Genetic diversity provides the foundation for plant breeding and genetic *** 3000 rice genomes were recently sequenced as part of the 3K Rice Genome(3KRG)*** added four additional Indian rice accessions to create a panel of 3004 ***,such a large collection of germplasm is difficult to preserve and *** construction of core and mini-core collections is an efficient method for the management of genetic *** this study,we developed a mini-core comprising 520 accessions that captured most of the SNPs and represented all of the phenotypes and geographic regions from the original *** mini-core was validated using different statistical analyses and contained representatives from all major rice groups,including japonica,indica,aus/boro,and aromatic/*** association analyses of the mini-core panel efficiently reproduced the marker–trait associations identified in the original *** analysis validated the utility of the mini-core *** the current era with many ongoing large-scale sequencing projects,such a strategy for mini-core design should be useful in many *** rice mini-core collection developed in this study would be valuable for agronomic trait evaluation and useful for rice improvement via marker-assisted molecular breeding.

The reflection and refraction of a longitudinal wave at an interface between a perfectly conducting nonviscous liquid half-space and a perfectly conducting microstretch elastic solid half-space are studied. The appropriate solutions to the governing equations are obtained in both the half-spaces satisfying the required boundary conditions at the interface to obtain a system of five non-homogeneous equations in the amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves. The system is solved by a Fortran program of the Gauss elimination method for a particular example of an interface between water and aluminum-epoxy composite. Numerical values of the amplitude ratios are computed for a certain range of the incidence angle both in the presence and absence of an impressed transverse magnetic field. The effects of the presence of the transverse magnetic field on the amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves are shown graphically.

Three ethylene diurea （EDU） concentrations （0, 150 and 300 mg/L） were used to evaluate the negative impact of ozone （O3） on two cultivars of Trifoliurn repens L. cv. Vardan and bundel grown under natural field conditions in a suburban area of Varanasi, India. mean O3 concentrations varied from 30.3 to 46.6 μg/L during the experimental period. Higher photosynthetic pigments and ascorhic acid concentrations were noticed in both EDU-treated cultivars over non-EDU-treated ones, but a reverse trend was found for lipid peroxidation. Growth parameters and biomass also showed increments under EDU treatment of both cultivars. The ratio of variable fluorescence to maximum fluorescence increased significantly in Vardan but not in bundel upon EDU treatment. Results revealed that EDU concentration of 300 mg/L was more effective to combat the oxidative stress as well as protecting plants from O3 injury symptoms. The test cultivar Vardan is relatively sensitive to O3, thereby can be used as a bioindicator of O3 pollution in areas having higher O3 concentrations. Results also indicated that bundel has more efficient antioxidant defense system than Vardan and hence was more tolerant to O3 stress.

The design of a handheld capnography device is in great demand because of its effective and practical uses in all cardiac arrest resuscitations,according to the recommendation of the American Heart ***,a handheld capnography device that can be used in clinical settings and the home environment is *** proposed device was developed by using an infrared CO_(2)sensor,Arduino mega2560,and a high-resolution display(2.8").Furthermore,two rechargeable batteries(7.6 V,0.99 A)and a secure digital card with a capacity of 16 Gb were incorporated to increase the portability and usability of the *** were implemented to measure standard features,namely,inspired CO_(2)(ICO_(2)),end-tidal CO_(2)(EtCO_(2)),and re-spiratory rate(RR).The features of 15 healthy subjects were recorded by using the developed prototype and the standard capnography device(Capnostream^(Tm)20 model CS08798).Validation was performed with bland-Altman *** revealed that mean differences±standard deviations for the set limits of ICO_(2),EtCO_(2)and RR were 0.29±1.30 millimeters of mercury(mmHg),0.15±1.77 mmHg and 0.40±0.97 breaths per minute(bpm),*** of the differences among device measurements across all features fell within the 95%limits of ***,the developed device may help manage respiratory distress conditions in and outside of a hospital setting.

The Paleogene succession of the Himalayan foreland basin is immensely important as it preserves evidence of India-Asia collision and related records of the Himalayan *** this paper,the depositional regime of the Paleogene succession of the Himalayan foreland basin and variations in composition of the hinterland at different stages of the basin developments are *** Paleogene succession of the western Himalayan foreland basin developed in two stages,*** stage and post-collisional *** the onset,chert breccia containing fragments derived from the hanging walls of faults and reworked bauxite developed as a result of erosion of the forebulge. The overlying early Eocene succession possibly deposited in a coastal system,where carbonates represent barriers and shales represent ***-section,the middle Eocene marl beds likely deposited on a tidal *** late Eocene/Oligocene basal murree beds,containing tidal bundles,indicate that a mixed or semi-diurnal tidal system deposited the sediments and the sedimentation took place in a tidedominated *** the higher-up,the succession likely deposited in a river-dominated estuary or in meandering *** the beginning of the basin evolution,the sediments were derived from the Precambrian basement or from the metasediments/volcanic rocks possessing terrains of the *** early and middle Eocene（54.7-41.3 ma） succession of the embryonic foreland possibly developed from the sediments derived from the Trans-Himalayan schists and phyllites and Indus ophiolite of the north during syn-collisional *** detrital minerals especially the lithic fragments and the heavy minerals suggest the provenance for the late Eocene/Oligocene sequences to be from the recycled orogenic belt of the Higher Himalaya,Tethyan Himalaya and the Indus-suture zone from the north during post-collisional *** is also supported by the paleocurrent measurements those suggest main flows directed towards sou
