The Article follows the trail of Max Weber's comprehensive sociology and uses the hermeneutic and iconological analysis methods applied to significant contemporary plastic art works(painting and sculpture)which are representative of modern and late modern *** from these theoretical and methodological bases,it pursues three specific objectives:(a)to analyze the construction of Time in plastic art,(b)to verify how this theme has evolved in artistic practices from the first modernity to the second and(c)to verify the way in which the complementary visual language the conceptual of contemporary sociological *** this regard,our paper provides evidence that the selected works prioritize a kind of temporality determined by the logic of capitalist industrial *** likewise becomes obvious that time—focused on an accelerated and instantaneous omnipresent—lacks both an origin and a telos\it has neither a past nor a future and,in parallel,a gap has opened between the time of natural life and the artificial one,as well as between space and time,which is only transiently bridged at the imaginary level of ***,the experience of time has been emptied,in such a way that the latter has lost some of its solidity and让s sense of permanence,while the contingent,the fleeting and the ephemeral now occupy in its place.

The main contribution of this paper is the design of an event-triggered formation control for leader-following consensus in second-order multi-agent systems(MASs)under communication *** the agents must follow the trajectories of a virtual leader despite communication faults considered as smooth time-varying delays dependent on the distance between the *** matrix inequalities(LMIs)-based conditions are obtained to synthesize a controller gain that guarantees stability of the synchronization *** on the closed-loop system,an event-triggered mechanism is designed to reduce the control law update and information exchange in order to reduce energy *** proposed approach is implemented in a real platform of a fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)under communication faults.A comparison between a state-of-the-art technique and the proposed technique has been provided,demonstrating the performance improvement brought by the proposed approach.

Background:The prediction of biogeographical patterns from a large number of driving factors with complex interactions,correlations and non-linear dependences require advanced analytical methods and modeling *** study compares different statistical and machine learning-based models for predicting fungal productivity biogeographical patterns as a case study for the thorough assessment of the performance of alternative modeling approaches to provide accurate and ecologically-consistent ***:We evaluated and compared the performance of two statistical modeling techniques,namely,generalized linear mixed models and geographically weighted regression,and four techniques based on different machine learning algorithms,namely,random forest,extreme gradient boosting,support vector machine and artificial neural network to predict fungal *** evaluation was conducted using a systematic methodology combining random,spatial and environmental blocking together with the assessment of the ecological consistency of spatially-explicit model predictions according to scientific ***:Fungal productivity predictions were sensitive to the modeling approach and the number of predictors ***,the importance assigned to different predictors varied between machine learning modeling *** tree-based models increased prediction accuracy by more than 10%compared to other machine learning approaches,and by more than 20%compared to statistical models,and resulted in higher ecological consistence of the predicted biogeographical patterns of fungal ***:Decision tree-based models were the best approach for prediction both in sampling-like environments as well as in extrapolation beyond the spatial and climatic range of the modeling *** this study,we show that proper variable selection is crucial to create robust models for extrapolation in biophysically differentiated *** allows for reducing the dime

In recent years,there has been a growing interest in exploring alternative treatments for bone *** tissue engineering has turned its attention to plant extracts containing osteogenic flavonoids as potential promoters of bone *** our study,we specifically investigated the extract of Petroselinum crispum,a plant known for its abundance of osteogenic flavonoids such as apigenin,quercetin,and *** objective was to compare the total flavonoid content(TFc)and their accumulation in different *** obtained hydrolyzed aqueous extracts from the leaves of parsley plants(grown for 12 weeks in the field),weekly embryogenic cultures,and suspension cell *** TFc,measured in mg quercetin equivalent per gram of dry weight(QE mg/g dw),was found to be 53.81±0.97 for 52 g dw of leaves(1 kg plant fw),31.10±1.52 for 420 g dw of embryogenic cultures,and 11.80±0.76 for 210 g dw of cell ***,only the leaves and embryogenic cultures showed significant accumulation of osteogenic flavonoids,with apigenin levels of 1.8±0.3 and 0.32±0.02 mg/g dw,and kaempferol levels of 1.0±0.18 and 0.2±0.01 mg/g dw,*** findings indicate that embryogenic cultures have the potential to produce up to 40%more apigenin in 12 weeks compared to 1 kg of parsley plant,thanks to their superior biomass reproductive *** results present a promising biotechnological approach for generating extracts enriched with bioactive compounds,which can be further utilized in in vitro osteogenic testing.

