The impact of a Distributed Denial of Service(DDoS)attack on Soft-ware Defined Networks(SDN)is briefly *** approaches to detecting DDoS attacks exist,varying on the feature being considered and the method ***,the methods have a deficiency in the performance of detecting DDoS attacks and mitigating *** improve the performance of SDN,an efficient Real-time Multi-Constrained Adaptive Replication and Traffic Approximation Model(RMCARTAM)is sketched in this *** RMCARTAM considers different parameters or constraints in running different controllers responsible for handling incoming *** model is designed with multiple controllers to handle net-work traffic but can turn the controllers according to *** multi-con-straint adaptive replication model monitors different features of network traffic like rate of packet reception,class-based packet reception and target-specific *** to these features,the method estimates the Replication Turn-ing Weight(RTW)based on which triggering controllers are ***,the method applies Traffic Approximation(TA)in the detection of DDoS *** detection of a DDoS attack is performed by approximating the incoming traf-fic to any service and using various features like hop count,payload,service fre-quency,and malformed frequency to compute various support measures on bandwidth access,data support,frequency support,malformed support,route sup-port,and so *** all these support measures,the method computes the value of legitimate weight to conclude the behavior of any source in identifying the mal-icious *** node details are used in the mitigation of DDoS *** method stimulates the network performance by reducing the power factor by switching the controller according to different factors,which also reduces the *** the same way,the proposed model improves the accuracy of detecting DDoS attacks by estimating the features of incoming traffic in

Deep Neural Network based Cardio Vascular Disease Prediction Using binarized butterfly Optimization

In this digital era,Cardio Vascular Disease(CVD)has become the lead-ing cause of death which has led to the mortality of 17.9 million lives each *** Diagnosis of the people who are at higher risk of CVDs helps them to receive proper treatment and helps prevent *** becomes inevitable to pro-pose a solution to predict the CVD with high accuracy.A system for predicting Cardio Vascular Disease using Deep Neural Network with binarized butterﬂy Optimization Algorithm(DNN–bboA)is *** bboA is incorporated to select the best *** optimal features are fed to the deep neural network classiﬁer and it improves prediction accuracy and reduces the time *** usage of a deep neural network further helps to improve the prediction accu-racy with minimal *** proposed system is tested with two datasets namely the Heart disease dataset from UCI repository and CVD dataset from Kag-gle *** proposed work is compared with different machine learning classiﬁers such as Support Vector Machine,Random Forest,and Decision Tree Classiﬁ*** accuracy of the proposed DNN–bboA is 99.35%for the heart dis-ease data set from UCI repository yielding an accuracy of 80.98%for Kaggle repository for cardiovascular disease dataset.

Neuroimmunology is emerging as a pivotal field,shedding light on the intricate dialogues between the central nervous system(CNS)and the immune *** exploration is particularly significant in understanding microglia,the CNS’s innate immune cells,beyond the conventional conflation of“neuroinflammation”and“microglial activation.”This conflation has clouded the true complexity of these processes,potentially stalling scientific progress and the development of new *** challenge the long-standing perspectives that have oversimplified these interactions,advocating for a deeper exploration of the dynamic relationship between neuroinflammation and microglial *** dissecting specific molecular pathways,we aim to illuminate their elaborate roles in neuroinflammatory responses,especially in the context of Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Here,neuroinflammation is not merely a passive observer or a direct antagonist but a complex agent in the disease’s *** article calls for a significant paradigm shift towards an integrative,multi-omics approach to *** such a comprehensive framework is crucial for advancing our understanding of neuroinflammatory conditions and paving the way for targeted therapeutic strategies for brain diseases.

A Self‑Powered Piezoelectric Nanofibrous Membrane as Wearable Tactile Sensor for Human body Motion Monitoring and Recognition

Wearable sensors have drawn vast interest for their convenience to be worn on body to monitor and track body movements or exercise activities in real ***,wearable electronics rely on powering systems to ***,a self-powered,porous,flexible,hydrophobic and breathable nanofibrous membrane based on electrospun polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)nanofiber has been developed as a tactile sensor with low-cost and simple fabrication for human body motion detection and ***,effects of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(CNT)and barium titanate(bTO)as additives to the fiber morphology as well as mechanical and dielectric properties of the piezoelectric nanofiber membrane were *** fabricated bTO@PVDF piezoelectric nanogenerator(PENG)exhibits the highβ-phase content and best overall electrical performances,thus selected for the flexible sensing device ***,the nanofibrous membrane demonstrated robust tactile sensing performance that the device exhibits durability over 12,000 loading test cycles,holds a fast response time of 82.7 ms,responds to a wide pressure range of 0-5 bar and shows a high relative sensitivity,especially in the small force range of 11.6 V/bar upon pressure applied perpendicular to the ***,when attached on human body,its unique fibrous and flexible structure offers the tactile sensor to present as a health care monitor in a self-powered manner by translating motions of different movements to electrical signals with various patterns or sequences.

