Using inclusive decays of J/ψ aprecise determination of the number of J/ψ events collected with the bESIII detector was *** the two data sets taken in 2009 and 2012,the numbers of J/ψ events were recalculated to be(224.0±1.3)×10^(6) and(1088.5±4.4)×10^(6),respectively;these numbers are in good agreement with the previous measurements. For the J/ψ sample taken in 2017-2019,the number of events was determined to be(8774.0±39.4)×10^(6).The total number of J/ψ events collected with the bESIII detector was determined to be(10087±44)×10^(6),where the uncertainty is dominated by systematic effects,and the statistical uncertainty is negligible.

Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode ***,rutile TiNbO_(4-x) nanoparticles with a tunnel structure are employed as multifunctional decoration substances in combination with a carbon coating layer to improve the rate and cycle properties of mesocarbon microbeads(MCMbs).As compared to pristine MCMb,the Li^(+)diffusion coefficients of the composite anodes are enhanced due to the synergistic effect of TiNbO_(4-x)@***,the overcharge and voltage polarization of the composite anodes at high rate are obviously minimized due to the current sharing effect of the high-potential TiNbO_(4-x).Moreover,the amorphous Li_(y)TiNbO_(4-x) converted from TiNbO_(4-x) in the initial lithiation process can deliver pseudocapacitive capacity to the composite anodes from the second *** of these functions of TiNbO_(4-x)@Ccoating layer have directly contributed to the improved rate and cycle performance of the MCMb/TiNbO_(4-x)@C composite *** one containing 12.0 wt%TiNbO_(4-x) exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 118 m Ah·g^(-1)at 10C(1C=372 m A·g^(-1)),together with a high capacity retention of 90.9%after 300 cycles at 3C,which are all much superior to those of pristine MCMb.

More tree growth reduction due to consecutive drought and its legacy effect for a semiarid larch plantation in Northwest China

Extreme climate has increasingly led to negative impacts on forest ecosystems globally,especially in semiarid areas where forest ecosystems are more ***,it is poorly understood how tree growth is affected by different drought *** 2006–2009,the larch plantations in the semiarid areas of Northwest China were negatively affected by four consecutive dry years,which was a very rare phenomenon that may occur frequently under future climate *** this study,we analyzed the effect of these consecutive dry years on tree growth based on the data of the tree rings in the dominant layer of the forest canopy on a larch *** found that the tree-ring width index(RWI)in dry years was lower than that in normal years,and it experienced a rapidly decreasing trend from 2006 to 2009(slope=-0.139 year^(-1),r=-0.94)due to water supply deficits in those dry *** induced legacy effects of tree growth reduction,and consecutive dry years corresponded with greater growth reductions and legacy *** reductions and legacy effects were significantly stronger in the third and fourth consecutive dry years than that of single dry year(pbeen due to the cumulative stress caused by consecutive dry *** results showed that larch trees experienced greater tree growth reduction due to consecutive dry years and their legacy effect,and the trees had lower recovery rates after consecutive dry *** results highlight that consecutive dry years pose a new threat to plantations under climate warming,and thus,the effect of climate extremes on tree growth should be considered in growth models in semiarid areas.

Microstructure recognition of steels by machine learning based on visual attention mechanism

U-Net has achieved good performance with the small-scale datasets through skip connections to merge the features of the low-level layers and high-level layers and has been widely utilized in biomedical image segmentation as well as recent microstructure image segregation of the *** representative visual attention mechanism modules,named as squeeze-and-excitation networks,convolutional block attention module,and extended calibration algorithm,were intro-duced into the traditional U-Net architecture to further improve the prediction *** is found that compared with the original U-Net architecture,the evaluation index of the improved U-Net architecture has been significantly improved for the microstructure segmentation of the steels with the ferrite/martensite composite microstructure and pearlite/ferrite composite microstructure and the complex martensite/austenite island/bainite microstructure,which demonstrates the advantages of the utilization of the visual attention mechanism in the microstructure *** reasons for the accuracy improvement were discussed based on the feature maps analysis.