Plate tectonics is driven by Earth-Moon barycentre shifts in the lower mantle. The eastern canary Islands have geographic and geological conditions derived from the movements of the central American plates. Some features of these islands are influenced by the rotation of the Earth from west to east in the evolution of the marine currents that surround them and the opening of the North Atlantic to the North Pole with little dependence of the glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA). In addition, their position with respect to the Tropic of cancer and the African continent affect the north-south and east-west climatic change dynamics and their tectonic stability respectively. Dated lavas contain marine and aeolian deposits and some of the Pleistocene marine deposits indicate higher sea level in cooler circumstances, which is anomalous. Relating those marine deposits produced during the warmest interglacial, the last interglacial and the Holocene with their equivalents in the Southern Hemisphere, they reflect shifts in the barycentre. Thanks to Holocene radiocarbon, topographic and day length data and alkenone temperature, we describe a mechanism by which the oscillation of the Moon’s inclination (and declination) reaches extreme values (14ºand 34ºabout 4.9ºmore than current values) approximately every 1450 years. These values occur when there is a harmonic distortion in surface areas of the Earth’s crust as response associated with oscillations in the displacements of the barycentre of the Earth-Moon system. As the declination influences the movement of oceanic waters, there is also a relationship with the Bond Events of the North Atlantic, of unknown cause until now.

Fouling phenomenon is considered among the major reasons that cause significant increase of operating cost of desalination plants equipped with reverse osmosis(RO)*** phenomenon is studied in the present work in the case of RO polyamide aromatic membranes using model seawater containing inorganic salts and colloidal *** solubility conditions of cacO3 and caSO4 were applied to study RO performances with and without colloid *** experiments,the membrane permeate fluxes were continuously ***,studies of chemical composition,structure,and morphology of the materials deposited on the membrane surface were conducted using energy dispersive microanalysis(EDS)X-ray diffraction and scanning electronic microscopy(SEM).Results show that in conditions of calcium carbonate oversaturation there is a reduction in the permeate flow of 11.2%due to fouling of the membrane by the precipitation of this *** in the same conditions of calcium sulphate oversaturation the reduction of the flow is 5%,so we can conclude that in conditions of oversaturation of both salts,calcium carbonate produces a greater fouling of the membrane that in its view causes greater decrease in the flow of *** this based on the results of the test with both salts in oversaturated *** in the formation of calcite and gypsum crystals onto the membranes as XRD analyses *** presence of colloidal silica in those conditions intensifies strongly the fouling,leading until to 24.1%of permeate flux decrease.

Some Mathematical and Physical Remarks on Surreal Numbers

We make a number of observations on conway surreal number theory which may be useful, for further developments, in both mathematics and theoretical physics. In particular, we argue that the concepts of surreal numbers and matroids can be linked. Moreover, we established a relation between the Gonshor approach on surreal numbers and tensors. We also comment about the possibility to connect surreal numbers with supersymmetry. In addition, we comment about possible relation between surreal numbers and fractal theory. Finally, we argue that the surreal structure may provide a different mathematical tool in the understanding of singularities in both high energy physics and gravitation.

In a computer environment,an operating system is prone to malware,and even the Linux operating system is not an *** recent years,malware has evolved,and attackers have become more qualified compared to a few years ***,Linux-based systems have become more attractive to cybercriminals because of the increasing use of the Linux operating system in web servers and Internet of Things(IoT)*** is the most employed OS,so most of the research efforts have been focused on its malware protection rather than on other operating *** a result,hundreds of research articles,documents,and methodologies dedicated to malware analysis have been ***,there has not been much literature concerning Linux security and protection from *** address all these new challenges,it is necessary to develop a methodology that can standardize the required steps to perform the malware analysis in depth.A systematic analysis process makes the difference between good and ordinary malware ***,a deep malware comprehension can yield a faster and much more efficient malware *** order to address all mentioned challenges,this article proposed a methodology for malware analysis in the Linux operating system,which is a traditionally overlooked field compared to the other operating *** proposed methodology is tested by a specific Linux malware,and the obtained test results have high effectiveness in malware detection.
