backgrounds:Oxidative stress impairs the function of calcium-binding proteins and deregulates calcium signaling in living *** have previously explored the overexpression of calcium-binding protein genes in a reactive oxygen and nitrogen species-induced in vitro cell model of stress that leads to ***,in in vivo models,low levels of stress leads to depressive-like ***,we aimed to analyze gene expression of major calcium-binding proteins(calcineurin,calmodulin,calsyntenin,synaptotagmin,and calreticulin)and N-methyl-D-aspartic acid(NmDA)receptor subunits(glutamate receptor ionotropic[GluN]GluN1,GluN2A,and GluN2b)in the hippocampus of stress-induced ***:Six-week-old male Wistar rats were assigned to two stress induction groups and a control group without stress(n=6).Stress was induced by using H_(2)O_(2)(3%in water)or by immobilization(using a sticky mat)over a period of 30 *** of calcium-binding protein genes in the hippocampus,antioxidant assays,structural alterations in hippocampal neurons,and depressive-like behavior were ***:Expression of genes encoding calcium-binding proteins calcineurin,calsyntenin,synaptotagmin and NmDA receptor subunit GluN1 was enhanced in both chemical and physical stress-induced rats compared with control rats(4.25±0.05 vs.1.03±0.02,press-induced rats,neurons in the CA2 region of the hippocampus were fewer and appeared disorganized compared with control ***,stressinduced rats showed decreased mobility and lower sucrose preference in behavioral studies compared with control ***:Lower levels of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species(rONS)can also lead to stress in rats by affecting their calcium signaling,buffering capacity in the neurons leading to depressive symptoms.

This paper analyses the performance of a multiple gain boost converter(mGbC)connected to a solar photovoltaic(SPV)system with a grid-tied *** capacitor inductor capacitor(CLC)-based mGbC is integrated to lift the output voltage of the SPV to the required *** voltage lifts/levels in a boost converter(bC)are based on the number of CLC *** suggested mGbC is compared with various conventional bCs in terms of boost factor and component count.A hybrid fuzzy logic-perturb&observe maximum power point tracker(HFL-P&O mPPT)developed is used to monitor P_(max)(maximum power)generated by the ***,a comparative analysis of the suggested mPPT with a conventional P&O and fuzzy logic-based(FLb)mPPT for a CLC-based mGbC is *** comparison is made in terms of rise time,voltage ripples(%),steady-state time and boost *** output characteristics of the developed model for different irradiation conditions are analysed using the mATLAb/Simulink *** mPPT simulation result exhibits minimum oscillations at mPP and a significantly better rise time of 0.015 s when compared with a conventional mPPT and FLb *** proposed CLC-mGbC gives an appreciable boost factor of *** generated SPV power is supplied to the grid through a conventional inverter and synchronized using a phase-locked loop *** total harmonic distortion of 1.66%obtained in the output current of the inverter is within the permissible range of the IEEE standards.

cerebrovascular disease of genetic origin characterized by abnormally dilated capillaries and a wide spectrum of symptoms,including headaches,seizures,neurological deficits,and intracerebral *** unpredictable clinical course and the current lack of therapies make the identification of prognostic and predictive biomarkers an imperative research challenge.1 Herein,we provide evidence that galectin-3(Gal-3),a major tissue and circulating biomarker of oxidative stress and inflammation,is significantly up-regulated both in CCm patients and ***,wholetranscriptome sequencing,qrT-PCr,and Western blotting studies demonstrated a significant up-regulation of Gal-3 expression levels both in surgical CCm specimens and in blood samples of CCm patients.

This paper presents a solar-powered interleaved high-gain boost converter(IHGbC)that increases voltage gain with fewer ripples in the output voltage in comparison to existing DC-DC *** goal of this research is to develop a hybrid-based maximum power point tracking(mPPT)approach with the combination of a flower pollination(FP)algorithm assisted with a perturb&observe(P&O)mPPT approach for solar photovoltaic(SPV)systems integrated with *** ensure effective usage of both FP and P&O algorithms,this study incorporates and validates the hybrid-based mPPT *** proposed solar-powered IHGbC with a hybrid-based mPPT algorithm has been computationally modelled and simulated using mATLAb®and Simulink®for both uniform and non-uniform irradiation and analysed for voltage gain,ripples in the output waveforms and convergence *** proposed hybrid-based mPPT is based on a number of flowers that forecast the initial global peak,assisted by P&O in the last stage for faster convergence to attain the maximum power point(mPP).As a result,the hybrid-based mPPT approach alleviates the computational issues encountered in P&O and FP-based mPP *** proposed hybrid mPPT is compared with conventional mPPT for SPV and the results show that the solar-powered IHGbC using a hybrid-based mPPT technique has negligible oscillations of 0.14%with a high-voltage gain of 7.992 and a fast convergence rate of 0.05 seconds compared to individual P&O-based mPPT and FP-based mPPT *** simulation results of the proposed mPPT with IHGbC outperform the conventional mPPT with high-gain converters.

The incompressible flow of a non-Newtonian fluid with mixed convection along a stretching sheet is analyzed. The heat transfer phenomenon is discussed through thermal radiation. The effects of the melting heat transfer and heat generation/absorption are also taken. Suitable transformations are utilized to attain the nonlinear ordinary differential expressions. The convergent series solutions are presented. The fluid flow, temperature, and surface heat transfer rate are examined graphically. It is observed that the velocity decreases when the relaxation time increases while increases when the retardation time is constant. The results also reveal that the temperature distribution reduces when the radiation parameter increases.

Targeting protein kinases(PKs) has been a promising strategy in treating cancer, as PKs are key regulators of cell survival and proliferation. Here in this study, we studied the ability of pyrimido[4',5':4,5]thieno(2,3-b)quinolines(PTQ) to inhibit different PKs by performing computational docking and in vitro screening. Docking studies revealed that 4-butylaminopyrimido[4',5':4,5]thieno(2,3-b)quinoline(bPTQ) has a higher order of interaction with the kinase receptors than other PTQ *** vitro screening confirms that bPTQ inhibits VEGFr1 and CHK2, with the IC_(50) values of 0.54 and1.70 mmol/L, respectively. Further, cytotoxicity of bPTQ was measured by trypan blue assay. Treatment with bPTQ decreased the proliferation of HL-60 cells with an IC_(50) value of 12 mmol/L and induces apoptosis, as explicated by the fall in the mitochondrial membrane potential, annexin V labeling and increased expression of caspase-3. Taken together, these data suggest that bPTQ possess ability to inhibit PKs and to induce cell death in human promyelocytic leukemia cells.
