Aim The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of the two clutches on recording the condylar movement. Methodology Ten subjects （6 women,4 men; mean age 25.4 years） participated in the study. The mandibular move-ment,sagittal condylar inclination angle,and transversal condylar inclination angle of each subject were recorded with the CADIAX？ using the two clutches,respectively. The characteristics of the tracings of the protrusion,opening,and mediotrusion were analyzed with the t-test statistics at α = 0.05 level. The Kappa values were calculated for an assessment of the congruence of the tracings. Results The results showed that the contour,direction,and dimension of the tracings in the two clutches were approxi-mately same,but the tracings determined by the functional occlusal clutch were more regular and congruent. In the group segment recorded with the tray clutch,opening/ closing paths of one subject showed crossed and time curves of three subjects appeared peak-like changes of velocity,but none were statistically different （P0.05）. Conclusion The research suggests that the functional occlusal clutch should be preferred in the evaluation of the mandibular function,as the tracings with the tray clutch are more likely to produce false positive results.

Realtime trigger and localization of bursts are the key functions of GECAM,an all-sky gamma-ray monitor launched on 2020 December *** developed a multifunctional trigger and localization software operating in the CPU of the GECAM Electronic *** onboard software has the following features:high trigger efficiency for real celestial bursts with a suppression of false triggers caused by charged particle bursts and background fluctuation,dedicated localization algorithm optimized for both short and long bursts,and low time latency of the trigger information which is downlinked through the Global Short Message Communication service of the global BeiDou navigation *** paper provides a detailed description of the design and development of the trigger and localization software system for *** covers the general design,workflow,the main functions,and the algorithms used in the *** paper also includes on-ground trigger tests using simulated gamma-ray bursts generated by a dedicated X-ray tube,as well as an overview of the performance for real celestial bursts during its in-orbit operation.

A potential adsorbent based on betaine-modified magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(BMNPs) was successfully synthesized by facile method, characterized and applied for methyl blue(MB) removal from aqueous solution. The characterization results of FTIR, transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) showed that the prepared nanoparticles could be well dispersed in water and exhibited excellent superparamagnetism. These properties imply the potential to recycle BMNPs from wastewater through magnetic field. In the adsorption process, the effects of main experimental parameters such as p H of MB solution, initial concentration of MB, contact time, and adsorption capacity for MB were studied and optimized. These results demonstrated that large amounts of quaternary ammonium groups existing on the surface of BMNPs could promote absorption of MB via electrostatic forces. Additionally, the adsorption kinetics of MB was found to follow a pseudosecond-order kinetic model and the adsorption equilibrium data fitted very closely to the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacity for MB was calculated to be 136 mg g 1at room temperature. Moreover, the BMNPs showed good reusability with 73.33% MB adsorption in the5 th cycle.

What mechanism to determine microglia accomplishing destructive or constructive role in CNS remains nebulous. We report here that intracranial priming and re-challenging with T. gondii in mice elicit neurotoxic CCR9+ Irg1+(immunoresponsive gene 1) microglia, which are resistant to apoptosis and produce high level of TNF-α;priming and re-challenging with LCMV (lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus) elicit neurosupportive CX-CR3+ Irg1- microglia, which are sensitive to apoptosis and produce high level of IL-10 and TGF-β. Administration of CCR9 or/and Irgl siRNAs alters the frequency and functional profiles of neurotoxic CCR9+ Irg1+ and neurosupportive CXCR3 +Irg1- microglia in vivo. Moreover, by using a series of different neurotropic pathogens including intracellular parasites, chronic virus, bacteria, toxic substances, and CNS injury to intracranially prime and subsequent re-challenge mice, the bi-directional elicitation of microglia has been confirmed as neurotoxic CCR9+ Irg1+ and neurosupportive CXCR3+ Irg1- cells in these mouse models. These data suggest that there exist two different types of microglia, providing with a novel insight into microglial involvement in neurodegenerative and neuroinflam-matory pathogenesis such as Alzheimer s disease and AIDS dementia.

