced.

Real-Time Thermal Schwinger-Dyson Equation for Quark Self-energy in Landau Gauge

By means of a formal expression of Cornwall-Jackiw-Tomboulis effective potential for quark propagator at finite temperatures and finite quark chemical potentials, we derive the real-time thermal Schwinger-Dyson equation for quark propagator in Landau gauge. Denote the inverse quark propagator by A（p^2）ψ - B（p^2）, we argue that, when temperature T is lower than the given infrared momentum cutoff pc, A（p^2） = 1 is a feasible approximation and can be assumed in discussions of chiral symmetry phase transition problem in QCD.

Interplay Between Quark-Antiquark and Diquark Condensates in Vacuum in a Two-Flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio Model

By means of a relativistic effective potential, we analytically research competition between the quark- antiquark condensates （qq） and the diquark condensates （qq） in vacuum in ground state of a two-flavor Nambu Jona Lasinio （NJL） model and obtain the Gs-Hs phase diagram, where Gs and Hs are the respective four-fermion coupling constants in scalar quark-antiquark channel and scalar color anti-triplet diquark channel. The results show that, in the chiral limit, there is only the pure （qq） phase when Gs/Hs 〉 2/3, and as Gs/Hs decreases to 2/3 〉 Gs/Hs ≥ 0 one will first have a coexistence phase of the condensates （qq） and （qq） and then a pure （qq） phase. In non-zero bare quark mass case, the critical value of Gs/Hs at which the pure （qq） phase will transfer to the coexistence phase of the condensates （qq） and （qq） will be less than 2/3. Our theoretical results, combined with present phenomenological fact that there is no diquark condensates in the vacuum of QCD, will also impose a real restriction to any given two-flavor NJL model which is intended to simulate QCD, i.e. in such model the resulting sma/lest ratio Gs/Hs after the Fierz transformations in the Hartree approximation must be larger than 2/3. A few phenomenological QCD-like NJL models are checked and analyzed.

Quark-Antiquark and Diquark Condensates in Vacuum in Two-Flavor Four-Fermion Interaction Models with Any Color Number N_c

The color number Nc-dependence of the interplay between quark-antiquark condensates （q^-q） and diquark condensates （qq） in vacuum in two-flavor four-fermion interaction models is researched. The results show that the Gs-Hs （the coupling constant of scalar （q^-q）2-scalar （qq）2 channel） phase diagrams will be qualitatively consistent with the case of Nc = 3 as Nc varies in 4D Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model and 219 Gross Neveu （GN） model, However, in 3D GN model, the behavior of the Gs-Hp （the coupling constant of pseudoscalar （qq）^2 channel） phase diagram will obviously depend on No. The known characteristic that a 3D GN model does not have the coexistence phase of the condensates （q^-q） and （qq） is proven to appear only in the case of Nc ≤ 4. In all the models, the regions occupied by the phases containing the diquark condensates （qq） in corresponding phase diagrams will gradually decrease as Nc grows up and finally go to zero if Nc → ∞, i.e. in this limit only the pure （q^-q） phase could exist.

Hybrid data-driven framework for shale gas production performance analysis via game theory, machine learning, and optimization approaches

A comprehensive and precise analysis of shale gas production performance is crucial for evaluating resource potential,designing a field development plan,and making investment ***,quantitative analysis can be challenging because production performance is dominated by the complex interaction among a series of geological and engineering *** fact,each factor can be viewed as a player who makes cooperative contributions to the production payoff within the constraints of physical laws and *** by the idea,we propose a hybrid data-driven analysis framework in this study,where the contributions of dominant factors are quantitatively evaluated,the productions are precisely forecasted,and the development optimization suggestions are comprehensively *** specifically,game theory and machine learning models are coupled to determine the dominating geological and engineering *** Shapley value with definite physical meaning is employed to quantitatively measure the effects of individual factors.A multi-model-fused stacked model is trained for production forecast,which provides the basis for derivative-free optimization algorithms to optimize the development *** complete workflow is validated with actual production data collected from the Fuling shale gas field,Sichuan Basin,*** validation results show that the proposed procedure can draw rigorous conclusions with quantified evidence and thereby provide specific and reliable suggestions for development plan *** with traditional and experience-based approaches,the hybrid data-driven procedure is advanced in terms of both efficiency and accuracy.
