Multi-objective method of selecting performance-based local climatic zones using binomial logistic regression in warm and humid climate

Urban agglomeration is a serious concern due to its high energy usage and impact on the local *** countries strive to determine the development path to optimize energy *** present study aims to examine the local climatic zones(LCZs)performance in warm and humid climate through a multi-objective approach for the residential *** performance is assessed by evaluating the urban microclimate and cooling load consumption for both summer and winter months using binomial logistic *** study concludes that LCZ 2_(3)(compact mid-rise with open low-rise)and LCZ 6_(b)(open low-rise with scattered trees)perform better for 80%and 50%of total hours in warm and humid *** also proves the presence of significant performance differences between mid-rise and low-rise *** intra-zonal differences between the climatic variables are higher than the inter-zonal differences due to the impact of land surface temperature(LST).The high aspect ratio and low sky view factor of LCZ 2_(3) help the residents in that morphology in enhancing better thermal comfort and reducing cooling load *** present study contributes to building regulation policymakers by providing information on the suitable morphology for warm and humid climate.

This article presents an innovative approach to automatic rule discovery for data transformation tasks leveraging Xgboost,a machine learning algorithm renowned for its efficiency and *** framework proposed herein utilizes the fusion of diversified feature formats,specifically,metadata,textual,and pattern *** goal is to enhance the system’s ability to discern and generalize transformation rules fromsource to destination formats in varied ***,the article delves into the methodology for extracting these distinct features from raw data and the pre-processing steps undertaken to prepare the data for the *** sections expound on the mechanism of feature optimization using Recursive Feature Elimination(RFE)with linear regression,aiming to retain the most contributive features and eliminate redundant or less significant *** core of the research revolves around the deployment of the Xgboostmodel for training,using the prepared and optimized feature *** article presents a detailed overview of the mathematical model and algorithmic steps behind this ***,the process of rule discovery(prediction phase)by the trained Xgboost model is explained,underscoring its role in real-time,automated data *** employingmachine learning and particularly,the Xgboost model in the context of business Rule Engine(bRE)data transformation,the article underscores a paradigm shift towardsmore scalable,efficient,and less human-dependent data transformation *** research opens doors for further exploration into automated rule discovery systems and their applications in various sectors.

Central venous catheterization(CVC) is an invasive procedure for administering fluids,nutrients,and drugs;monitoring central venous pressure;performing pulmonary artery catheterization;and placing transvenous pacemakers in intensive care units and all specialties,from anesthesia to emergency medicine,for the treatment of trauma and hemodynamically unstable pediatric and adult patients.[1,2]Complications have been observed in more than 15% of patients who underwent ***,infectious,and thrombotic complications have been reported in 5%–19%,5%–26%,and 2%–26% of patients,respectively.[3] Malposition,on the other hand,is common in subclavian catheter insertion and is usually associated with an initially misplaced guidewire.[4]

This paper presents a review of the position-sensitive detector(PSD) sensor, covering different types of PSD and recent works related to this field. Furthermore, it explains the theoretical concepts and provides information about its structure and principles of operation. Moreover, it includes the main information about the available commercial PSDs from different companies, along with a comparison between the common modules. The PSD features include high position resolution, fast response, and a wide dynamic range. These features make it suitable for various fields and applications, such as imaging, spectrometry, spectroscopy and others.

The use of three-dimensional(3D)printed concrete as formwork is becoming more widely applied within the ***,the technology is still not optimized and there are many reports of preliminary cracking during the curing of cast *** is believed to result from differential shrinkage between the printed and cast *** cracks(in the printed concrete or at the interface between the infill and printed concrete)form a preferential path for aggressive substances and can reduce the durability of the combined concrete *** ensure the desired service life of the structure,it is important that the differential shrinkage between cast and printed concrete is *** study investigated the effect of curing conditions on the differential shrinkage behavior of 3D and cast *** influence of prewetting of the dry-cured 3D printed formwork was also *** the experimental program,a vibrated and self-compacting concrete were used as cast *** 3D printed formwork was produced and combined with cast concrete to simulate a concrete *** formwork was cured for 1,7,or 28 d exposed to the air(relative humidity:60%or 95%)or submerged in *** length change of the combined elements was observed over 56 d after concrete casting and throughout the thickness of the *** show that increasing the curing period in dry conditions of the printed concrete leads to an expansion of the formwork on the first day after *** expansion leads to a non-uniform strain evolution throughout the curing period of the combined *** concrete formwork stored in wet conditions does not expand after the casting process but tends to show a decreasing linear deformation within the whole elements.

Improving structures involves comparing old and new designs on a key *** the percent change in performance is a method to *** paper proposes a cost-effective analogy by generating replicas of additive manufactured aluminum alloy(Al Si10Mg)body-centered cubic lattice(bCC)based turbine blade(T106C)with the same in poly-lactic acid(PLA)material and their comparison in the context of percent change for natural ***,a cavity is created inside the turbine blade(hollow blade).Natural frequencies are obtained experimentally and numerically by incorporating bCC at 50%and 80%of the cavity length into the hollow blade for both *** cost of manufacturing the metal blades is 90%more than that of the PLA *** two material blade designs show a similar percentage variation,as the first-order mode enhancs more than 5%and the second-order mode more than 4%.To observe the behavior in another material,both blades are analyzed numerically with a nickel-based U-500 material,and the same result is achieved,describing that percent change between designs can be verified using the PLA material.

To reduce the usage of classical lubricants in deep drawing,a new tribological system based on volatile lubricants was ***,a volatile medium is injected under high pressure into the interstice between drawing tool and sheet *** on temperature and pressure,the temporary lubricant may exist in its gaseous or liquid *** this study,a novel high fluid pressure tribometer was designed to investigate the friction and wear of dry steel contacts under comparable conditions like in dry deep ***,a new ball-on-disc tribometer was designed and integrated into a high-pressure *** specifically investigate the effects of different environments(technical air,liquid and gaseous carbon dioxide,nitrogen,argon)at atmospheric and high pressure(0.1 MPa,6 MPa)on tribology,the specimens and all components were operating *** the experiments,the friction was measured *** show that the highest friction occurs in air and the lowest in carbon dioxide *** to the experiments,the wear of the specimens was assessed along with changes in surface chemistry related to tribochemical ***,the tribology of the dry sliding contacts is correlated to changes of the surface *** differences as well as similarities regarding the different fluid environments are *** the results show,the differences between the media used are most pronounced at elevated ***,this work gives clear indications on the suitability of volatile lubricants in dry friction or rather gas lubrication,especially for dry deep drawing.
