Carbon fiber reinforced polymers （CFRPs） are known to be difficult to cut due to the abrasive nature of carbon fibers and the low thermal conductivity of the polymer matrix. Polycrystalline diamond （PCD） drills are commonly employed in CFRP drilling to satisfy hole quality conditions with an acceptable tool life. Drill geometry is known to be influential on the hole quality and productivity of the process. Considering the variety of CFRP laminates and available PCD drills on the market, selecting the suitable drill design and process parameters for the CFRP material being machined is usually per- formed through trial and error, In this study, machining performances of four different PCD drills are investigated. A mechanistic model of drilling is used to reveal trade-offs in drill designs and it is shown that it can be used to select suitable feed rate for a given CFRP drilling process.

Somalia Mogadishu-Turkey Training and Research Hospital is only powered by diesel generator *** this paper,the energy demand of this hospital is supplied by determining the optimum hybrid power renewable generating ***,numerous hybrid renewable power generating systems including the components like diesel generator,wind turbine,photovoltaic(PV)and battery are considered in different ***,they are technically,environmentally and economically analyzed by using the well-known HOMER ***,a sensitivity analysis is also performed considering variations in three important parameters,namely average wind speed,current diesel price and also solar *** to the results,the optimal system is the standalone Wind/Diesel/Battery hybrid renewable energy system(HRES)with the configuration of 1,000 kW wind turbine,350 kW diesel generator,250 kW power converters and 750 ***,this system has the net present cost of$5,056,700 as well as the cost of energy as$0.191/***,it is clearly occurred that the Wind/Diesel/Battery HRES is eco-friendlier than other HRESs.

Objective:To investigate and compare the demographic characteristics,clinical findings,and laboratory results of pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)and extrapulmonary tuberculosis(EPTB)patients,among Turkish citizens,and foreign ***:This study included patients aged 18 and over,both Turkish citizens and foreign nationals,diagnosed with PTB or EPTB between 2016 and *** patients were divided into PTB and EPTB group,and demographic characteristics,clinical findings,and laboratory results were *** with both PTB and EPTB were not included in the *** logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify potential risk factors for ***:Among the 261 TB cases included,46 patients(17.6%)had PTB,and 188(72%)had *** percentage of female patients was significantly higher(P=0.003)in EPTB compared to PTB *** the prevalence of diabetes mellitus(P=0.002),hypertension(P=0.017),coronary obstructive pulmonary disease(P=0.001),congestive heart failure(P=0.005),coronary artery disease(P=0.001)and immunosuppressive medication use(P=0.017)were significantly higher in PTB patients than in EPTB *** logistical analysis reveals that male(OR 2.6,95%CI 1.3-5.5,P=0.009),diabetes mellitus(OR 2.7,95%CI 1.2-6.1,P=0.015),and asthma(OR 6.3,95%CI 1.2-33.9,P=0.032)were associated with an increased risk of *** security coverage(P<0.001)and regular employment status(P<0.001)were found to be lower and the presence of multidrug resistance(P=0.002),isoniazid resistance(P=0.012),and rifampin resistance(P=0.012)were found to be significantly higher in foreign-national TB patients comparing with Turkiye ***:Patients with PTB need to be evaluated for comorbidities and PTB should be investigated in men,in patients with diabetes mellitus or asthma if there are clinical findings suspicious for *** screening for foreign nationals upon entry into the country is essential for TB control and elimination.

In this study, an off grid wind-solar hybrid power generation system was established at Afyon Kocatepe University to meet the energy need of lighting system of three different laboratories. It is planned to efficiently use the energy obtained from the designed hybrid power generation system. For this purpose, PIC 16F877 was used in controlling of lighting load of laboratories. The off-grid wind-solar hybrid power generation system consists of 570 W 24 V mono crystal solar panels, 600 W wind power generation system and accumulator groups. The load control circuit made with PIC 16F877 is designed in a manner that will control the lighting armature groups individually activate and deactivate the armature groups according to intensity of illumination in environment. Besides, separately from generation and storing units constituting the hybrid power generation system, data in kWh are recorded by means of software in 10 seconds intervals. With the obtained power generation and storing data, analyzing of power consumption data when the load control system in active or passive position is made. According to analysis results, with controlling of lighting load and using of energy obtained from off grid wind-solar hybrid power generation system, 20.6% energy saving has been ensured.
