Postmortem exa.ina.ion is a.highly specia.ized surgica. procedure tha. consists of a.thorough exa.ina.ion of a.corpse to determine the ca.se a.d ma.ner of dea.h a.d to eva.ua.e a.y disea.e or injury tha. ma. be *** study a.med to a.sess the knowledge,a.titude,a.d perception of postmortem exa.ina.ion a.ong doctors a.d nurses in a.tertia.y hea.th ca.e of Sokoto sta.e.a.cross‑sectiona. study design wa. used,a.d a.tota. of 149 doctors a.d nurses pa.ticipa.ed in the *** were recruited into the study using probability proportiona.e to size followed by a.simple ra.dom sa.pling *** were obta.ned through self‑a.ministered questionna.res,a.d the da.a.were a.a.yzed using Sta.istica. Pa.ka.e for Socia. Sciences Version *** sta.istics,Chi‑squa.e test,a.d multinomia. logistic regression a.a.ysis were ca.ried *** mea. a.e of respondents wa. 31.6(5.6)*** were more nurses tha. doctors(60.4%vs.39.6%)in the *** tha. three‑qua.ter(80%)of the respondents ha. fa.r to good knowledge of postmortem *** ma.y respondents expressed positive a.titudes a.d perceptions,less tha. ha.f were willing to a.cept orga.s from decea.ed ***’profession influenced both the knowledge(P>0.001,odds ra.io[OR]=13.95)a.d a.titude(Pa.er tha. three‑qua.ter of respondents ha. fa.r to good knowledge a.d ma.y expressed positive a.titudes a.d perceptions with respect to postmortem exa.ina.ion,there is need to crea.e more a.a.eness on medica. benefit of postmortem exa.ina.ion.

Objective: Severe a.ute ma.nutrition (Sa.) is one of the most common ca.ses of morbidity a.d morta.ity a.ong children under 5 yea.s of a.e worldwide. The a.m of this study wa. to find out the preva.ence of Sa. a.ong hospita.ized children a. a.-Wa.da.tea.hing hospita. in a.en, Yemen. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectiona. hospita. based study wa. conducted on 622 hospita.ized children (336 ma.es a.d 286 fema.es) below 6 yea.s of a.e during 2012-2013. Sa. wa. defined a. a.very low weight for height (below-3 Z scores of the media. WHO growth sta.da.ds). Results: Sa. wa. dia.nosed in 622 children with preva.ence ra.e of 5.2% from tota. 11,941 a.missions during 24 months period. a.higher proportion of pa.ients were ma.a.mus 586 (94.2%) a.d only 36 (5.8%) were kwa.hiorkor. Ma.a.mus wa. common in a. of a.e in 347 (59.2%) while kwa.hiorkor between 1 - 5 yea.s in 22 (61.1%) pa.ients. Ma.es (54%) predomina.ed fema.es (46%) with a.ma.e to fema.e ra.io of 1.18:1 in Sa. but with no significa.t difference in sex. The highest comorbidities with Sa. were ga.troenteritis 442 (71.1%) a.d 103 pneumonia.(16.6%) with a.tota. cure of 492 (79.1%) pa.ients. Conclusion: This high preva.ence of Sa. a.ong ma.es who were a.s of a.e with high risk of ga.troenteritis a.d pneumonia.a.ded weight to the urgent need to improve the nutritiona. sta.us of children.

M-type barium hexa.errites with chemica. composition ba1-xDyxFe12-yCryO19(x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, a.d y =0.0, 0.4, 0.5) were synthesized via.sol–gel a.to-combustion method. The sa.ples were pre-sintered a. 400℃ for 3 h a.d sintered a. 950℃ for 5 h. The cha.ges in the structura., dielectric, a.d optica. properties were studied a.ter the substitution of Dy3+a.d Cr3+ions. X-ra. diffra.tion(XRD) a.a.ysis confirms the forma.ion of single pha.e hexa.errites with the a.sence of seconda.y pha.e. FTIR a.a.ysis gives a. idea.of the forma.ion of hexa.errites with the a.pea.a.ce of two pea.s a. 438 cm-1a.d 589 cm-1. The field emission sca.ning electron microgra.hs(FESEM) show a.combina.ion of crysta.lites with la.ge sha.es close to hexa.ona. pla.elet-like sha.e a.d others with rice or rod-like sha.es, wherea. EDX a.d elementa. a.a.ysis confirm the stoichiometry of prepa.ed sa.ples. The ca.cula.ed band ga. from UV-vis NIR spectroscopy spectra.wa. found to decrea.es with increa.e in Dy3+–Cr3+substitution. The dielectric properties were expla.ned on the basis of Ma.well–Wa.ner model. Enha.cement of dielectric consta.t a. higher frequencies wa. observed in a.l the sa.ples. Low dielectric loss is a.so observed in a.l the sa.ples a.d Cole–Cole plot shows tha. gra.n bounda.y resista.ce(Rgb) contribute most to the dielectric properties.
