An approach of the internal friction-dependent temperature changes for conventional and pure biogenic lubricating greases

This work investigated the temperature changes inside the bulk of lubricating greases under controlled high-shear stress conditions(250-500 s-1).For this purpose,a newly developed temperature-measuring cell called Calidus was successfully *** temperature changes(ΔT)have been related to the greases'components(thickener,base oil-type,and composition)and the structural degradation of the lubricating ***,a theoretical approach was proposed for calculating the internal temperature change of lubricating greases during shear *** greases showed an internal temperature profile characterised by a sudden rise inΔT within the first 4 h from starting the test and subsequentΔT decay until it reaches the steady state ***,it was found that greases C1 and C5,formulated with lithium and calcium soap,respectively,with different soap content(16.1 wt%and 9.7 wt%,respectively),but the same base castor oil,showed the highest value of the maximumΔT,c.a.3.2 K,and the most drastic drop ofΔ*** greases showed both the highest specific densities and heat *** addition,they showed the lowest ratio of expended energies(Rtee),which means more structural degradation in the stressed *** the contrary,the grease C3,with 13 wt%of Li-soap but the lowest base oil's viscosity,showed the lowest maximumΔT and the temperature profile was characterised by a moderate variation ofΔT along the *** biogenic grease b3 developed a low-temperature change in the group of pure bio-genic greases close to grease C3.

目的钙摄入水平低以及体内维生素D不足是导致亚洲女性罹患骨质疏松的危险因素。此项研究的目的是评估高钙维生素D强化牛奶(HCM)对健康的中国绝经后妇女的体内维生素D状态和骨吸收标志物进行干预的影响。方法本试验对象为55岁以上,绝经至少5年的女性。共有124名女性进行了总体健康状况和骨密度检查筛选。63名女性被随机分为对照组和试验组,试验组在12w内每日饮用两次高钙/维生素D强化奶(含900 mg钙、96 mg镁、2.4 mg锌和6.4μg维生素D)。2组分别在试验开始、试验2 w、8 w和12 w时测量血矿物质、25(OH)维生素D3和Ⅰ型胶原C端肽(CTX)水平。结果对照组女性平均年龄为63±4.6岁,高钙强化奶(HCM)组女性平均年龄为62±3.8岁。所测得的每日钙摄入量的基线值为HCM组260～482 mg,对照组为252～692 mg。12 w后HCM组的平均身体质量指数(bMI)显著降低(P<0.05)。HCM组的血25(OH)维生素D3水平显著提高(33.13～39.49 nmol/L),而对照组则维持不变(29.27～28.21 nmol/L)。HCM组的血CTX水平在0 w和2 w之间下降了25%,并保持不变直至第12w。从第2w开始HCM组和对照组相比血CTX水平就出现了显著差异(P<0.001)。结论通过饮用含高钙和维生素D的强化奶(HCM),在2至4w内能显著提高中国绝经妇女体内维生素D水平,并减少骨吸收破坏。如果长期持续地饮用含高钙和维生素D的强化奶(HCM),能减少骨吸收和骨量丢失的风险,从而减少患骨质疏松和由此引起骨折的风险。

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever(CCHF),caused by Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV),is endemic in Africa,Asia,and Europe,but CCHF epidemiology and epizootiology is only rudimentarily defined for most *** we summarize what is known about CCHF in Central,Eastern,and South-eastern *** multiple international and country-specific databases using a One Health approach,we defined disease risk and burden through identification of CCHF cases,anti-CCHFV antibody prevalence,and CCHFV isolation from vector *** identified 2313 CCHF cases that occurred in 1944–2021 in the three examined *** Asian countries reported the majority of cases(2,026).In Eastern Asia,China was the only country that reported CCHF cases(287).In South-eastern Asia,no cases were ***,we leveraged our previously established classification scheme to assign countries to five CCHF evidence *** countries(China,Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan,Turkmenistan,and Uzbekistan)were assigned to level 1 or level 2 based on CCHF case reports and the maturity of the countries’surveillance *** countries(Mongolia and Myanmar)were assigned to level 3 due to evidence of CCHFV circulation in the absence of reported CCHF *** countries in Eastern and South-eastern Asia were categorized in levels 4 and 5 based on prevalence of CCHFV vector ***,this paper describes the past and present status of CCHF reporting to inform international and local public-health agencies to strengthen or establish CCHFV surveillance systems and address shortcomings.

