Effects of insulin aspart and metformin on gestational diabetes mellitus and inflammatory markers

BACKGROUND Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)refers to hyperglycemia caused by insulin resistance or insufficient insulin secretion during *** with GDM have a high risk of pregnancy complications,which can adversely affect both maternal and fetal ***,early diagnosis,treatment and monitoring of GDM are *** recent years,a new treatment scheme represented by insulin aspart combined with metformin has received increasing *** To explore the effects of insulin aspart combined with metformin on patients with GDM and inflammatory *** From April 2020 to September 2022,124 patients with GDM in Sanya Women and Children’s Hospital Managed by Shanghai Children’s Medical Center were collected and analyzed *** control group(CG)comprised 62 patients treated with insulin aspart alone,and 62 patients treated with insulin aspart and metformin formed the observation group(OG).Before and after treatment,improvement of blood-glucose-related indexes[fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-h postprandial glucose(2h PG)and hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)],serum related factor[serum homocysteine(Hcy)],serum inflammatory cytokines[tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,interleukin(IL)-6 and C-reactive protein(CRP)]were compared between the two *** clinical efficacy,adverse pregnancy outcomes and incidence of pregnancy complications were compared between the two *** After treatment,the levels of FBG,2h PG,HbA1c,Hcy,TNF-α,IL-6 and CRP in both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the levels of FBG,2h PG,HbA1c,Hcy,TNF-α,IL-6 and CRP in the OG were lower than in the CG(P<0.05).The total clinical effectiveness in the OG was higher than that in the CG(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes and complications in the OG was significantly lower than in the CG(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Insulin aspart combined with metformin are effective for treatment of GDM,which can reduce blood-glucoserelated indexes,Hcy and serum inf

Ammonia pyrolysis oxidation excited by nanosecond pulsed discharge:Global/fluid models hybrid solution

Practical approach for detecting k-nonseparability of multipartite quantum states

The instantaneous detection of entanglement in quantum states poses a significant challenge in the fields of quantum computation and quantum information, and there are no practical methods or tools to complete this task satisfactorily so far. We propose a sufficient and necessary criterion of k-nonseparability for any n-partite finite or infinite dimensional systems, 2 ≤ k ≤ n. This criterion serves as the foundation for a practical scheme designed to detect entanglement and k-nonseparability across multipartite finite-dimensional systems. To exemplify the application of our scheme, we have developed a software tool that facilitates swift and precise identification of entanglement, k-nonseparability, and genuine entanglement within n-qubit systems, specifically tailored for systems with 2 ≤ n ≤ 4.

Potential role of tanycyte-derived neurogenesis in Alzheimer's disease

Tanycytes, specialized ependymal cells located in the hypothalamus, play a crucial role in the generation of new neurons that contribute to the neural circuits responsible for regulating the systemic energy balance. The precise coordination of the gene networks controlling neurogenesis in naive and mature tanycytes is essential for maintaining homeostasis in adulthood. However, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways that govern the proliferation and differentiation of tanycytes into neurons remains limited. This article aims to review the recent advancements in research into the mechanisms and functions of tanycyte-derived neurogenesis. Studies employing lineage-tracing techniques have revealed that the neurogenesis specifically originating from tanycytes in the hypothalamus has a compensatory role in neuronal loss and helps maintain energy homeostasis during metabolic diseases. Intriguingly,metabolic disorders are considered early biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. Furthermore,the neurogenic potential of tanycytes and the state of newborn neurons derived from tanycytes heavily depend on the maintenance of mild microenvironments, which may be disrupted in Alzheimer's disease due to the impaired blood–brain barrier ***, the specific alterations and regulatory mechanisms governing tanycyte-derived neurogenesis in Alzheimer's disease remain unclear. Accumulating evidence suggests that tanycyte-derived neurogenesis might be impaired in Alzheimer's disease, exacerbating neurodegeneration. Confirming this hypothesis, however, poses a challenge because of the lack of long-term tracing and nucleus-specific analyses of newborn neurons in the hypothalamus of patients with Alzheimer's disease. The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IPSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated Pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CsPbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （PCE） of NiOxbased inverted IPSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

Health medicine has been the direction of the development of medicine. However, the definition of health defined by Western medicine and traditional medicine cannot completely cover the ful meaning of health. Therefore, we propose the new concept of health: health is a state of physical and mental harmony of different individuals in the life process with the environment, and good self-adaptive and regulation ability to natural and social environment. The new concept of health enriches the connotation of health defined by Western medicine and improves the understanding of health in the past, which provide the conceptual basis for further study on health medicine.

A new centrality measure based on neighbor loop structure for network dismantling

Nearly all real-world networks are complex networks and usually are in danger of ***,it is crucial to exploit and understand the mechanisms of network attacks and provide better protection for network *** dismantling aims to find the smallest set of nodes such that after their removal the network is broken into connected components of sub-extensive *** overcome the limitations and drawbacks of existing network dismantling methods,this paper focuses on network dismantling problem and proposes a neighbor-loop structure based centrality metric,NL,which achieves a balance between computational efficiency and evaluation *** addition,we design a novel method combining NL-based nodes-removing,greedy tree-breaking and ***,we compare five baseline methods with our algorithm on ten widely used real-world networks and three types of model networks including Erd€os-Renyi random networks,Watts-Strogatz smallworld networks and Barabasi-Albert scale-free networks with different network generation *** results demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms most peer methods by obtaining a minimal set of targeted attack ***,the insights gained from this study may be of assistance to future practical research into real-world networks.
