Acceleration of 60 MeV proton beams in the commissioning experiment of the SULF-10 PW laser

We report the experimental results of the commissioning phase in the 10 PW laser beamline of the Shanghai Superintense Ultrafast Laser Facility(SULF).The peak power reaches 2.4 PW on target without the last amplifying during the *** laser energy of 72±9 J is directed to a focal spot of approximately 6μm diameter(full width at half maximum)in 30 fs pulse duration,yielding a focused peak intensity around 2.0×10^(21)W/cm^(2).The first laser-proton acceleration experiment is performed using plain copper and plastic ***-energy proton beams with maximum cut-off energy up to 62.5 MeV are achieved using copper foils at the optimum target thickness of 4μm via target normal sheath *** plastic targets of tens of nanometers thick,the proton cut-off energy is approximately 20 MeV,showing ring-like or flamented density *** experimental results reflect the capabilities of the SULF-10 PW beamline,for example,both ultrahigh intensity and relatively good beam *** optimization for these key parameters is underway,where peak laser intensities of 10^(22)-10^(23)w/cm^(2)are anticipated to support various experiments on extreme field physics.

Numerical investigation of non-uniform temperature fields for proppant and fluid phases in supercritical CO_(2)fracturing

The non-uniform temperature distribution in supercritical CO_(2)(Sc-CO_(2))fracturing influences the density,viscosity,and volume expansion or shrinkage rate of Sc-CO_(2),impacting proppant *** study presents a coupled computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method and heat transfer model to examine the effects of proppant bed shape and the heat transfers of proppant-wall,proppant-fluid,and fluid-wall on the fluid and proppant temperature *** Sc-CO_(2)volume expansion is assessed under various temperature conditions by evaluating the volume-averaged Sc-CO_(2)*** factors,including proppant size,shape,thermal conductivity,concentration,temperature difference,and injection velocity,are carefully analyzed to elucidate their *** findings elucidate the existence of four distinct zones in the fluid temperature *** zone exhibits different magnitudes of temperature change under diverse conditions and undergoes dynamic transformations with the development of the proppant *** fluid-wall heat transfer and the fluid temperatures in Zones C and D are significantly subject to the fluid injection velocity(governing the heating duration),the temperature difference between fluid and formation(impacting the magnitude of heat flux),and the proppant bed shape(controlling the effective heating area).Additionally,the proppant-wall and proppant-fluid heat transfers determine the temperatures of both the proppant bed and the fluid within Zone b,showing a strong correlation with proppant thermal conductivity,proppant size,injection velocity,and temperature *** proposed coupled model provides valuable insights into the temperature distributions and flow behaviors of temperature-dependent fracturing fluids and proppants.

Numerical Simulation of the Settling Flux of biodeposition in a bay with Cage Culture Through Similarity Theory and a Simplified Pollution Source

The settling flux of biodeposition affects the environmental quality of cage culture areas and determines their environmental carrying *** and effective simulation of the settling flux of biodeposition is extremely important for determining the spatial distribution of ***,biodeposition in cage culture areas without specific emission rules can be simplified as point source *** is a fluid simulation software that can simulate the dispersion of particulate matter simply and *** on the simplification of pollution sources and bays,the settling flux of biodeposition can be easily and effectively simulated by Fluent fluid *** the present work,the feasibility of this method was evaluated by simulation of the settling flux of biodeposition in Maniao bay,Hainan Province,China,and 20 sampling sites were selected for determining the settling *** sampling sites P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4,A1,A2,A3,A4,b1,b2,C1,C2,C3 and C4,the measured settling fluxes of biodeposition were 26.02,15.78,10.77,58.16,6.57,72.17,12.37,12.11,106.64,150.96,22.59,11.41,18.03,7.90,19.23,7.06,11.84,5.19 and 2.57 g d^(−1)m^(−2),*** simulated settling fluxes of biodeposition at the corresponding sites were 16.03,23.98,8.87,46.90,4.52,104.77,16.03,8.35,180.83,213.06,39.10,17.47,20.98,9.78,23.25,7.84,15.90,6.06 and 1.65 g d^(−1)m^(−2),*** was a positive correlation between the simulated settling fluxes and measured ones(R=0.94,P=2.22×10^(−9)biodeposition flux was well ***,the posterior difference ratio of the simulation was 0.38,and the small error probability was 0.94,which means that the simulated results reached an acceptable level from the perspective of relative ***,if nonpoint source pollution is simplified to point source pollution and open waters are simplified based on similarity theory,the setting flux of biodeposition i

On hypersurfaces of H2×H2

In this paper, we study hypersurfaces of H2× H2. We first classify the hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures and constant product angle functions. Then we classify homogeneous hypersurfaces and isoparametric hypersurfaces, respectively. Finally, we classify the hypersurfaces with at most two distinct constant principal curvatures, as well as those with three distinct constant principal curvatures under some additional conditions.

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of Shell-Matrix-Protein Genes and Observation of the Shell Microstructure in the Deep-Sea Clam Calyptogena marissinica

The deep-sea clam Calyptogena marissinica is widely distributed in the Haima cold seep ecosystem on the northwes-tern slope of the South China Sea with low pH values,low temperature and high *** information is available on the biomineralization of this *** this research,we generated a comprehensive transcript dataset of ***’s mantle tissue,and a total of 19821 unigenes were *** shell matrix proteins(SMP)-related genes were *** qPCR results showed that four out of six prismatic matrix genes(MSP2,MSP5,prisilkin-39,and shematrin),four out of the six nacreous matrix genes(perlucin,pif,pif97,and papilin),and two extrapallial fluid proteins(SPARC and calmodulin)were significantly expressed in the *** the nacreous and the prismatic layers are chrysanthemum-shaped,which are stacked on the top of each other to form a laminated nacreous *** alignment and phylogenetic analysis of MSP-5,Prisilkin-39,Perlucin,and Pif homologues showed that some amino acids of *** that differed from those detected in other molluscs may cause the different shape of the nacreous and prismatic layers,but do not lead to a change in the species’evolutionary *** results indicated the conservation of the functions of SMP-related genes in ***,and the specific shape of the prismatic and nacreous layers of this deep-sea mollusc,which will contribute to the research on the molecular regulation mechanisms of biomineralization in *** and provide a new perspective to investigate biomineralization in deep-sea clams in general.

Estimation of the anisotropy of hydraulic conductivity through 3D fracture networks using the directional geological entropy

With an extension of the geological entropy concept in porous media,the approach called directional entrogram is applied to link hydraulic behavior to the anisotropy of the 3D fracture networks.A metric called directional entropic scale is used to measure the anisotropy of spatial order in different *** with the traditional connectivity indexes based on the statistics of fracture geometry,the directional entropic scale is capable to quantify the anisotropy of connectivity and hydraulic conductivity in heterogeneous 3D fracture *** to the numerical analysis of directional entrogram and fluid flow in a number of the 3D fracture networks,the hydraulic conductivities and entropic scales in different directions both increase with spatial order(i.e.,trace length decreasing and spacing increasing)and are independent of the dip *** a result,the nonlinear correlation between the hydraulic conductivities and entropic scales from different directions can be unified as quadratic polynomial function,which can shed light on the anisotropic effect of spatial order and global entropy on the heterogeneous hydraulic behaviors.
