AIm:To compare the macular and optic nerve perfusion and vascular architecture using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)in normal eyes of Egyptian(Caucasians)and South Asian(Asians)***:Cross-sectional analytical OCTA study performed on 90 eyes of South Asian(n=45)and Egyptians(n=45)were *** participants underwent bestcorrected visual acuity test,slit lamp,and fundus *** images;macular 6×6 mm^(2) grid and optic nerve 4.5×4.5 mm^(2) grid were used to examine the parafoveal and peripapillary regions,***:The mean capillary vessel density(CVD)in macular sectors among South Asians and Egyptians participants were(50.31%±2.53%,51.2%±5.93%)and(49.71%±3.6%,51.94%±4.79%)in superficial(SCP)and deep capillary plexuses(DCP),respectively(P>0.05).mean CVD in both groups was higher in DCP compared to SCP in all sectors but was not significant(P>0.05).mean foveal CVD increases with an increase in central retinal thickness in both SCP and DCP(Pmong both *** area of the foveal avascular zone(FAZ)was 0.28±0.09 and 0.27±0.08 mm2 in South Asian and Egyptians,*** area decreases with an increase in the thickness and foveal CVD(Pmean CVD in the peripapillary area was 48.23%±5.78% in South Asian and 49.52%±2.38% in Egyptian *** mean retinal nerve fiber layer thickness was found to be higher in the nasal quadrant among South Asian females than the Egyptian females(Pmproving the normative data on the differences in South Asian and Egyptian populations.

Using the matrix method, spin-dependent tunneling properties such as barrier transparency, the degree of resonance polarization, and tunneling lifetime of electrons are examined in the non-magnetic/diluted magnetic semiconductor heterostructure. The effects of the double δ-potential and the magnetic field are discussed on the transport properties of the electrons. The introduction of double δ-potential shifts the resonance peak of polarization to the higher energy value. Both height and position of the δ-potential influence the degree of resonance polarization in the considered heterostructure. The increasing magnetic field enhances the spin-polarization.

The age at which a woman enters natural menopause has also been associated to death from any cause. menopause is a natural component of aging that happens between the ages of 45 and 55, with the average menopausal age being 51. Previous research has revealed the age at which women reach menopause, but there is no evidence to support the link between menopause and longevity. We made a study in assessing the limits of maximum lifespan at menopausal age in our previous article. In this paper, we aim to predict the maximum lifespan of women at mean menopausal age.

Background Ovarian follicular fluid(FF)is a dynamic environment that changes with the seasons,affecting follicle development,ovulation,and oocyte *** in the follicles release tiny particles called extracellular vesicles(EVs)containing vital regulatory molecules,such as microRNAs(miRNAs).These miRNAs are pivotal in facilitating commu-nication within the follicles through diverse signaling and information transfer ***-coupled miRNA signaling is implicated to be associated with ovarian function,follicle and oocyte growth and response to various environmen-tal ***,we investigated how seasonal variations directly influence the ovulatory and anovulatory states of ovarian follicles and how are they associated with follicular fluid EV-coupled miRNA dynamics in *** Ultrasonographic monitoring and follicular fluid aspiration of preovulatory follicles in horses during the ano-vulatory(spring:non-breeding)and ovulatory(spring,summer,and fall:breeding)seasons and subsequent EV isola-tion and miRNA profiling identified significant variation in EV-miRNA cargo *** identified 97 miRNAs with dif-ferential expression among the groups and specific clusters of miRNAs involved in the spring transition(miR-149,-200b,-206,-221,-328,and-615)and peak breeding period(including miR-143,-192,-451,-302b,-100,and let-7c).Bioinformatic analyses showed enrichments in various biological functions,e.g.,transcription factor activity,transcrip-tion and transcription regulation,nucleic acid binding,sequence-specific DNA binding,p53 signaling,and post-trans-lational *** analyses revealed distinct sets of significantly up-and down-regulated miRNAs associ-ated with spring anovulatory(Cluster 1)and summer ovulation–the peak breeding season(Clusters 4 and 6).Conclusions The findings from the current study shed light on the dynamics of FF-EV-coupled miRNAs in relation to equine ovulatory and anovulatory seasons,and their roles in understanding the

The rapid growth of digital data necessitates advanced natural language processing(NLP)models like BERT(Bidi-rectional Encoder Representations from Transformers),known for its superior performance in text ***,BERT’s size and computational demands limit its practicality,especially in resource-constrained *** research compresses the BERT base model for Bengali emotion classification through knowledge distillation(KD),pruning,and quantization *** Bengali being the sixth most spoken language globally,NLP research in this area is *** approach addresses this gap by creating an efficient BERT-based model for Bengali *** have explored 20 combinations for KD,quantization,and pruning,resulting in improved speedup,fewer parameters,and reduced memory *** best results demonstrate significant improvements in both speed and *** instance,in the case of mBERT,we achieved a 3.87×speedup and 4×compression ratio with a combination of Distil+Prune+Quant that reduced parameters from 178 to 46 m,while the memory size decreased from 711 to 178 *** results offer scalable solutions for NLP tasks in various languages and advance the field of model compression,making these models suitable for real-world applications in resource-limited environments.

This study was designed to test whether ultrasound can be used to diagnose nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) utilizing a *** collected 115 ultrasounds.A prototype was chosen that represented NAFLD;5 features of NAFLD prototype were *** were read blinded to diagnosis as matching prototype or not.A 20-minute teaching session was made to a group of 15 *** ultrasounds were presented for comparison to prototype with intraobserver reliability *** 20 patients shown by liver biopsy to have NAFLD,16 were successfully predicted by comparison to the prototype(sensitivity 80%) .In 94 of 95 cases,ultrasound predicted those without NAFLD(specificity 99%) .The positive predictive value was 94% and negative predictive value 96%.Training results showed substantial agreement with a kappa score of 0.76 with 95% of cases identified *** conclusion,physicians can apply a bedside ultrasound to identify NAFLD when compared to prototype.

Industrial hails are characterized with their retatively high roof-to-floor ratio, which facilitates ready deployment of renewable energy generation, such as photovoltaic （PV） systems, on the rooftop. To promote deployment of renewable energy generation, feed-in tariff （FIT） higher than the electricity rate is available in many countries to subsidize the capital investment. FIT comes in different forms. For net FIT, in order to maximize the economic benefit, surplus electridty generation at each hour is desirable. One way to achieve surplus electricity generation is by increasing generation capacity, which is synonymous to higher capital investment. In fact, surplus electricity generation can also be achieved by lowering the energy demand of the building. This particularly the case for industrial hatls, which are usually subject to high energy demand for space conditioning in order to remove the excess heat gain due to the many power-intensive processes. Building energy performance simulation toots can be used to explore the different building design options that could lower the energy demand. In this paper, single-objective optimization on investment return will be deployed to study the cost effectiveness among different options in lowering energv demand. It Will-be demonstrated with a case study of a warehouse.
