It is impossible to overstate the importance of *** thinking about where humanity would be without it may be enough to demonstrate this *** in the past,energy will play a vital role in shaping future industries,cities,nations,and the *** is why we believe that energy is a critical factor in shaping future paradigms in any target entity or *** have a better understanding of the role that energy plays in the world today and in the future,in this article,we briefly look at the definition of energy and its different forms,and review some data related to energy consumption in the world and the United ***,as a source of clean energy,we believe the future of nuclear power technology,despite the challenges it faces,is an important option for this country and the rest of the world to meet future energy needs without emitting CO(carbon monoxide)and CO2(carbon dioxide),or other GHGs(greenhouse gases),and other atmospheric pollutants and it is more efficient among its other comparable sources of renewable energies,such as solar,wind,***,renewables made up 29 percent of electricity generation in 2020,much of it from hydro-power(16.8 percent).A record amount of over 256 GW of renewable power capacity was added globally during 2020 and continues to be the focal point for climate and energy *** for electricity is direct function of population growth globally and is also driven by the present century’s extraordinary technological developments.

Organisms causing spontaneous bacterial peritonitis in children with liver disease and ascites in Southern Iran

AIM: To determine the causative agents of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) in children with liver disease and ascites in our ***: During a 2.5 year period, from September 2003 to March 2006, 12 patients with 13 episodes of SBP were studied. In all cases at the time of admission serum albumin and glucose, urinalysis and urine culture was performed. Analysis [white blood cell (WBC) count with differential, albumin, glucose], gram stain, culture by BACTEC method and antibiogram was done on ascitic fluids. Abdominal paracentesis was repeated after 48 h of antibiotic therapy for bacteriologic assay. The patients were followed for at least three months in a gastroenterology clinic. RESULTS: There were 7 girls (58%) and 5 boys (42%) with a median age of 5.2 years (range, 6 mo to 16 years). All cases had positive ascitic fluid culture. Gram stain was positive in 5 (38.5%) of them. The isolated organisms were S. pneumoniae in 5 (38.5%), E. coli in 2 (15.3%), S. viridans in 2 (15.3%), and K. pneumoniae, H. influenza, Enterococci, and nontypable Streptococcus each in one (7.7%). All of them except Enterococci were sensitive to ciprofloxacin and ceftriaxone. All ascitic fluid cultures were negative after 48 h of antibiotic therapy. CONCLUSION: S. pneumoniae is the most common cause of SBP in the pediatric age group and we recom-mend a third generation cephalosporine (e.g., Ceftriax-ione or Cefotaxime) for empirical therapy in children with SBP.

Effect of Bromocriptine on Insulin Resistance in Patients with PCO

Introduction: Poly cystic ovary (PCO) is one of the most common endocrine disorders in women. All patients with PCO are at risk of insulin resistance, IFG and diabetes. Recently, bromocriptine is used in treatment of diabetes mellitus type II to improve insulin resistance. Objective: The aim of this study is the evaluation of bromocriptine on insulin resistance in PCO people. Patients and Methods: In this single-blind controlled clinical trial with placebo, 44 patients with PCO referring to endocrinology clinic were evaluated. Inclusion criteria were BMI > 25 kg/m2 and diagnosed PCO patients according to Rotterdam criteria and rule out other causes. Blood samples were obtained for FBS, Fasting Insulin, Prolactin, TSH and 17(OH)P. They divided two groups: Case group was given bromocriptine 2.5 mg daily and placebo was given to control group. Patients were treated for 8 days and in day 9th blood sample was obtained for FBS, Fasting insulin, HOMA-IR index. Mann-Whitney method is used for mean comparison. Results: Data analysis using showed in pre diabetes range, mean changes of FBS, insulin level and IR in Groups 1 and 2 had significant differences(P = 0.004), but no significant different was found in FBS 100 mg/dl with (P = 0.036) were significant, but no significant difference showed in mean change of diastolic blood pressure in FBS > 100 mg/dl (P = 0.99). In FBS < 100 mg/dl mean changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressures were not significant (P = 0.6). Age showed no difference changes in effect on treatment in Groups 1 and 2 (P = 0.1). The WRNM(wide range neutron monitoring)is a newly developed neutron monitoring channel which was initially conceived as a means to meet Regulatory Guide 1.97 requirements for post-accident neutron *** scope was expanded to include the startup monitoring function with the aim of replacing both the source and IRMs(intermediate range monitors)in BWRs(boiling water reactors).The WRNMs,consisting of a newly designed fixed incore regenerative sensor and new electronics,which include both counting and MSV(mean square voltage)channels,have been tested in several reactors and its capabilities have been *** channel will cover the neutron flux range from 103 nv to 1.5×103 nv;it has greater than 1 decade overlap between the counting and MSV *** of the regenerative fissile coating the sensor,even though fixed incore,has a life of approximately 6.0 full power years in a 51 kW/L BWR and similar situation has been proposed for newly designed small modular reactor such as BWRX-300 of General Electric Hitachi reactor.
