The Permian Basin is one of the most prolific,and currently one of the most active,oil and gas basins in the *** Lower Permian strata in the Permian Basin have produced more than 14 billion barrels of oil(BBO),making it the largest volume of hydrocarbon in the *** in the Midland Basin during late Leonardian through early Guadalupian(ca.272-269 Ma)resulted in progradation of shelf edge and ultimately closure of the basin by Middle Permian *** analyzed a merged seismic survey covering parts of the Permian Basin(i.e.,Central Basin Platform and Midland Basin)in Andrews,Ector,and Midland Counties,*** seismic survey and well logs show the presence of gently dipping(ca.1°)clinoforms in the Upper San Andres and Grayburg Formations on the eastern edge of the Central Basin Platform and western Midland *** seismic attributes,curvature,and spectral decomposition identify low sinuosity slope channels oriented north-south,but such channels do not appear beyond the *** shelf edge shifts from north to south during deposition of the Upper San Andres and Grayburg *** identify five basinward shifts noted by the migration of the shelf edge toward the basin center and the presence of channel features along the depositional *** petrophysical analysis indicates that channels cut into carbonate rocks and are filled by siliciclastic sediments;this interpretation is supported by the most negative curvature anomalies along the channel axes caused by the differential compaction between the carbonate and siliciclastic *** are a few channels with a northwest-southeast strike,which matches the direction of the Concho Lineament observed by satellite *** observations are consistent with previous interpretations of the northern Midland Basin closure during Middle-Late Permian time.

AIM:To investigate the effect of lacidipine,thiamine pyrophosphate(TPP)and the combination of lacidipine and TPP against oxidative and inflammatory eye damage induced by bilateral common carotid artery ligation in ***:Male albino Wistar rats were categorized as those who underwent sham surgery(SG),right and left common carotid cross-clamping and unclamping procedure(CCU),lacidipine+CCU(LCCU),TPP+CCU(TCCU),and combination of lacidipine and TPP(LTC)+CCU(LTCCU).One hour before anesthesia,the LCCU(n=6)received lacidipine(4 mg/kg,orally)and the TCCU(n=6)received TPP(20 mg/kg,intraperitoneally).The SG(n=6)and CCU(n=6)received the same volume of distilled water from the same *** anesthesia(60 mg/kg ketamine,intraperitoneally),the necks of the rats were opened in the *** was created for 10min by placing clips on the right and left common carotid *** in the SG only underwent subcutaneous *** 10min,the clips were removed and reperfusion was achieved for six ***,the animals were euthanized(120 mg/kg ketamine,intraperitoneally)and the levels of oxidant,antioxidant and proinflammatory cytokines in the eye tissues were *** retinal tissue of the eye was also examined ***:Lacidipine,TPP,and LTC significantly prevent the increase in malondialdehyde,tumor necrosis factoralpha,interleukin-1β(IL-1β),and IL-6 levels,decrease in total glutathione levels,superoxide dismutase and catalase activities and histopathological retinal damage in eye tissue induced by bilateral common carotid artery ligation in *** impact of these drugs on protection is determined to be LTC>lacidipine>***:As a result of the study,it is concluded that LTC may be more effective than lacidipine and TPP alone in treating ocular ischemic syndrome.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of interferon-γ release assay (IGRA), a sensitive microbiological diagnostic method, in children and adolescents with suspected tuberculosis in a country with a high burden of tuberculosis. Method: This study included 581 children and adolescents aged 4 - 19 years who were suspected of having tuberculosis, were latently infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and had received at least one dose of BCG vaccine between April 17, 2019, and February 24, 2021. The study evaluated the TST results of 106 patients who had a positive Quantiferon test and were suspected of having tuberculosis. Results: The study included 581 patients aged between 4 and 19 years. Of these, 106 patients tested positive for the Quantiferon test, while 19 were indeterminate and 456 were negative. The Quantiferon test positivity rate was 18.24%. Among the 106 QFT-Plus-positive cases, 23 patients also tested positive for TST. The difference in distribution was found to be statistically significant. Conclusion: The QFT-Plus test is considered an alternative to TST and other microbiological diagnostic methods for early tuberculosis diagnosis, particularly in children and adolescents.

Surface treatments applied to titanium and its alloys for implant applications are important for the development of bio *** this study,first an oxide layer was formed on the surface of the titanium plate by micro arc oxidation,and then both calcium phosphate and calcium phosphate/chitosan accumulation were performed for different samples by the sol-gel ***-SEM/EDS examinations,XRD,FTIR and thermal analysis were performed for these micro arc-oxidized,calcium phosphate-coated and calcium phosphate/chitosan-coated *** surface roughnesses for these surfaces were measured between 10μm and 100μm,suitable for bone development on the *** effect of chitosan addition on the calcium phosphate-coated surface on apatite formation ability and antibacterial properties was *** the addition of chitosan slows down the formation of apatite,it ensured that the coating had antibacterial *** calcium phosphate/chitosan biocomposite obtained can be recommended for dental and orthopedic implants.

