Effect of temperature and strain rate on compressive response of extruded magnesium nano-composite

The hot deformation behaviour of extruded magnesium-zinc oxide nano composite has been studied using hot compression *** test was conducted in the temperature range of 250-400℃ and in the strain rate range of 0.01 to 1.5 s^(−1).The processing map was obtained using the power dissipation efficiency with the functions of temperature and strain *** workability and instability domains were observed in the processing map for a nano *** optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)images were used to confirm the formation of dynamic recrystallization(DRX),dynamic recovery(DRY)and instability *** workability region of the composite was identified at a working temperature of 400℃ and the strain rate of 0.01 s^(−1) from the processing *** instability regions were observed at higher strain rates(>0.1 s^(−1))and temperatures(250-400℃).

5-Fluorouracil Loaded Chitosan–PVA/Na^+MMT Nanocomposite Films for Drug Release and Antimicrobial Activity

In the present study, chitosan and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) were blended with different concentrations of sodium montmorillonite(Na^+MMT) clay solution by a solvent casting method. X-ray diffraction and transition electron microscope results show that the film properties are related to the co-existence of Na^+MMT intercalation/exfoliation in the blend and the interaction between chitosan–PVA and Na^+MMT. 5-Fluorouracil(5-FU) was loaded with chitosan–PVA/Na^+MMT nanocomposite films for in vitro drug delivery study. The antimicrobial activity of the chitosan–PVA/Na^+MMT films showed significant effect against Salmonella(Gram-negative) and Staphylococcus aureus(Gram-positive), whereas5-FU encapsulated chitosan–PVA/Na^+MMT bio-nanocomposite films did not show any inhibition against bacteria. Our results indicate that combination of a flexible and soft polymeric material with high drug loading ability of a hard inorganic porous material can produce improved control over degradation and drug release. It will be an economically viable method for preparation of advanced drug delivery vehicles and biodegradable implants or scaffolds.

background:Hepatitis b virus(HbV)has affected over 300 million people worldwide which causes to induce mostly liver disease and liver *** is a member of the family Hepadnaviridae which is a small DNA virus with unusual characters like ***,hepatoprotective drugs provoke some side effects in human *** the reason,this study aims to identify alternative drug molecules from the natural source of medicinal plants with smaller quantity of side effects than those conventional drugs in treating ***:We developed computational methods for calculating drug and target binding resemblance using the Maestro v10.2 of Schrodinger *** target and ligand molecules were obtained from recognized *** molecules of 40 phytoconstituents were retrieved from variety of plants after we executed crucial analyses such as molecular docking and absorption,distribution,metabolism,and excretion(ADME)***:In the docking analysis,the natural analogues repandusinic acid showed better docking scores of-14.768 with good binding *** remaining bioactive molecules corilagin,furosin,nirurin,iso-quercetin and gallocatechin also showed better docking ***:This computational analysis reveals that repandusinic acid is a suitable drug candidate for ***,we recommend that this analogue is suitable in further exploration using in vitro studies.

TCRAIN–A DATAbASE OF TROPICAL CYCLONE RAINFALL PRODUCTS FOR NORTH INDIAN OCEAN

Analysis of tropical cyclone(TC) rainfall characteristics helps in understanding and improving quantitative precipitation forecasts of TCs. based on the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM) rainfall data for the period of 2000-2010, a TC rainfall database –Tropical Cyclone Rainfall Analysis for North Indian Ocean(TCRAIN) is developed to study the precipitation characteristics during various stages of life cycle of TCs of the North Indian Ocean(NIO). Three rainfall products, viz., frequency distribution of rain rate, azimuthally averaged radial profile of rain rate and quadrant mean rain rate with respect to the TC centre and the direction of motion of the TC are generated in a Lagrangian frame of coordinate system for 5 intensity stages of life cycle of each cyclone over NIO. Using this TCRAIN database, composites of frequency distribution of rain rates as well as quadrant mean rain rate for TCs of NIO are generated to bring out probable rain rates and asymmetric structure in rainfall distribution. Rainfall profiles for individual cases are likely to deviate from the climatological profiles under different environmental and oceanic conditions. TCRAIN database would serve as a useful tool for carrying out intensity based analytical studies on structure of rainfall associated with cyclones of NIO through ready depiction of TC rainfall profiles.
