Th. conformity of Saudi dates cultivars to date standards h.s not been studied extensively. In th.s study, microbial loads and ph.sicoch.mical ch.racteristics of four Saudi date cultivars (Sukkary, Kh.las, Sugai and Anbara) were determined. Anbara cultivar h.d significantly h.gh.r mould and yeast counts th.n recommended under Saudi tech.ical regulation and standards for packaged wh.le dates. Moisture content and insect damage for all studied cultivars fell with.n Codex standards. Single fruit weigh. for pitted and unpitted dates was h.gh.r th.n recommended under international standards. Date cultivar h.d a significant effect on fruit color th.s fruit color sh.uld be included in Saudi tech.ical regulation and standards for date grading.

Th.s paper proposes an adaptive meth.d based on fuzzy logic th.t utilizes data from ph.sor measurement units(PMUs) to assess and classify generating-side voltage trajectories. Th. voltage variable and its associated derivatives are used as th. input variables of a fuzzy-logic block. In addition, th. voltage trajectory is compared with.th. pre-selected pilot-bus voltage to make a reliable decision about th. voltage operational state. Different types of sh.rt-term voltage dynamics are considered in th. proposed meth.d. Th. fuzzy membersh.p functions are determined using a systematic meth.d th.t considers th. current situation of th. voltage trajectory. Finally, th. voltage status is categorized into four classes to determine appropriate remedial actions. Th. proposed meth.d is validated on a IEEE 73-bus power system in a MATLAB environment.

Th.s study endeavors to develop an improved set of basis functions for nuclear sh.ll-model calculations. Th. sh.ll model, a well-establish.d approach.to understanding nuclear structure,typically employs th. h.rmonic oscillator potential with.n th. mean-field approximation. Given th. extensive validation and consistency of h.rmonic oscillator results with.experimental data,we propose a modification by incorporating a centrifugal term th.t converges toward th. Davidson potential. Th.s potential h.s been extensively studied, and we aim to extract relevant experimental data for th. simplest cases in th. sh.ll model, namely one-particle and one-h.le nuclei. A compreh.nsive comparison between th. Davidson-based results and th. h.rmonic oscillator calculations is presented to demonstrate th. effectiveness of th. new basis functions.

Th.s paper is investigating th. use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for th. protection of ligh. armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military veh.cles(MAV), and th. interaction between th. composite materials and h.gh.performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front h.brid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and th. metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adh.sive tech.ology. Th. proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground veh.cles;h.wever, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. Th. design of th. protection system, including material selection and th.ckness, was elaborated depending on th. performance requirements of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design ph.losoph. wh.ch.is analysed with.th. specifications. Th. backplate of th.s new composite is a h.brid material of Metal Matrix Composite(MMC) reinforced with.carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with.th. use of powder metallurgy tech.ique. Th. composite backplate material was morph.logically, mech.nically and ch.mically analysed. Results sh.w th.t all plates are presenting h.gh.mech.nical properties and ballistic ch.racteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for th. total composite armour systems. After th. ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 sh.wed th. best protection results, compared with.th. oth.r plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with.th. projectile being unable to fully penetrate th. composite plate.

Recycling of paper sludge waste is crucial for establish.ng a sustainable green *** waste contains valuable sugars th.t can be converted into important ch.micals such.as eth.nol,poly h.droxybutyrate,and lactic ***,th. main ch.llenge in obtaining sugars in h.gh.yield from paper sludge is th. h.gh.crystallinity of cellulose,wh.ch.h.nders *** address th.s,pretreatment using ph.sph.ric acid was optimized using response surface meth.dology to facilitate cellulose h.drolysis with.minimal energy and *** created prediction model using th. response surface meth.d considered factors such.as acid concentration(ranging from 60%to 85%),consistency(ranging from 4%to 10%),temperature(ranging from 25℃to 80℃),and time(ranging from 0.5 to 4 h..Th. results revealed th.t th. model’s significant factors affecting th. yield were acid concentration,reaction time,temperature,and th. product of acid concentration and temperature,wh.le th. model’s significant factors affecting th. crystallinity were th. consistency,th. temperature,and th.ir *** results sh.wed th.t th. optimum conditions for pretreatment were using an acid concentration of 64%,temperature of 25℃,consistency of 10%,and time of 30 *** h.drolysis of th. conditionally pretreated paper sludge resulted in a weigh. loss of 42%,compared to only 18%weigh. loss in non-pretreated paper ***,th. optimized conditions led to low levels of furfurals and acetic acid,wh.ch.are undesirable by-products th.t can interfere with.sugar *** total sugar obtained under th. optimized conditions was 0.43 g glucose/g sample(10.46 g/L),wh.le th. contents of meth.l furfural,furfural,and acetic acid were 21.65,235.7,and 4.57 mg/L,*** study demonstrates th. potential of ph.sph.ric acid for pretreatment and h.drolysis of paper sludge,enabling efficient sacch.rification and th. production of sugars with.minimal undesired by-products.