AIM： To report the real-life experience and clinical results of intravitreal ranibizumab injections to neovascular agerelated macular degeneration（nAMD） in a single institution in ***： A total of 101 eyes of 89 patients with nAMD treated with intravitreal ranibizumab injection, followed up for at least 24 mo between 2009 and June 2014, which were evaluated retrospectively. A pro re nata（PRN） treatment protocol was performed after the patients had received three, monthly loading injections. Best corrected visual acuity（BCVA） and central macular thickness measurements were evaluated at baseline and 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 mo. Number of injections and visits were also ***： Of the 89 patients, 34（38.2%） were male and 55（61.8%） were female and the mean age was 74.0±9.5（52-91）y. The mean follow-up period was 24.82±4.4（24-29）mo. Mean number of visits was 8.4±1.12（7-12） in the first year and 6.6±1.33（4-12） in the second year. The mean number of injections was 5.8±1.6（3-10） and 4.2±2.2（0-9） in the first and second year, respectively. The mean BCVA was 59±15.8 letters at baseline by the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study（ETDRS） chart. The mean BCVA at 3, 12, and 24 mo was 70.3±15.9, 67.9±14.3 and 67.3±16.9 letters, respectively. Improvement in visual acuity for each of the visits from baseline was found to be statistically significant（P〈0.01）. Visual acuity in 9 eyes at month 3, 7 eyes at month 12, and 13 eyes at month 24 did not change. The mean central macular thickness（CMT） was 437.99±164.78 μm at baseline. The mean CMT was 348.05±138.47 μm, 349.27±139.79 μm, and 344.13±146.30 μm at months 3, 12, and 24, respectively. The decrease in CMT for each of the visits from baseline was found to be statistically significant（P〈0.01）.CONCLUSION： Anatomical and functional achievement are obtained in our study, but the mean number of injections and visits are found to be lower than the findings reported in randomized controlled clinical trials in the litera

Taxonomical and Biogeochemical Investigation of Elements in Holocene Mollusk Shells in the South and Southwestern Marmara Basin,Turkey

Concentrations of some heavy metals and trace elements such as Cr, Ga, Ni, Zn, Mo, Cu, Pb, Yb, Y, Nb, Ti, Sr, Ba, Mn, Sc, Co, V, Zr, Fe, Al, W, Se, Bi, Sb, As, Cd in recent mollusk shells and factors affecting their distribution and deposits collected from various depths in the southern and southwestern parts of the Marmara Sea are investigated. The distribution of the elements in the shells is categorized into four groups. Of these, concentrations of 12 elements （As, Bi, Cd, Co, Ga, Mo, Nb, Sb, Se, Sc, W and Yb） are below zero [（0.053-0.79）×10^-6]; concentrations of seven elements （Cr, Ni, Pb, V, Y, Zr and Cu） are （1.0-6.0）×10^-6; concentrations of four elements （Ti, Mn, Ba and Zn） are 10- 20×10^-6; and concentrations of five elements （Si, Al, Fe, Mg and Sr） are （47.44-268.11）×10^-6. The taxonomic characteristics of the 29 elements were studied separately in mollusk shells such as Chamalea gallina （Linn6）, Pitar rudis （Poli）, Nassarius reticulatus （Linn6）, Venerupis senescens （Coocconi）, Mytilus galloprovincialis （Lamarck）, Mytilaster lineatus （Gemelin in Linne） and Chlamys glabra. It was found that, in mollusk taxonomy, the elements have unique values. In other words, element concentrations in various mollusk shells depend mainly on the taxonomic characteristics of mollusks. In various bionomic environments different element distributions of the same species are attributed to the different geochemical characters of the each environment. Data obtained in this study indicate that the organisms are the most active and deterministic factors of the environment.

AIM:To describe the results of vitrectomy and partial capsulectomy via anterior approach surgical technique in treatment of chronic postoperative endophthalmitis (CPE). METHODS:Clinical records of 9 patients treated for CPE between 2006 and 2010 were reviewed retrospectively. All of these patients were treated with vitrectomy and partial capsulectomy via anterior approach. RESULTS:Six of 9 patients were male. The average patients’ age was (60 ±8.1) years. The average period between cataract extraction and onset of signs and symptoms was (3.6±1.3) weeks. The average presenting visual acuity was 0.3 ±0.1 and the average final post operative visual acuity was 0.7±0.2. The mean follow-up period was (28.1±8.9) weeks. In all patients, the inflammation subsided after surgery. · CONCLUSION:Our results suggest that anterior vitrectomy and partial capsulectomy via anterior approach may be considered as potentially useful and relatively less invasive technique to treat CPE.

In this study,combustion instabilities and flue gas emission changes under different dilutions of N_(2)(nitrogen)and Ar(argon)of a promising biogas mixture(70%CH4-30%CO_(2))in the fight against greenhouse gas emissions were *** the experiments,additions were made from 0%to 50%at intervals of 10%for both *** order to detect the instability of the flame,external acoustic enforcements at different frequencies was applied through the speakers placed in the combustion chamber *** dynamic pressure fluctuation values were *** results showed that low dilution ratios were effective in reducing flame instability for both inert ***,as the dilution ratio increased,the fuel/air mixture became leaner and blowoff *** the case of comparing two different gases,it has been observed that the effect of argon gas on reducing dynamic pressure fluctuation is *** outlet temperature and brightness values of the flame decreased in both Ar and N_(2)*** and NOx emissions increased with increasing diluent volume for all dilution *** the emissions of the two diluent gases are compared,the CO emission,which was 3134 ppm in the undiluted condition,increased up to 4949 ppm in 50%Ar dilution,while it increased to 4521 ppm in 50%N_(2)dilution.
