Changes in microstructure and properties of weld heat-affected zone of high-strength low-alloy steel

The evolution of the microstructure and toughness of APL5L X80 pipeline steel after thermal welding simulation was investigated by X-ray diffraction,electron backscatter diffraction,and transmission electron *** results indicated that primary heat-affected zones can be divided into weld,coarse-grained,fine-grained,intercritical,and sub-critical *** microstructure of the weld zone is mainly composed of bainitic ferrite and a small amount of granular bainite;however,the original austenite grains are distributed in the columnar *** structure of the coarse-grained zone is similar to that of the weld zone,but the original austenite grains are *** contrast,the microstructure in the fine-grained zone is dominated by fine granular bainite,and the effective grain size is only 8.15μm,thus providing the highest toughness in the entire heat-affected *** intercritical and subcritical zones were brittle valley regions,and the microstructure was dominated by granular ***,the martensite-austenite(M/A)constituents are present in island chains along the grain boundaries,and the coarse size of the M/A constituents seriously reduces the *** results of the crack propagation analyzes revealed that high-angle grain boundaries can significantly slow down crack growth and change the crack direction,thereby increasing the material *** impact toughness of the low-temperature tempering zone was equivalent to that of the columnar grain zone,and the impact toughness was between those of the critical and fine-grained zones.

Comprehensive Evaluation Method for Traffic Flow Data Quality based on Grey Correlation Analysis and Particle Swarm Optimization

Nowadays,data are more and more used for intelligent modeling and prediction,and the comprehensive evaluation of data quality is getting more and more attention as a necessary means to measure whether the data are usable or ***,the comprehensive evaluation method of data quality mostly contains the subjective factors of the evaluator,so how to comprehensively and objectively evaluate the data has become a bottleneck that needs to be solved in the research of comprehensive evaluation *** order to evaluate the data more comprehensively,objectively and differentially,a novel comprehensive evaluation method based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)and grey correlation analysis(GCA)is presented in this *** first,an improved GCA evaluation model based on the technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution(TOPSiS)is ***,an objective function model of maximum difference of the comprehensive evaluation values is built,and the PSO algorithm is used to optimize the weights of the improved GCA evaluation model based on the objective function ***,the performance of the proposed method is investigated through parameter analysis.A performance comparison of traffic flow data is carried out,and the simulation results show that the maximum average difference between the evaluation results and its mean value(MDR)of the proposed comprehensive evaluation method is 33.24%higher than that of TOPSiS-GCA,and 6.86%higher than that of *** proposed method has better differentiation than other methods,which means that it objectively and comprehensively evaluates the data from both the relevance and differentiation of the data,and the results more effectively reflect the differences in data quality,which will provide more effective data support for intelligent modeling,prediction and other applications.

investigation of Fracture Strength of Current Post materials (Peek, Fiber, Cast Metal) in Different Ferrule Conditions

Aim: The fracture resistance of the post materials used nowadays significantly impacts the fracture type of the post material. The current study aimed to examine the impact of the fracture resistance of PEEK posts, whose use as a post material has not yet become widespread, on the fracture pattern that will occur. materials and Methods: Sixty-six extracted upper central incisor human teeth were used in the study. Six groups of posts were produced from metal, fiber, and PEEK materials (n = 11). Afterward, the fracture resistance test was applied to the samples. Samples were classified according to fracture type as repairable or irreparable. The ANOVA and test were used in statistical analysis. Post-hoc tests were carried out using Tukey’s and Tamhane’s T2 tests. On the other hand, Pearson’s chi-square test and the Fisher-Freeman-Halton test were conducted for comparisons between categorical variables. The statistical significance level was accepted as p Results: According to the fracture resistance test results, the groups where metal personal posts were used displayed higher fracture resistance in comparison with all other groups. According to the results of the optical microscope examination, the incidence of repairable fractures was significantly higher in the PEEK post group with ferrule preparation (p 0.05). Conclusion: in the absence of the ferrule effect, fractures are catastrophic, regardless of the material used. The use of PEEK as a post material contributes to keeping fractures at a repairable level.

