Sickle Cell Anemia(SCA)is a prevalent genetic condition in Saudi Arabia,particularly in the Jazan *** study’s purpose was to assess the prevalence of de-pression among individuals with SCA in this area and to identify the factors associated with this *** study involved 391 adult participants,all patients in the hematology center of Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital(PMNH).Data was collected through an anonymous interview questionnaire–the Arabic version of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)–between March–May *** questionnaire covered socio-demographic information and variables related to the participant’s SCA history,such as pain levels,frequency of pain,hospitalization duration,and frequency of blood *** variables underwent Chi-square and One-way ANOVA testing,followed by multivariate *** study found a 42%prevalence of depression among the SCA *** significantly linked with heightened depression levels included being widowed or divorced,experiencing frequent and severe pain,and longer duration of hospital *** educational level of at least a bachelor’s degree was also a significant *** study reveals a high prevalence of depression among SCA patients in the Jazan *** underscores the need for policymakers to educate both physicians and patients about the importance of mental health in SCA *** study also highlights the need for more research into the specific causes and effects of depressive symptoms in SCA patients to inform the creation of effective management plans.

AIM: To develop an Arabic version of the ocular surface disease index(OSDI) and to assess its reliability and ***: A cross sectional study was carried out to validate the Arabic version of the OSDI questionnaire. Initially, forward-backward translation was used to translate the English version of OSDI into Arabic. The translated questionnaire was tested for equivalence and cultural adaptability. Totally 200 subjects were then recruited from a non-clinical population and asked to complete the Arabic version of the OSDI(ARB-OSDI). The reliability of the questionnaire was assessed using Cronbach’s-α. A subgroup of 30 participants was asked to complete the questionnaire on two occasions to test the test-retest ***: A total of 200 participants were enrolled in the study. The average age of the study participants was 31.21±13.2 y and 57% were male. An acceptable internal consistency level for the ARB-OSDI questionnaire measured by Cronbach’s-α was revealed. All questions showed good internal consistency. Test-retest reliability analysis revealed good stability(interclass correlation coefficient, r=0.832, Peliability). That makes the questionnaire a valid potential tool to use in Arabic-speaking countries to monitor symptoms of dry eye disease in a larger population.

本文在对发展中国家孟家拉2017-2020年金融机构绿色金融发展现状进行全面分析的基础上,构建了相应的绿色金融评价指标体系,并以孟加拉国金融机构为研究对象,通过对孟加拉商业银行员工的访谈以及孟加拉银行2017-2020官方年度发展报告获得用于本研究的相关数据,结合结构方程模型相关原理,在构建本文理论框架的基础上,进行相应的实证检验。研究结果表明:第一在对绿色金融的贡献中,私人商业银行以76.%的份额,在所有金融机构中占据绝对地位,外资商业银行以19%的份额紧随其后,非银行金融机构、国有商业银行分别占比4%和1.45%,剩余份额为发展金融机构。第二就金融机构在绿色金融主要投融资领域中,银行的绿色金融投融资领域主要集中在绿色基础设施、废品管理、绿色制造以及废物回收再利用等方面;而非银行金融机构的绿色投融资领域主要为各种环保项目,如可再生能源、绿色设施、能源效率和绿色制造等,另外非银行金融机构很少投资于替代能源、可转化能源、可再生能源等领域。第三绿色金融的各构成维度与可持续发展的经济、社会、环境具有较强的关联性,此外,实证数据表明,绿色金融的社会、经济和环境因素与绿色融资来源之间存在着显著的正相关影响效应等。最后基于本文研究结论,结合孟加拉绿色金融发展的实际情况,对进一步发展绿色金融提出相关的对策建议,并在此基础上提出本文研究的局限性以及对未来进一步研究计划进行讨论。

Evaluation of Six Modern Varieties of Potatoes for Yield, Plant Growth Parameters and Resistance to Insects and Diseases

Six modern varieties of potatoes (Diamant, Cardinal, Granola, Felsina, Provento and Asterix) were investigated for their growth parameters and yield to determine their suitability for production in Bangladesh. Results indicate significant variations among the varieties in the yield and morphological characteristics and no difference in the number of main stems per hill. Among the six studied varieties, Asterix produced the greatest yield (29.60 t/ha), the greatest number of tubers per hill (13 tubers/hill), the largest percentage (84%) of medium sized tubers (28 - 55 mm diameter), and the greatest plant height (61.33 cm). Diamant performed second after Asterix with a yield of 28.33 t/ha, and a plant height of 59.0 cm. Felsina produced the lowest yield (25.13 t/ha) and the lowest number of tubers per hill (8.67 tubers/hill). In a farmers’ perception study, where farmers scored the yield and resistance to diseases and insect damage of the six varieties, from 1 to 6 (6 being the highest and 1 being the lowest), Asterix was the most preferred variety by farmers with scores of 6, 5.67 and 5.83 for yield, disease resistance and insect resistance respectively. Provento was the least preferred by farmers with a score of overall performance of 4. The results of this study indicate that Asterix and Diamant have the potential to be grown successfully by the farmers in Bangladesh.
