The synthesis of MnO2 powders by hydrothermal method with different oxidizing agents has been successfully achieved. The characterizations by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray analyses, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction techniques confirm the synthesis of nanostructured γ-MnO2 powders. The electrochemical reactivity of these powders in 1 mol/l KOH is investigated by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） by using microcavity electrode. The results reveal that the MnO2 synthesized with Na2S2O8 shows the highest electrochemical reactivity in the test medium. This is due both to its large expanded surface area and its crystallographic variety γ-MnO2 formed in the matrix of ramsdellite, which is largely used as cathodic material for primary batteries. However, the presence of pyrolusite in the structure of γ-MnO2 synthesized with （NH4）2S2O8 decreases its electrochemical reactivity due to its narrow 1×1 size tunnel, which hinders the protons insertion.

The increasing use of cloud-based devices has reached the critical point of cybersecurity and unwanted network *** environments pose significant challenges in maintaining privacy and *** approaches,such as IDS,have been developed to tackle these ***,most conventional Intrusion Detection System(IDS)models struggle with unseen cyberattacks and complex high-dimensional *** fact,this paper introduces the idea of a novel distributed explainable and heterogeneous transformer-based intrusion detection system,named INTRUMER,which offers balanced accuracy,reliability,and security in cloud settings bymultiplemodulesworking together within *** traffic captured from cloud devices is first passed to the TC&TM module in which the Falcon Optimization Algorithm optimizes the feature selection process,and Naie bayes algorithm performs the classification of *** selected features are classified further and are forwarded to the Heterogeneous Attention Transformer(HAT)*** this module,the contextual interactions of the network traffic are taken into account to classify them as normal or malicious *** classified results are further analyzed by the Explainable Prevention Module(XPM)to ensure trustworthiness by providing interpretable *** the explanations fromthe classifier,emergency alarms are transmitted to nearby IDSmodules,servers,and underlying cloud devices for the enhancement of preventive *** experiments on benchmark IDS datasets CICIDS 2017,Honeypots,and NSL-KDD were conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the INTRUMER model in detecting network trafficwith high accuracy for different *** outperforms state-of-the-art approaches,obtaining better performance metrics:98.7%accuracy,97.5%precision,96.3%recall,and 97.8%*** results validate the robustness and effectiveness of INTRUMER in securing diverse cloud environments against sophisticated cyber threats.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of television advertising,optimizing ad schedules to maximize viewer engagement and revenue has become *** methods often operate in silos,limiting the potential insights gained from broader data analysis due to concerns over privacy and data *** article introduces a novel approach that leverages Federated Learning(FL)to enhance TV ad schedule optimization,combining the strengths of local optimization techniques with the power of global Machine Learning(ML)models to uncover actionable insights without compromising data *** combines linear programming for initial ads scheduling optimization with ML—specifically,a K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)model—for predicting ad spot *** into account the diversity and the difficulty of the ad-scheduling problem,we propose a prescriptivepredictive approach in which first the position of the ads is optimized(using Google’s OR-Tools CP-SAT)and then the scheduled position of all ads will be the result of the optimization ***,this output becomes the target of a predictive task that predicts the position of new entries based on their characteristics ensuring the implementation of the scheduling at large scale(using KNN,Light Gradient boosting Machine and Random Forest).Furthermore,we explore the integration of FL to enhance predictive accuracy and strategic insight across different broadcasting networks while preserving data *** FL approach resulted in 8750 ads being precisely matched to their optimal category placements,showcasing an alignment with the intended diversity ***,there was a minimal deviation observed,with 1133 ads positioned within a one-category variance from their ideal placement in the original dataset.

A series of the Gd5.1Si2Ge2-xbx,alloys were prepared with arc melting in purified argon *** effect of b addition on the magnetocaloric effect of compound Gd5Si2Ge2was investigated by powder X-ray diffraction technology and DSC and direct magnetocaloric effect apparatus and vibrating sample magnetometer（VSM）.The results show that the addition of a small amount of b maintains the Gd5Si2Ge2compound in single monoclinic phase with superior magnetocaloric effect,especially when x=0.01,the maximum magnetic entropy change（|△SM|） reaches the values of 13.7 J/（kg·K） at 288 *** 1.5 T magnetic *** the increase of b content,some orthorhombic Gd5Si4-type phases appear in the matrix of monoclinic Gd5Si2Ge2-type phase in Gd5.1Si2-xGe2bxalloys.

Thermochemical Evaluation of Combustion Synthesis of Al_2O_3/b_4C Composite

The equilibrium phase and adiabatic temperature for combustion synthesis of Al_2O_3/b_4C employing Al, b_2O_3 and C as starting materials is analyzed by both conventional and CALPHAD method. The adiabatic temperature calculed by CALPHAD method is significantly lower than that obtained by conventional method. The CALPHAD calculation also reveals that the equilibrium phases presented at the adiabatic temperature are different to the desired composites. The adiabatic temperature in this system can be lowered by introducing Al_2O_3 as diluents. The maximum amount of Al_2O_3 that can be added to the system while maintain a self-sustaining combusion mode is 1.3 mol.

In order to investigate the mechanisms of enhanced UV-b radiation on algae, the effects of UV-b radiation on the physiological and ultrastructural changes of Chlorella sp. were examined. The results showed that UV-b radiation could inhibit the growth and photosynthesis of microalgae. UV-b radiation at lower doses increased the photosynthetic pigment (chlorophyll a (Chla) and carotenoid (Car)) contents, while at higher doses of UV-b radiation Chla and Car contents were decreased. The ultrastructure of Chlorella sp. without exposure to UV-b showed that the thylakoid lamellae were clear and regular, the stroma of its chloroplast was apparent and clear. The globules with photosynthetic pigments and the cristae of mitochondria were clearly seen. After exposure to UV-b radiation at dose of 2.88 kJ/m2, the thylakoid lamellae of Chlorella sp. were lost and dissolved, the globules which contained photosynthetic pigments in chloroplast were bleached; some mitochondria cristae were dissolved; slight plasmolysis was found in some Chlorella sp. cells. After exposure to 5.76 kJ/m2 UV-b radiation, the thylakoid was in disarray and disintegration, plasmolysis was found in most cells, and the cell wall was broken and began to fall out. Many blank areas were observed in cells, mitochondria were seriously deformed and most of the mitochondria cristae were dissolved. Also, globules containing photosynthetic pigments in chloroplast were bleached and some empty globules were found in chloroplast. Therefore, UV-b radiation could damage cell structure of Chlorella sp., and this damage increased with the dose of UV-b radiation they exposed to.
