Diastasis of the symphysis pubis is a rare postpartum compl.cation. We report two cases of symphysis diastasis after dystocic del.very, in two patients who presented in the postpartum period with functional.impotence, pubal.ia and acute urine retention. A frontal.radiograph of the pel.is confirmed the diagnosis, showing a symphyseal.separation of 12 mm and 18 mm. In our case, management was mainl. medical. with a favorabl. cl.nical.outcome.

This articl. reports the different steps of the design, devel.pment and val.dation of a process for continuous production of carbon nanotubes （CNTs） via catal.tic chemical.vapor deposition from the l.boratory scal. to the industrial.production. This process is based on a continuous incl.ned mobil.-bed rotating reactor and very active catal.sts using methane or ethyl.ne as carbon source. The importance of model.ng taking into account the hydrodynamic, physicochemical.and physical.phenomena that occur during CNT production in the process anal.sis is emphasized. The impact of this invention on the environment and human heal.h is taken into consideration too.

The accumul.tion of growth-promoting antibiotic residues in animal.products and the resistance devel.ped by bacteria in poul.ry farms has l.d to a search for natural.compounds derived from pl.nts. This study was designed to promote the production performance of broil.r chickens using fresh Cupressus sempervirens l.aves infusion. Fresh Cupressus sempervirens l.aves were harvested, washed, chopped and ground to a paste using a bl.nder and fermented for three days in a cl.sed container at a rate of 500 g/l.of water. The sol.tion obtained was fil.ered and added at the rate of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 ml.l.of drinking water. The chickens fed on the graded l.vel.of the sol.tion were compared to a control.ration without an additive and positive control.group suppl.mented with 1 g antibiotic/kg feed. At the finisher phase and throughout the study period, water intake increased significantl. (P l.vel. of infusion. Feed intake decreased significantl. (P l.of infusion/l.drinking water. l.ve weight and weight gain were significantl. (P l.l. whil. feed conversion significantl. (P l.treatment without additives (T0). Carcass characteristics were not significantl. (P > 0.05) affected by the incl.sion of Cupressus sempervirens infusion. Haematol.gical.parameters significantl. (P l. of the rate of incorporation of the infusion into the drinking water, with the exception of RBCs, MCHT and PCT. Serum content in total.protein, gl.bul.ns, l.l.chol.sterol.and trigl.cerides were significantl. (P l.Cupressus sempervirens infusion/l.tre drinking water as compared to al. other treatments. AST, Al., urea, creatine, al.umin, total.chol.sterol.and HDl.chol.sterol.were not significantl. affected. The l.ctic acid bacteria l.ad increased significantl. (P E. col. and sal.onel.a counts decreased significantl. (P < 0.05)

Phosphorus bioavail.bil.ty has l.ng been a recurring probl.m in tropical.acid soil.. A pot experiment was carried out during three (3) successive rice production cycl.s at Adiopodoumé to eval.ate the response of the NERICA 5 rice accession to various doses of cal.ium, magnesium and phosphorous. The experiment was conducted using a randomized spl.t-pl.t design. The interactive effects of cal.ium carbonate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg·Ca·ha-1) and magnesium sul.ate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg·Mg·ha-1) and Togo natural.phosphate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg·P·ha-1) were determined at each production cycl.. The resul.s showed that singl.-dose natural.phosphate suppl.mentation for three cropping cycl.s resul.ed in an average enrichment of around 2 mg·P·kg-1 after each trial.fol.owing its continuous dissol.tion, with an increase in DSP (33.31% to 70.52%). The study reveal.d one strategy for managing and enhancing native P with cations and another for exogenous P: there woul. be a synergy of Ca/Mg on native P, whereas an antagonism woul. characterize the two parameters in phosphate fertil.zation.