Enhancing corrosion resistance of plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings on AM50 Mg alloy by inhibitor containing ba(NO_(3))_(2) solutions

To enhance the long-term corrosion resistance of the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coating on the magnesium(Mg)alloy,an inorganic salt combined with corrosion inhibitors was used for posttreatment of the *** this study,the corrosion performance of PEO-coated AM50 Mg was significantly improved by loading sodium lauryl sulfonate(SDS)and sodium dodecyl benzene sulf-onate into ba(NO_(3))_(2) post-sealing *** electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectrometer,and ultraviolet-visible analyses showed that the inhibitors enhanced the incorporation of baO_(2) into PEO *** impedance showed that post-sealing in ba(NO_(3))_(2)/SDS treatment enhanced corrosion resistance by three orders of *** total impedance value remained at 926Ω·cm^(2)after immersing in a 0.5wt%NaCl solution for 768 h.A salt spray test for 40 days did not show any obvious region of corrosion,proving excellent post-sealing by ba(NO_(3))_(2)/SDS *** corrosion resistance of the coating was enhanced through the synergistic effect of baO2 pore sealing and SDS adsorption.

A simulation-based software to support the real-time operational parameters selection of tunnel boring machines

With the fact that the main operational parameters of the construction process in mechanized tunneling are currently selected based on monitoring data and engineering experience without exploiting the advantages of computer methods,the focus of this work is to develop a simulation-based real-time assistant system to support the selection of operational *** choice of an appropriate set of these parameters(i.e.,the face support pressure,the grouting pressure,and the advance speed)during the operation of tunnel boring machines(TBM)is determined by evaluating different tunneling-induced soil-structure interactions such as the surface settlement,the associated risks on existing structures and the tunnel lining *** evaluate soil-structure behavior,an advanced process-oriented numerical simulation model based on the finite cell method is *** enable the real-time prediction capability of the simulation model for a practical application during the advancement of TBMs,surrogate models based on the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition and Radial basis Functions(POD-RBF)are *** proposed approach is demonstrated through several synthetic numerical examples inspired by the data of real tunnel *** developed methods are integrated into a user-friendly application called SmaRT to serve as a support platform for tunnel engineers at construction *** to each user adjustment of the input parameters,i.e.,each TBM driving scenario,approximately two million outputs of soil-structure interactions are quickly predicted and visualized in seconds,which can provide the site engineers with a rough estimation of the impacts of the chosen scenario on structural responses of the tunnel and above ground structures.

Physics-based seismic analysis of ancient wood structure:fault-to-structure simulation

based on the domain reduction method,this study employs an SEM-FEM hybrid workflow which integrates the advantages of the spectral element method(SEM)for flexible and highly efficient simulation of seismic wave propagation in a three-dimensional(3D)regional-scale geophysics model and the finite element method(FEM)for fine simulation of structural response including soil-structure interaction,and performs a physics-based simulation from initial fault rupture on an ancient wood *** verification of the hybrid workflow,a large-scale model of an ancient wood structure in the Beijing area,The Tower of Buddhist incense,is established and its responses under the 1665 Tongxian earthquake and the 1730 Yiheyuan earthquake are *** results from the simulated ground motion and seismic response of the wood structure under the two earthquakes demonstrate that this hybrid workflow can be employed to efficiently provide insight into the relationships between geophysical parameters and the structural response,and is of great significance toward accurate input for seismic simulation of structures under specific site and fault conditions.

background:The European Society for Medical Oncology(ESMO)guidelines are among the most comprehensive and widely used clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)***,the level of scientific evidence supporting ESMO CPG recommendations has not been systematically *** study assessed ESMO CPG levels of evidence(LOE)and grades of recommendations(GOR),as well as their trends over time across various cancer ***:We manually extracted every recommendation with the infectious Diseases Society of America(iDSA)classification from each *** examined the distribution of LOE and GOR in all available ESMO CPG guidelines across different topics and cancer ***:Among the 1,823 recommendations in the current CPG,30%were classified as LOEⅠ,and 43%were classified as GOR ***,there was a slight decrease in LOEⅠ(−2%)and an increase in the proportion of GOR A(+1%)in the current CPG compared to previous *** proportion of GOR A recommendations based on higher levels of evidence such as randomized trials(LOEⅠ–Ⅱ)shows a decrease(71%vs.63%,p=0.009)while recommendations based on lower levels of evidence(LOEⅢ–Ⅴ)show an increase(29%vs.37%,p=0.01)between previous and current *** the current versions,the highest proportion of LOEⅠ(42%)was found in recommendations related to pharmacotherapy,while the highest proportion of GOR A recommendations was found in the areas of pathology(50%)and diagnostic(50%)*** variability in LOEⅠand GOR A recommendations and their changes over time was observed across different cancer ***:One-third of the current ESMO CPG recommendations are supported by the highest level of *** well-designed randomized clinical trials are needed to increase the proportion of LOEⅠand GOR A recommendations,ultimately leading to improved outcomes for cancer patients.
