In this work,MIL-101,a metal organic framework,has been synthesized and examined in the adsorptive denitrogenation *** to the importance of adsorption capacity and selectivity,the effects of synthesis parameters including metal type,reagent ratio,time and temperature on the MIL-101 performance were investigated by measuring quinoline(QUI)separation from *** optimum conditions were determined using a Taguchi experimental design and the multiresponse optimization(multivariate statistical)*** on the arithmetic mean of normalized QUI adsorption capacity and QUI/dibenzothiophene(DBT)selectivity,as the objective function,the optimum value of synthesis parameters were found to be manganese as metal type in the structure,180°C for synthesis temperature,15h for synthesis time and 1.00 for reagent molar *** these conditions,QUI adsorption capacity and QUI/DBT selectivity were 19.3 mg-n/*** 24.6,***,the arithmetic mean between normalized values of these measured parameters was equal to 1.10,which is in good agreement with the predicted *** MIL-101 produced under optimum conditions was characterized by determining its specific surface area,X-ray powder diffraction patterns and Fourier transform infrared ***,isotherm and kinetic studies indicate that the Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-first-order model can successfully describe the experimental data.

In this study, the thermoelectric properties of pyrene molecule doped with boron and nitrogen atom at different sites of molecule are investigated using density functional theory and none-equilibrium Greens function formalism in the linear response regime. Our calculations show that when the impurities are added to the edge of the molecule, the anti-resonant peaks will appear in the transmission diagram in the vicinity of the Fermi energy level. So it increases the thermoelectric figure of merit of the system in comparison with the one that the impurity is located in the center of molecule. Additionally, the seebeck coefficient signs are not the same among the B, n, and n ＆ B doped devices, indicating that the types of the carriers can be changed with different types of doping.

The behavior of the Goos–H¨anchen(GH) shifts of the reflected and transmitted probe light beams is theoretically investigated. In a fixed geometrical configuration, the effect of quantum interference induced by spontaneous emission on the phase control of the GH shifts is analyzed in this paper. It is found that in a four-level n-type atomic system as an intracavity medium, the GH shifts of the reflected and transmitted probe light beam are completely phase dependent.

This study was organized to see whether vitamin E, as a strong antioxidant, could affect the abnormalities of testis structure caused by para-nonylphenol （p-nP） during its development. A total of 32 female Wistar rats after mating were divided into four groups （n = 8）： control, vitamin E （100 mg kg^-1 per day）, p-nP （250 mg kg^-1 per day） and p-nP ＋ vitamin E. The rats were treated from the seventh day of pregnancy till the twenty-first day. After weaning, the male pups were divided into the same groups and were treated orally for 90 days. Finally, the right testis was fixed, processed, stained and studied using stereological methods. The weight and volume of testis, volume of seminiferous tubules and its diameter, thickness of the basement membrane, height of the germinal epithelium, total number of types A and B spermatogonia, spermatocyte, spermatid and Sertoli cells were significantly reduced in p-nP group when compared with other groups. Co-administration of vitamin E and p-nP compensated for the adverse effects of p-nP on the above parameters. In addition, treatment with only vitamin E caused a significant increase in diameter, basement membrane thickness and height of germinal epithelium, number of spermatogonia and spermatocytes. Co-administration of vitamin E with p-nP could prevent the adverse effects ofp-nP on the testis structure during its development.

BACKGROUnD： nitric oxide （nO） exhibits both protective and detrimental effects in the central nervous system. OBJECTIVE： To investigate the effect of nO on the prefrontal cortex in neonatal stressed rats. DESIGn, TIME AnD SETTInG： A randomized, controlled, animal study was performed at the Anatomical Department of Iran University of Medical Sciences from May 2007 to August 2008. MATERIALS; Forty-eight male, Wistar rats were obtained from Pasteur＇s Institute, Tehran, Iran. METHODS： Rat stress models were established by immobilization and randomly received intraperitoneal injection of 2 mL physiological saline, L-arginine （200 mg/kg） as a nO precursor, n（G）-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester （20 mg/kg）, or subcutaneous injection of 7-nitroindazole （25 mg/kg） as a nO synthase inhibitor. MAIn OUTCOME MEASURES： After the rats were treated for 4 weeks, the frontal cortex was harvested for histological observation and nO detection. RESULTS： Subcutaneous administration of n（G）-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester or 7-nitroindazole resulted in significantly lower prefrontal cortex thickness and nO production compared with subcutaneous administration of L-arginine （P 〈 0.05）. Prefrontal cortex thickness significantly increased in rats following L-arginine treatment, compared with physiological saline intervention （P 〈 0.05）. COnCLUSIOn： nO exhibited protective effects on the prefrontal cortex of stressed rats.

In this article, we synthesize of a novel starch-based superabsorbent hydrogel via graft copolymerization of mixtures of acrylic acid (AA) and 2-Hydroxy ethyl methacrylate (HEMA) onto starch backbones. The polymerization reaction was carried out in an aqueous medium and in the presence of ammonium persulfate (APS) as an initiator and n,n’-methylene bisacrylamide (MBA) as a crosslinker. The hydrogel structures were confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy. Furthermore, the swelling of superabsorbing hydrogels was examined in solutions with pH values ranging between 1 and 13. It showed a reversible pH-responsive behavior at pHs 2 and 8. This on-off switching behavior makes the synthesized hydrogels as an excellent candidate for controlled delivery of bioactive agents. A proposed mechanism for hydrogel formation was suggested and the structure of the product was established using FTIR and SEM spectroscopies.
