Physical exercise spaces emerged as popular facilities due to recognizing the significance of physical *** study investigates the relationship among physiological responses,human body energy transfer modes,and indoor environmental conditions in influencing thermal comfort perception within indoor physical exercise *** male participants engaged in a 30 min constant-work-rate cycling exercise and a 20 min resting period in a climatic *** physiological and environmental responses were recorded during the experiments,and the body’s energy transfer modes were calculated using the collected *** dataset was prepared using the 2 min averages of the collected data and calculated parameters across the experiment phases,including the features of skin temperature,core temperature,skin relative humidity,heart rate,oxygen consumption,body’s heat transfer rates through convection,radiation,evaporation,and respiration,net metabolic heat production rate(metabolic rate minus external work rate),indoor air temperature,indoor relative humidity,air velocity,and radiant *** boosting regressor(GBR)was selected as the analyzing method to estimate predicted mean vote(PMV)and thermal sensation vote(TSV)indices during exercise and resting periods using features determined in the ***,the four GBR models were defined as PMV-Exercise,PMV-Resting,TSV-Exercise,and *** order to optimize the models’performances,the hyperparameter tuning process was executed using the GridSearchCV method.A permutation feature importance analysis was performed,emphasizing the significance of net metabolic heat production rate(24.2%),radiant temperature(17.0%),and evaporative heat transfer rate(13.1%).According to the results,PMV-Exercise,PMV-Resting,and TSV-Resting GBR models performed better,while TSV-Exercise faced challenges in predicting exercise thermal ***,this study addresses the need to understanding the interrelationship amo

Pathophysiological explanations for metamorphopsia associated with retinal pathologies generally focus on photoreceptor organization disruption. However, the retinal microarchitecture is complicated, and we hypothesize that other retinal cells may also be involved. Metamorphopsia has been widely studied in eyes with epiretinal membranes and we revisit the idea that Müller cell displacement causes retinal macropsia. A Pub Med query and related article search for the macula ultrastructure under normal and pathological conditions revealed an enormous amount of information, particularly ultrahigh definition optical coherence tomography and other retinal imaging modality studies. Findings of these imaging studies support our hypothesis that Müller cells, and not cone photoreceptors, are primarily responsible for macropsia in eyes with epiretinal membranes. More specifically, we conclude that displacement of Müller cell endfeet, and not photoreceptor cones, is a more likely the explanation for retinal macropsia associated with epiretinal membranes.

In this study,a new Dy-Eu-Tm co-doped cubic phase stabilized bismuth oxide solid electrolyte system was synthesized by using solid-state reaction method in atmospheric *** conductivity measurements,X-ray diffraction(XRD)pro files of the annealed samples show that created mixtures have heterogeneous phase,but after conductivity measurements,the face-centered cubic(FCC)crystal structure is stabilized for all ***,the increase in total dopant rate causes an increase in full width half maxima(FWHM)of main peak(111)on the XRD pattern while average crystal size decreases with *** the other hand,the highest conductivity value was obtained for the sample having 15%total dopant rate with 0.62 S/cm at 750℃,whose dopants are evenly distributed in mole *** thermal analysis(DTA)results of the samples having 1:1:1 and 1:2:1 dopant content ratios show that endothermic peak occurs on their DTA curve,indicating crystal structure transformation such as phase transition or order-disorder ***,thermo-gravimetric analysis(TGA)depending on temperature was evaluated in terms of mass *** to TGA curves,mass loss for both heating and cooling process can be negligible due to the small fluctuations(2%)on their TGA curves.

Do PON1-Q192R and PON1-L55M polymorphisms modify the effects of hypoxic training on paraoxonase and arylesterase activity?

Background:Low levels of antioxidant paraoxonase 1(PON 1)enzyme activity,PON1-Q192R polymorphism(a glutamine(Q)to arginine(R)substitution at position 192),PON1-L55M polymorphism(a leucine(L)to methionine(M)substitution at position 55),and oxidized low-density lipoprotein(oxLDL)are risk factors for coronary heart *** exercise improves PON1 activity,but the effects of hypoxic exercise are yet *** aim of this study was to determine the effects of hypoxic underwater rugby training on PON1 activity and oxLDL levels and the role of the mentioned ***:Serum PON1 and arylesterase activities(ARE),PON1,PON3,and oxLDL protein levels(by using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays)were determined in an athletic group(42 trained male underwater rugby players;age=21.7±4.2 years,mean±SD)and a control group(43 sedentary men;age=23.9±3.2 years).The polymorphisms were determined from genomic DNA ***:PON1 activity(25.1%,p=0.052),PON3(p<0.001),and oxLDL(p<0.001)of the athletic group,including most genotype groups,were higher than those of the control *** comparison to the controls,PON1 activity levels(p=0.005)of the PON1-Q192R homozygote QQ genotype group and PON1 activity levels(30%,p=0.116)of the PON1-L55M homozygote LL genotype group were higher,whereas ARE activity values of athletic R allele carrier(Rc=QR+RR)(p=0.005)and LL group(p=0.002)were lower than the control genotype groups related to their ***:Hypoxic training can cause(1)significant oxidative stress,including oxLDL,and an antioxidant response(increase in PON1 activity and PON3),(2)differences in the activity of PON1 and ARE,which are modified by PON1-Q192R and PON1-L55M polymorphisms,respectively,and(3)improvements in PON1 activity of QQ and LL ***,hypoxic training can cause a disadvantage of LL and Rc groups for ARE.

INTRODUCTION Synthetic cannabinoids are increasingly used all over the world as marijuana substitutes. They have various names such as spice and bonzai in different countries. Cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events associated with cocaine, heroin and amphetamine abuse have been frequently reported. However, stroke associated with the synthetic cannabinoids use is rarely reported. There are only a few case reports in association with synthetic cannabinoids use. Bernson-Leung et al described 2 cases that introduce a previously unreported association between synthetic cannabinoids use and ischemic stroke in young adults. Here, we report two patients with stroke that occured shortly after synthetic cannabinoids use.
