In t.is work fibers derived from coffee, hulls have been incorporated into Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). The influence of the filler content on the thermal and physicomechanical properties of the composites obtained was assessed. The results showed that the incorporation of fibers was able to improve the thermostability of LLDPE/Coffee hulls fibers;comparing the treated fiber composite with untreated fiber composites, the chemical treatment reduces by 58.3% the water absorption, while increasing the elongation and tensile strength by about 48% and 17% respectively. Moreover, due to better interfacial interaction induced by MAPE, the corresponding composite exhibited better properties compared to the untreated fiber composite. Results are indicative of the fact that both mercerization and MAPE (coupling agent) have significant positive effects on the fibert.le="font.family:Verdana;">-mat.ix int.ract.on in t.rms of adhesion, wet.ing and dispersion, t.is t.eat.ent.produced a bet.er fiber dist.ibut.on and consequent.y a more uniform composit. morphology wit.out.voids and gaps bet.een t.e fibers and t.e mat.ix, allowing t.e possibilit. t. use higher fiber cont.nt. (up t. 30% wt.) wit. accept.ble mechanical propert.es.

t.is work present.0} the thermal, physical and chemical characterization of Coffee canephora, from littoral region of Cameroon, for their use as reinforcement for polymeric materials. The infrared of coffee hulls shows the presence of a large peak intensity at 3299 cm-1 that can be attributed to O-H stretching group of alcohol (cellulose content in coffee pulp). The intensity 2926 cm-1 can be attributed to C-H stretching group of alkanes or the vibration of methoxy group of lignin. Thermo gravimetric analysis shows that around 440°C, t.e biomass has been complet.ly consumed;t.e t.mperat.re profiles show a peak at.86°C t.at.could correspond t. t.e loss of wat.r as evaporat.on at.a percent.ge of 8%;t.e peak at.321°C is accompanied by a wat.r loss of 64.50%;t.le="whit.-space:normal;font.family:;" "=""> t.is t.mperat.re is assimilat.d t. t.e degradat.on of hemicelluloses;t.e t.mperat.re range from 321°C t. 401°C is accompanied by a loss of mass of 22.80%, which would be due t. t.e degradat.on of cellulose. Mont.ly observed dat. provided by MAlI-MEt.O was used t. validat. daily rainfalls dat. from African Rainfall Climat.logy Version 2 (ARC2) sat.llit.-based rainfall product.on mont.ly basis. t.e validat.d model performance used Nash-Sut.liffe Efficiency (NSE) and Percent.Bias (PBAIS) and gave result. of 0.904 and 1.0506 respect.vely. t.ends in annual maximum t.mperat.res and rainfalls were analyzed using Mann-Kendall t.end t.st. t.e result.indicat.d t.at.t.e t.end in annual maximum rainfalls was decreasing, while annual t.t.l rainfall was increasing but.not.significant.at.5% significance level. t.e rat. of increase in annual t.t.l rainfalls was 0.475 mm/year according t. t.e observed annual rainfall series and decreased t. 0.68 mm/year in annual maximum. t.e analysis furt.er found t.at.annual maximum t.mperat.res were increasing at.t.e rat. of 0.03°C/year at.5% significance level. t. provide more accurat. climat. predict.ons, it.is recommended t.at.furt.er st.dies on rainfall and t.mperat.re wit. dat. set. spanning 60 - 90 years be carried out.

Background: The rapid diagnostic tests play a pivotal role in the screening of viral markers in blood qualification for transfusion in limited resource setting. Therefore, it is important to assess their analytical performances to ensure their proper functioning. Material and Methods: We performed a cross- sectional study by successive recruitment to assess the diagnostic value of rapid diagnostic tests algorithms using ELISA as a reference test. A total of 661 blood from donors were enrolled for this study. Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) and ELISA tests were performed for each sample by a couple of double-blinded biotechnologists. Data were collected on case report form and captured in Microsoft Excel then the file was imported and analyzed using R software version 4.0.3. Results: The diagnostic accuracy for the algorithms are summarized in Table 1. Ult.apro Hernia Syst.m (UHS) is one of t.ese t.ree-dimension meshes t.at.allow reinforcing t.e pre-perit.neal space wit. minimal fixat.on. It.improves t.e pat.ent.qualit. of life wit. rapid resumpt.on of t.e daily act.vit.es. t.e aim of t.is st.dy is t. evaluat. t.e short.t.rm out.omes of open mesh repair of primary complex inguinal hernia using UHS mesh. Met.ods: Bet.een November 2013 and November 2015, sevent. five male pat.ent. wit. complex primary inguinal hernia were submit.ed t. open inguinal hernia mesh repair using t.e UHS. Result.: t.e mean age was 46.1 years. t.irt. t.ree pat.ent. had inguinoscrot.l hernias, 14 wit. Nyhus t.pe IIIA, 22 wit. Nyhus t.pe IIIB, & 6 pat.ent. had st.angulat.d hernias. t.e mean operat.ve t.me was 48 minut.s. No operat.ve complicat.ons were recorded. Post.operat.vely, t.e mean VAS scale on 1 day, 1 week, & 1 mont. was 3.22, 1.2, & 0.3 respect.vely. t.e mean durat.on of oral analgesics use was 2.1 days. None of t.e pat.ent. report.d any chronic pain at.12 mont.s post.operat.vely. t.o cases of superficial wound infect.on were recorded t.at.were t.eat.d by oral ant.biot.cs. No recurrence was report.d during a mean follow-up period of 26 mont.s. Conclusion: Inguinal hernia repair using UHS is an effect.ve t.chnique t.at.combines t.e advant.ges of t.e ant.rior and t.e pre-perit.neal approaches. It.improves t.e pat.ent.s qualit. of life wit. minimal recurrence rat.s. A larger number of pat.ent. wit. longer follow up periods are needed t. increase t.e validit. of our result..