In the present review, we have selected advances in electrospinning nanofibers that we envision to be embedded in textiles and wearables. These nanofibers have been proven to be excellent options for applications such as power generation, sensing, and communication. Their similitude with already known woven meshes makes these fibers perfect for electronically active *** fibers offer well known characteristics such as mechanical flexibility, high surface area-to-volume ratio, light weight and can be tuned by carefully selecting the active materials in the precursor solution. Here we will discuss polymers with electroactive, piezoelectric, triboelectric and their composites that have been used in fiber structures by using the electrospinning technique.

Penicillin was used to treat serious infections in the 1940s, but unfortunately, with the introduction of antibiotics came the emergence of antibiotic resistance [2,3]. Evolved and adapted methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains are presently impacting community and healthcare systems across the globe [4].

Anomaly Detection and Classification in Streaming PMU Data in Smart Grids

The invention of Phasor Measurement Units(PMUs)produce synchronized phasor measurements with high resolution real time monitoring and control of power system in smart grids that make *** are used in transmitting data to Phasor Data Concentrators(PDC)placed in control centers for monitoring purpose.A primary concern of system operators in control centers is maintaining safe and efficient operation of the power *** can be achieved by continuous monitoring of the PMU data that contains both normal and abnormal *** normal data indicates the normal behavior of the grid whereas the abnormal data indicates fault or abnormal conditions in power *** a result,detecting anomalies/abnormal conditions in the fast flowing PMU data that reflects the status of the power system is critical.A novel methodology for detecting and categorizing abnormalities in streaming PMU data is presented in this *** proposed method consists of three modules namely,offline Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM),online GMM for identifying anomalies and clustering ensemble model for classifying the *** significant features of the proposed method are detecting anomalies while taking into account of multivariate nature of the PMU dataset,adapting to concept drift in the flowing PMU data without retraining the existing model unnecessarily and classifying the *** proposed model is implemented in Python and the testing results prove that the proposed model is well suited for detection and classification of anomalies on the fly.

Strong, lightweight, and highly conductive CNT/Au/Cu wires from sputtering and electroplating methods

In this study, we present a 2-step deposition method via sputtering and electroplating that uses carbon nanotube(CNT) wires synthesized from a wet-spinning technique to produce high-performance CNT/Au/Cu composite wires. After the Au sputtering pre-treatment, the deposition of Cu on the CNT wires was found to be much more homogeneous due to improved wettability and reactivity of the wire surface. At different electrodeposition time, the mechanical strength of the CNT/Au/Cu composite wires could be as high as 0.74 GPa(~2 times stronger than metal wires) while their electrical conductivity could reach 4.65 × 10~5 S/cm(~80% of that for copper). More importantly, the CNT/Au/Cu composite wires with high CNT volume fraction are expected to be lightweight(up to 42% lower than Cu mass density), suggesting that our high-performance composite wires are a promising candidate to substitute conventional heavy metal wires in the future applications.

High-performance carbon fiber/gold/copper composite wires for lightweight electrical cables

In this study,we synthesized high-performance Carbon Fiber/Gold/Copper(CF/Au/Cu)composite wires by using a 2-step deposition method via sputtering and *** Au was sputtered on PANbased CFs as a pre-treatment,the wettability and surface reactivity of the CFs were improved,resulting in a homogeneous deposition of Cu on their *** different Cu electrodeposition time,the resulting CF/Au/Cu composite wires could possess a high strength of up to 3.27 GPa(~10 times stronger than copper wires)while their electrical conductivity could be as high as 4.4×10^5 S/cm(~75%of that for copper).More importantly,since the composite wires were lightweight(up to 70%lower than Cu mass density),they are a promising candidate to substitute conventional heavy metal wires in the future electrical applications.
