The anticancer activity of stevenleaf(SV)on the basis of cell viability,cell cycle,and apoptosis induction in HepG2 cancer cells were *** controlled the growth of HepG2 cells with IC50 of 139.82μmol/L for 24 h,IC50 of 119.12μmol/L for 48 h and cell cycle arrested at G0/G1 phase,induced cell apoptosis and enhanced intracellular rOS *** cell cycle arrest,the mrNA expression levels of p21,p27 and p53 were up-regulated,while the expression levels of Cyclin A,Cyclin D1,Cyclin E and CDK1/2 were *** efficiently up-regulated TNF r1,TrADD1 and FADD and down-regulated Caspase8 for cell death receptors;similarly,up-regulated bax,bak,Cytc,Apaf1,Caspase3 and Caspase9,and down-regulated bcl2,bcl xl and bad for mitochondrial signal *** induced the mTOr-mediated cell apoptosis in HepG2 cells via activation of Akt and *** mechanistic explanation for the anticancer activity of SV as functional food can be derived from above results.

Aim： To determine if Yq microdeletion frequency and loci of deletion are similar in two tissues （blood and sperm） of different embryological origin. methods： The present study included 52 infertile oligozoospermic cases. In each case, DNA was isolated from blood and sperms and polymerase chain reaction （PCr） microdeletion analysis was done from genomic DNA isolated from both the tissues. The PCr products were analyzed on a 1.8% agarose gel. PCr amplifications found to be negative were repeated at least three times to confirm the deletion of a given marker. results： Only 1 case harbored microdeletion in blood DNA, whereas 4 cases harbored microdeletion in sperm DNA. Conclusion： The frequency of Yq microdeletions is higher in germ cells as compared to blood. As the majority of infertile couples opt for assisted reproduction procreation techniques （ArT）, Yq microdeletion screening from germ cells is important to understand the genetic basis of infertility, to provide comprehensive counseling and most adapted therapeutics to the infertile couple.

The present study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of blended rice bran and olive oil on hyperlipidemic subjects. A total of 60 moderately hyperlipidemic patients (Total Cholesterol (TC) >200 mg/dl and/or Triglycerides (TG) >150 mg/dl) with an age range of 45 - 60 were selected from mediciti Hospital of Ludhiana and were divided into two groups: Group A and Group b containing 30 subjects each. The subjects of Group b were given blended rice bran and olive oil for a time period of 45 days and were asked to continue with their routine eating and physical activity pattern. The subjects of Group A were kept on their regular cooking oil. The serum lipid values were assessed before and after the study. Additional parameters assessed included anthropometry, dietary fat intake and physical activity pattern. The results showed that there was an insignificant change in the average body mass index (bmI) of the subjects of Group b before (27.0 kg/m2) and after (26.9 kg/m2) the study respectively. Also, there was an insignificant change in the lipid levels of the subjects of Group b after the study. The levels of TC and LDL cholesterol decreased by 3.7 and 9.0 percent respectively. Whereas, the levels of TG and VLDL cholesterol increased by 9.5 percent in the subjects of Group b after the feeding trials. Further, systolic and diastolic blood pressure of the subjects of Group b reduced by 2.9 and 2.3 percent respectively. An insignificant change was observed in all the parameters of selected subjects. So, the present study recommends carrying out more long duration research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of this blended oil.

The title compound 2 crystallizes in monoclinic form, space group P 1 21/c 1, with a = 8.6248(4) ?, b = 18.9103(8) , c = 8.4204(4)?, β = 101.241(2)?, V = 1347.00(11) ?, D cal = 1.283 mg/cm3, Z = 4. The molecule is stabilized by intermolecular C-H … O bonds.

White organic light-emitting diodes were fabricated with two separated emissive layers using a blue fluorescent dopant and a red phosphorescent *** L-V characteristics of the device A and b showed maximum luminance of 26 100 and 21 100 cd/m at 14V and the maximum luminous efficiency of the devices showed 11.3 and 9.7 cd/A,respectively. The CIE coordinates of device A and b showed (x=0.27,y=0.35)and (x=0.33,y=0.33) at 10 *** device used bAlq as a host demonstrated proper white CIE coordinates and also showed white emission at operating voltages (4V-14V) without shifting of CIE coordinates.

Colonic metastasis of Klatskin tumor:Case report and discussion of the current literature

We report the case of a 65-year old male patient who initially presented with recurrent episodes of upper abdominal pain, lack of appetite and weight loss. Abdominal ultrasound indicated enlarged intrahepatic bile ducts, abdominal CT scan and ErC were performed and bile duct carcinoma （Klatskin Type Ⅲ b） was diagnosed. The tumor was located in the segments 2,3,4 and 1 with possible invasion of the left intrahepatic portal vein. both the segments 2 and 3 of the liver were atrophic and displayed a cholestatic bile duct system. Preoperatively an intraductal stent was placed in the left bile duct using ErC to drain the left hepatic lobe. A specimen of the ascites present preoperatively displayed no malignant cells. After evaluation of the preoperatively obtained data left hepatic resection was planned. Following laparotomy we found local peritoneal carcinosis in the ligamentum hepatoduodenale with lymphatic nodules that tested positive for cholangiocellular carcinoma in online pathological examination. In the course of further exploration of the abdomen a solid tumor was detected in the sigmoid colon. regarding the advanced stage of the neoplasm it was decided to cancel hemihepatectomy and perform sigmoid resection only in order to guarantee uncomplicated intestinal passage. The sigmoid colon was removed by a typical resection technique with end- to-end anastomosis. Histological examination of the resected sigmoid revealed transmural manifestation of a malignant neoplastic process with both a tubular and a solid growth pattern in conformity with metastasis of a Klatskin tumor. The mucosal layer showed no neoplastic alteration. Peritoneal carcinosis is a common phenomenon in the dissemination pattern of advancedstage Klatskin tumors, yet to our knowledge this is the first case of intramural colonic growth following peritoneal metastasis.