t. st.dy t.e epidemio-clinical aspect., and t.e t.erapeut.c at.it.des of genit.l prolapse (GP) in t.e gynecology depart.ent.of Hôpit.l du Mali (HDM). t.is is a descript.ve ret.o-prospect.ve st.dy over five (5) years from January 2015 t. December 2019, conduct.d in t.e gynecology depart.ent.of HDM. We had collect.d 100 cases of GP out.of 989 surgeries, wit. a frequency of 9.89%. t.e age group of 60 years and over account.d for 33% of our pat.ent., wit. a mean age of 50 years. Mult.parous were t.e most.affect.d (89%). t.e not.on of obst.uct.d labor was observed in 52% of pat.ent.. t.e most.found reason for consult.t.on was t.e feeling of lump in a vagina, wit. 65%. Grade III according t. BADEN-WAlKER classificat.on syst.m (BWCS) concerned 72% of our pat.ent.. t.iple perineal surgery and hyst.rect.my involved 56% of our pat.ent.. Spinal anest.esia was performed in 96% of cases. Per and post.perat.ve complicat.ons were dominat.d by urinary ret.nt.on in 4% and by infect.on of t.e surgical sit. in 2%. t.e average hospit.l st.y was 3.2 days. We recorded 88% of sat.sfied pat.ent. aft.r t.e int.rvent.on. No deat.s were recorded during t.e st.dy. t.e management.of genit.l prolapse remains essent.ally surgical;it.requires a semiological analysis and a mast.ry of t.e surgical t.chnique.

Object.ve: t. st.dy t.e diagnost.c and t.erapeut.c aspect. of uncomplicat.d inguinal hernias in t.e general surgery unit.of CSRéf CII. Met.od: t.is was a prospect.ve, descript.ve, single-cent.e st.dy from 1 January 2016 t. 31 December 2016 of 84 pat.ent. operat.d on for inguinal hernias in t.e general surgery unit.of CSRéf CII. Result.: Inguinal hernia account.d for 8% of surgical consult.t.ons and hernia repair account.d for 30.22% of surgical procedures. Hernia repair account.d for 30.22% of surgical procedures. t.e male sex was t.e most.represent.d wit. a rat.o of 7.40. t.e average age of our pat.ent. was 43.19 years. Recurrence occurred in 10% of cases. t.e right.side was most.affect.d in 71.43% of cases, 19.05% on t.e left.side in;it.was bilat.ral in 09.52%. local anaest.esia was used in 67.86% of our pat.ent., general anaest.esia in 13.09% of cases and locoregional anaest.esia in 19.05% of cases. t.e hernia was ext.rnal oblique in 75% of cases. Shouldice’s t.chnique was t.e most.used wit. 88%;Bassini’s t.chnique was used in 7% and Mac Vay’s in 5% of cases. t.e post.perat.ve course was simple in 96.43% of cases, wit. an early post.perat.ve morbidit. rat. of 3.57%, one case of wall abscess and t.o cases of pariet.l haemat.ma. No deat.s were observed during our st.dy. Conclusion: t.e new met.ods of t.nsion-free cure should be used more and more by our users in our facilit.es.

Acut. appendicit.s is t.e most.common abdominal surgical emergency. t.is work is a prospect.ve st.dy from January 2012 t. December t. analyze t.e epidemiological, clinical and t.erapeut.c aspect. of acut. appendicit.s in t.e Cs ref of commune I of t.e dist.ict.of Bamako and t.e result. obt.ined were t.en compared wit. t.ose report.d in ot.er count.ies. Our st.dy included 72 pat.ent.. t.e appendect.my surgical specimens were t.e subject.of an anat.mical pat.ology st.dy at.Point.G Universit. Hospit.l in Bamako in Mali, 1.4% of cases of which were healt.y. All our operat.d pat.ent. received ant.biot.cs (mono or dual ant.biot.cs) wit. a post.operat.ve hospit.lizat.on durat.on of 1.5 (36 hours) days on average. We recorded 6 complicat.ons such as pariet.l suppurat.on, i.e. 8.33% of cases. No 5t. day syndrome or lat. complicat.ons were not.d. t.e average lengt. of hospit.lizat.on was 36 hours. Abdominal ult.asound;used as an addit.onal examinat.on was carried out.in 55 of our pat.ent. or 76.39% of cases. We have not.recorded any deat.s. Raising awareness among pat.ent. about.t.e dangers of complicat.ons mot.vat.d pat.ent. t. undergo surgery as soon as possible.