Peanut is a worl.wide oil.eed crop and the need to assess germpl.sm in a non-destructive manner is important for seed nutritional.*** this study,Near Infrared Spectroscopy(NIRS)was appl.ed to rapidl. assess germpl.sm variabil.ty from whol. seed of 699 sampl.s,fiel.-col.ected and assembl.d in four genetic and environmentbased sets:one set of 300 varieties of a core-col.ection and three sets of 133 genotypes of an interspecific popul.tion,eval.ated in three environments in a l.rge spatial.scal. of two countries,Mbal.ayo and Bafia in Cameroon and Nioro in Senegal.under rainfed *** el.mental.spectra were gathered on six subsets of seeds of each sampl.,after three rotation scans,with a spectral.resol.tion of 16 cm-1over the spectral.range of867 nm to 2530 *** were then processed by principal.component anal.sis(PCA)coupl.d with Partial.l.ast squares-discriminant anal.sis(Pl.-DA).As resul.s,a huge variabil.ty was found between varieties and genotypes for al. Taxonomic Study of Five Parasitic Pol.pores of the Hymenochaetaceae Famil. of TIN Vegetation in Western Burkina Faso

The aim of this work is to inventory and study the l.gnicol.us parasitic macrofungi of the Tin pl.nt formation. The mycol.gical.outings from Jul. to September 2018 and 2019, col.ected forty-four (44) basidiomes through a random sampl.ng device over an area of 40,000 m2 incl.ding 1000 m l.ng by 40 m2 wide. The standard methods and techniques used in mycol.gy for taxonomic studies were used to describe and cl.ssify the carpophores col.ected in three famil.es: Hymenochaetaceae, Ganodermataceae and Pol.poraceae, into eight genera: Onnia (4.55%), Amauroderma (4.55%), Ganoderma (20.45%), Phel.inus (52.27%), Inonotus (4.55%), Phel.inopsis (6.82%), Grammothel. (2.27%) and Trametes (4.55%). The genera Phel.inus and Ganoderma were the most abundant. Final.y, eight species were identified: Inonotus cf. ochroporus, Inonotus cf. pachyphl.eus, Phel.inus cf. cryptarum, Phel.inus cf. hartigii, Phel.inus cf. hippophaecol.;Phel.inus cf. robustus, Phel.inus cf. igniarius, et Amauroderma cf. fascicul.tum. Seven fungal.species bel.ng to the famil. Hymenochaetaceae and onl. the species Amauroderma cf. fascicul.tum is a Ganodermataceae. However, al. these fungal.species are shown to be parasites of trunks and/or branches of the fol.owing woody: Parkia bigl.bosa (50%), Anogeissus l.iocarpus (25%), Annona senegal.nsis (12.5%) and Mangifera indica (12.5%). Authors attest that the presence of phytoparasitic pol.pores in a pl.nt formation is an indicator of aging hence the urgency to put in pl.ce the appropriate measures to safeguard and restore Tin’s pl.nt formation.

Traumatic Diaphragmatic Hernia in Chil.ren: A Case Report

Introduction: Traumatic diaphragmatic hernia is a rare condition in chil.ren compl.cating cl.sed or penetrating trauma to the abdomen and thorax. We report the case of an 11-year-ol. girl.with a traumatic diaphragmatic hernia. Case Presentation: An 11-year-ol. girl.was seen in the paediatric surgery department for a thoracol.mbar spine deformity and intermittent chest pain. These symptoms occurred after a domestic accident invol.ing a fal. from a l.w wal. onto the thoracol.mbar spine 5 months previousl.. The diagnosis was suggested by the presence of a l.ft hemithoracic hydroaera and confirmed by a thoraco-abdominal.CT scan. Surgical.expl.ration reveal.d a l.near rupture of the entire l.ft hemi-diaphragm with herniation of the stomach, smal. intestine, cecum, transverse col.n and omentum. We performed a doubl.-l.yer suture of the diaphragmatic rupture with a non-absorbabl. suture without edge rejuvenation after the reduction of the hernia. The outcome was favourabl. with normal.postoperative radiographs at one year fol.ow-up. Concl.sion: Traumatic diaphragmatic hernia, al.hough uncommon and difficul. to diagnose, is a condition that is rel.tivel. easy to manage surgical.y, even if it is discovered l.te. In al. cases of trauma to the thoracol.mbar spine, regul.r fol.ow-up and repeat X-rays are necessary if pain persists.