Human biofield therapy does not affect tumor size but modulates immune responses in a mouse model for breast cancer

ObJECTIVE： To assess the effect of human biofield therapy, an integrative medicine modality, on the development of tumors and metastasis, and immune function in a mouse breast cancer model. METHODS： Mice were injected with 66cl4 mammary carcinoma cells. In study one, mice received biofield therapy after cell injection. In study two, mice were treated by the biofield practitioner only prior to cell injection. both studies had two control groups of mock biofield treatments and phosphate- buffered saline injection. Mice were weighed and tumor volume was determined. blood samples were collected and 32 serum cytokine/chemokine markers were measured. Spleens/popliteal lymph nodes were isolated and dissociated for fluorescent-activated cell sorting （FACS） analysis of immune cells or metastasis assays in cell culture. RESULTS： No signifcant differences were found in weight, tumor size or metastasis. Significant effects were found in the immune responses in study one but no additional effects were found in study two. In study one, human biofield treatment significantly reduced percentage of CD4~CD441oCD25~ and percentage of CD8~ cells, elevated by cancer in the lymph nodes, to control levels determined by FACS analysis. In the spleen, only CD11b~ macrophages were increased with cancer, and human biofield therapy significantly reduced them. Of 11 cytokines elevated by cancer, only interferon-y, interleukin-1, monokine induced by interferon-y, interleukin-2 and macrophage inflammatory protein-2 were significantly reduced to control levels with human biofield therapy. CONCLUSION： Human biofield therapy had no significant effect on tumor size or metastasis but produced significant effects on immune responses apparent in the down-regulation of specific lymphocytes and serum cytokines in a mouse breast cancer model.

Clinicopathologic features of surgically resected primary gastric lymphoma

AIM:To analyze the clinicopathologic characteristics of surgically resected gastric lymphoma patients. METHODS:We retrospectively analyzed 57 surgically resected gastric lymphoma patients,dividing them into 2 subgroups:Low grade MALToma (the LG group),High grade MALToma and Diffuse large b cell lymphoma (the HG group). RESULTS:The numbers of patients were:20 in the LG group, 37 in the HG *** diagnostic rate of gastroscopy was 34.8% at primary diagnosis and 50% including differential *** positive rates of Hpyloriwere similar between the 2 groups (68% vs77%).Multiple lesions were found in 19.3%.The proportion of mucosal and submucosal lesions was 80.0%(16/20) in the LG group,and 24.3%(9/37) in the HG group (Pbers of recurred patients were none in the LG group,and 8 in the HG *** univariant analysis,group (P=0.024) and TNM stage (stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ vs stages Ⅲ,Ⅳ,P=0.002) were found to be the significant risk *** was a tendency of higher recurrence rate in the subtotal gastrectomy group than in the total gastrectomy group (P=0.50). CONCLUSION:The HG groups had a more advanced stage and a higher recurrence rate than the LG *** there was no difference between subtotal and total gastrectomies,more careful assessments of multiplicities and radical resections with lymph node dissections seem to be needed because of multiplicity and LN invasion even in LG group.

目的　研究老年人各年龄段 T3～ L5椎体骨密度及椎体横断面面积。方法　用外周骨定量 CT(p QCT)仪测量 40具老年尸体中 60 0个椎体的总骨密度、松质骨密度、皮质下骨密度、皮质骨密度、椎体横断面总面积、松质骨面积、皮质下骨面积及皮质骨面积 ,分别统计 60～ 69岁 (A组 )、70～ 79岁 (b组 )、80～ 89岁 (C组 )、90～ 98岁 (D组 )椎体骨密度值。结果　 T3～ L5椎体总骨密度 (mg/ cm3)为 1 88.2 5～ 1 91 .60 ,松质骨密度为1 2 8.0 1～ 1 30 .66,皮质下骨密度为 454.90～ 461 .87,皮质骨密度为 764.1 3～ 769.55。结论　 60～ 79岁椎体总骨密度值保持在相对稳定水平 ,80岁以后该值下降较明显。

Establishment and characterization of four human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines containing hepatitis b virus DNA

AIM To investigate the characteristics of newly established four hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines (SNU 739, SNU 761, SNU 878 and SNU 886) from Korean hepatocellular cancer patients. METHODS Morphologic and genetic studies were done. RESULTS All four lines grew as a monolayer with an adherent pattern, and their doubling times ranged from 20 to 29 hours. The viability rate was relatively high (88%-94%). Neither mycoplasmal nor bacterial contamination was present. The lines showed different patterns in fingerprinting analysis. The hepatitis b virus (HbV) DNA was integrated in the genomes of all four lines, and in all of them Hbx, Hbc and Hbs transcripts were detected by reverse transcriptase PCR methods. Among the three cell lines used as control (Hep 3b, SK Hep1 and Hep G2), only Hep 3b showed Hbx expression, and this line was used as a HbV integrated control. The RNA of albumin was detected in three lines (SNU 761, SNU 878 and SNU 886), that of transferrin in two lines (SNU 878, SNU 886), and that of IGF Ⅱ was detected in none of the cell lines. CONCLUSION These well characterized cell lines may be very useful for studying the biology of hepatocellular carcinoma in association with the hepatitis b virus.