Spinal cord injury(SCI)is one of the most devastating traumas,and the aberrant proliferation of astrocytes usually causes neurological ***,the mechanism underlying astrocyte over-proliferation after SCI is ***2c(glutamate ionotropic receptor type 2c)plays an essential role in cell *** bioinformatic analysis indicated that Grin2c and Ca^(2+)transport functions were inhibited in astrocytes after *** of Grin2c stimulated astrocyte proliferation by inhibiting the Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase 2b(CaMK2b)pathway in *** screening different inflammatory factors,interleukin 1α(IL1α)was further found to inhibit Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b and enhance astrocyte proliferation in an oxidative damage *** of IL1αusing neutralizing antibody resulted in increased Grin2c expression and the inhibition of astrocyte proliferation ***,this study suggests that IL1αpromotes astrocyte proliferation by suppressing the Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b pathway after SCI,revealing a novel pathological mechanism of astrocyte proliferation,and may provide potential targets for SCI repair.

An experimental study on effects of temperature gradient on microstructure of a 308L stainless steel manufactured by directed energy deposition

The effect of spatial temperature gradient on the microstructural evolution of a 308L stainless steel during the directed energy deposition(DED)process was experimentally investigated.A novel cooling system was designed and incorporated to a DED system in order to control the temperature gradient along the deposition direction during *** deposition,the workpiece was placed on a lifting platform,and as the deposition process proceeded,the platform and workpiece were gradually lowered into cooling water so that the temperature gradient along the deposition direction could be controlled and maintained stable during the deposition *** microstructure characterization results indicated that a deposition strategy with higher G and G/R values(where G is temperature gradient and R is solidification rate)produced finer cellular grains that were better aligned with the deposition direction,while a deposition strategy with lower G and G/R values produced columnar grains with larger primary arm spacing and less aligned with the deposition direction.

Type I interferon pathway in pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus

background The role of type I interferon(IFN-I)signaling in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)has been well ***,unanswered questions remain regarding the applicability of these findings to pediatric-onset *** aim of this review is to provide an overview of the novel discoveries on IFN-I signaling in pediatric-onset *** sources A literature search was conducted in the PubMed database using the following keywords:“pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus”and“type I interferon”.Results IFN-I signaling is increased in pediatric SLE,largely due to the presence of plasmacytoid dendritic cells and pathways such as cyclic GMP-AMP synthase–stimulator of interferon genes–TANK-binding kinase 1 and Toll-like receptor(TLR)4/*** extracellular traps and oxidative DNA damage further stimulate IFN-I *** variants in IFN-I-related genes,such as IFN-regulatory factor 5 and tyrosine kinase 2,are linked to SLE susceptibility in pediatric *** addition,type I interferonopathies,characterized by sustained IFN-I activation,can mimic SLE symptoms and are thus important to *** on interferonopathies also contribute to exploring the pathogenesis of *** IFN-I activation is crucial for SLE diagnosis and *** IFNstimulated gene expression and serum IFN-α2 levels are common *** cytometry markers such as CD169 and galectin-9 are promising ***-IFN therapies,such as sifalimumab and anifrolumab,show promise in adult patients with SLE,but their efficacy in pediatric patients requires further *** kinase inhibitors are another treatment option for severe pediatric SLE *** This review presents an overview of the IFN-I pathway in pediatric *** the intricate relationship between IFN-I and pediatric SLE may help to identify potential diagnostic markers and targeted therapies,paving the way for improved patient care and outcomes.

In actual physiological environments,bacteria can activate the immune system and release lactic ***,the detailed contribution of lactic acid to the passivation behavior of titanium(Ti)alloys is still *** current work investigated the in vitro passivation behavior of Ti-6Al-4V(TC4)alloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion in Hank's solution with and without adding lactic *** methods,inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer,and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were jointly *** lactic acid decreases the corrosion resistance of samples by degrading the formed passive *** film formed in the(lactic acid)-containing solution exhibits a higher level of oxygen vacancies and a lower thickness,attributed to the suppressed formation of Ti^(4+)transformed from Ti^(3+)and Ti^(2+).Moreover,the presence of lactic acid would increase the open circuit potential,relieve the ions release,and hinder the deposition of calcium phosphates within 24 h immersion.