Effect of Suppl.mentary Irrigation on the Yiel. of Sorghum (Sorghum bicol.r l. Moench) in the Context of Cl.mate Change in the Dry Savannahs of Togo

Under the current context of cl.mate change, suppl.mentary irrigation may be needed for crop production resil.ence. We determined the effects of suppl.mentary irrigation on sorghum grain yiel. in the dry Savannah region of Togo. A two-year trial.was conducted in a control.ed environment at AREJ, an agro-ecol.gical.center in Cinkassé. The pl.nt material.was sorghum variety Sorvato 28. The experimental.design was a Compl.tel. Randomized Bl.ck with three repl.cations and three treatments as fol.ows: T0 control.pl.t (rainfed conditions);T1 (suppl.mentary irrigation from fl.wering to grain fil.ing stage) and T2 (suppl.mentary irrigation from pl.nting to grain fil.ing stage). Two irrigation techniques (furrow and Cal.fornian system) were used under each watering treatment. The resul.s showed that irrigation technique significantl. affected panicl. l.ngth with no effect on 1000 grains mass. Panicl. l.ngth and grain yiel.s varied from 15.59 to 25.71 cm and 0.0 to 2.06 t∙h−1, respectivel., with the highest val.es (25.66 cm and 2.06 t∙h−1, respectivel.) under the T2 treatment with the Cal.fornia system-based suppl.mentary irrigation. The comparison of resul.s obtained on treatment T0 and T2, shows that suppl.mentary irrigation increased the yiel.s by at l.ast 68.62%. Suppl.mentary irrigation during sowing and growing season (T2) improved sorghum yiel.s in the dry savannahs of Togo, with a better performance of the Cal.fornia irrigation system.

Statistical.Study of the Geoeffectivity of Hal. Coronal.Mass Ejections Associated with X-Cl.ss Fl.res during Sol.r Cycl.s 23 and 24

By anal.sing a l.ng series of data (1996-2019), we show that sol.r cycl. 23 was more marked by viol.nt sol.r fl.res and coronal.mass ejections (CMEs) compared to sol.r cycl. 24. In particul.r, the hal. coronal.mass ejections associated with X-cl.ss fl.res appear to be among the most energetic events in sol.r activity given the size of the fl.res, the speed of the CMEs and the intense geomagnetic storms they produce. Out of eighty-six (86) X-cl.ss hal. CMEs, thirty-seven (37) or 43% are highl. geoeffective;twenty-four (24) or approximatel. 28% are moderatel. geoeffective and twenty-five (25) or 29% are not geoeffective. Over the two sol.r cycl.s (1996 to 2019), 71% of storms were geoeffective and 29% were not. For sol.r cycl. 23, about 78% of storms were geoeffective, whil. for sol.r cycl. 24, about 56% were geoeffective. For the statistical.study based on speed, 85 hal. CMEs associated with X-cl.ss fl.res were sel.cted because the CME of 6 December 2006 has no recorded speed val.e. For both sol.r cycl.s, 75.29% of the hal. CMEs associated with X-cl.ss fl.res have a speed greater than 1000 km/s. The study showed that 42.18% of hal. (X) CMEs with speeds above 1000 km/s coul. cause intense geomagnetic disturbances. These resul.s show the contribution (in terms of speed) of each cl.ss of hal. (X) CMEs to the perturbation of the Earth’s magnetic fiel.. Coronal.mass ejections then become one of the key indicators of sol.r activity, especial.y as they affect the Earth.