In recent years, the paradigm of real-world study （RWS） has been at the forefront oI climcal research worldwide, particularly in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. In this paper, basic features and nature of real- world clinical studies are discussed, and ethical issues in different stages of RWS are raised and reviewed. Moreover, some preliminary solutions to these issues, such as protecting subjects during the process of RWS and performing ethical review, are presented based on recent practices and basic ethical rules to improve the scientific validity and ethical level of RWS.

Traditional diagnostic strategies for infectious disease detection require benchtop instruments that are inappropriate for point-of-care testing(POCT). Emerging microfluidics, a highly miniaturized, automatic, and integrated technology,are a potential substitute for traditional methods in performing rapid, low-cost, accurate, and on-site *** diagnostics are widely used in microfluidic devices as the most effective approaches for pathogen *** review summarizes the latest advances in microfluidics-based molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases from academic perspectives and industrial outlooks. First, we introduce the typical on-chip nucleic acid processes,including sample preprocessing, amplification, and signal read-out. Then, four categories of microfluidic platforms are compared with respect to features, merits, and demerits. We further discuss application of the digital assay in absolute nucleic acid quantification. Both the classic and recent microfluidics-based commercial molecular diagnostic devices are summarized as proof of the current market status. Finally, we propose future directions for microfluidics-based infectious disease diagnosis.

柳江盆地中石炭统本溪组底部发育一套铁质鲕粒粉砂岩地层,岩性特征明显,区域上厚度稳定。依据岩石薄片和扫描电镜的观察,铁质鲕粒直径一般0.1~1.0 mm,具有边界模糊的圈层结构,圈层数3~5层,内部包裹有细小的石英粉砂颗粒。根据能谱分析结果,鲕粒内部含有Fe、Si、Al、O、K、C、Ti等元素,不同部位含量不同。综合分析,主要矿物组分有褐铁矿、赤铁矿、石英和黏土矿物。通过微量元素的分析,认为本溪组沉积早期,该地区属于相对温暖、半湿润的气候,为半封闭的还原环境海湾,水体为半咸水。该地层沉积之前,地表长期处于风化剥蚀状态,风化残积的Fe元素比较富集,再次沉降接受沉积后,被径流带入海湾后,在有机碳的参与下,C与Fe_(2)O_(3)结合,形成菱铁矿(FeCO_(3)),菱铁矿围绕水体中悬浮的细小石英颗粒层层凝聚,随着颗粒的逐渐增大而沉淀到海底。菱铁矿不稳定,在成岩过程中分解成Fe_(3)O_(4),并进一步发生氧化作用,最终转化为褐铁矿[FeO(OH)·H_(2)O]。在后期异常干旱炎热的条件下,菱铁矿也极易氧化成赤铁矿,因此就出现了铁质鲕粒中褐铁矿和赤铁矿共存的局面。

BACKGROUNDPolycythemia vera (PV) is a chronic myeloproliferative disorder characterized byan increase in red blood cells in the peripheral blood. Previous work has reportedthe occurrence of thrombosis or hemorrhage arising in the cerebral vasculaturesecondary to PV. However, hemorrhagic transformation after PV-associated acuteischemic stroke has not been previously *** SUMMARYWe herein present two cases of PV where hemorrhagic transformation occurredafter an acute ischemic stroke. Case 1 was a 57-year-old woman with a history ofhypertension who was admitted for left-sided weakness. Case 2 was a 68-year-oldman who was admitted for a 10-d sudden left arm weakness. Imaging examinationsfor the two patients revealed hemorrhagic transformation after acuteischemic stroke. Both patients had JAK-2-V617F mutation and receivedantiplatelet therapy. Both of them had a good prognosis during the *** report suggested that hemorrhagic transformation may occur in acuteischemic stroke caused by PV. Antiplatelet drugs do not seem to influence thelong-term outcomes in such patients. Future research should focus on establishinga standard antiplatelet treatment strategy for this condition.
