Metabolic engineering offers an exquisite capacity to produce new molecules in a renewable ***,most industrial applications have focused on only a small subset of elements from the periodic table,centered around carbon *** review aims to illustrate the expanse of chemical elements that can currently(and potentially)be integrated into useful products using cellular ***,we describe recent advances in expanding the cellular scope to include the halogens,selenium and the metalloids,and a variety of metal *** examples range from small molecules,heteroatom-linked uncommon elements,and natural products to biomining and nanotechnology ***,this review covers the promise of an expanded range of elemental incorporations and the future impacts it may have on biotechnology.

Neuroimmunology is emerging as a pivotal field,shedding light on the intricate dialogues between the central nervous system(CNs)and the immune *** exploration is particularly significant in understanding microglia,the CNs’s innate immune cells,beyond the conventional conflation of“neuroinflammation”and“microglial activation.”This conflation has clouded the true complexity of these processes,potentially stalling scientific progress and the development of new *** challenge the long-standing perspectives that have oversimplified these interactions,advocating for a deeper exploration of the dynamic relationship between neuroinflammation and microglial *** dissecting specific molecular pathways,we aim to illuminate their elaborate roles in neuroinflammatory responses,especially in the context of Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Here,neuroinflammation is not merely a passive observer or a direct antagonist but a complex agent in the disease’s *** article calls for a significant paradigm shift towards an integrative,multi-omics approach to *** such a comprehensive framework is crucial for advancing our understanding of neuroinflammatory conditions and paving the way for targeted therapeutic strategies for brain diseases.

The three-dimensional(3D) nano?uid ?ow among the rotating circular plates ?lled with nanoparticles and gyrotactic microorganisms is studied. A generalized form of the magnetic Reynolds number is used for the mathematical modeling of the ferro-nano?uid ?ow. The torque e?ects on the lower and upper plates are calculated.A di?erential transform scheme with the Pad′e approximation is used to solve the coupled highly nonlinear ordinary di?erential equations. The results show that the squeeze Reynolds number signi?cantly suppresses the temperature, microorganism, and nanoparticle concentration distribution, and agree well with those obtained by the numerical method.

Highly textured dense Ca3-xYxCo4 O9+δ(0≤x≤0.3)samples were fabricated by combining sol-gel process with spark plasma sintering(sPs).Y^3+substitution for Ca^2+simultaneously increased the seebeck coefficient and reduced the thermal *** latter was attributed to the increase in lattice anharmonicity,structural distortion,and grain boundary area,which enhanced the phonon ***2.7Y0.3Co4 O9+δshowed the largest dimensionless figure-of-merit(ZT=0.194)at 1073 K because it had the largest seebeck coefficient and the lowest thermal *** ZT value was 55%larger than that of undoped Ca3 Co4 O9(0.125 at 1073 K).Therefore,Y^3+substitution,sol-gel powder synthesis,and sPs are highly effective for enhancing the thermoelectric prope rties of Ca_(3)Co_(4)O_(9).

It is well known that spline smoothing estimator relates to the bayesian estimate under partially informative normal prior. In this paper, we derive the conditions for the pro- priety of the posterior in the nonparametric mixed effects model under this class of partially informative normal prior for fixed effect with inverse gamma priors on the variance compo- nents and hierarchical priors for covariance matrix of random effect, then we explore the Gibbs sampling procedure.

The aim of this study was to investigate the biochemical, physiological and morphological responses of sugarcane to iso- osmotic salt and water-deficit stress. Disease-free sugarcane plantlets derived from meristem cuttings were photo- autotrophically grown in Ms media and subsequently exposed to -0.23 （control）, -0.67 or -1.20 MPa iso-osmotic NaCl （salt stress） or mannitol （water-deficit stress）. Chlorophyll a （Chl a）, chlorophyll b （Chl b）, total carotenoids （Cx＋c）, maximum quantum yield of PsII （Fv/Fm）, photon yield of PsII （ΦPsII）, stomatal conductance （Gs） and transpiration rate （E） in the stressed plantlets were significantly reduced when compared to those of plantlets of the control group （without mannitol or NaCl）, leading to net-photosynthetic rate （Pn） and growth reduction with positive correlation. In addition, physiological changes and growth parameters of plantlets in the salt stress conditions were more sharply reduced than those in waterdeficit stress conditions. On the other hand, the proline content and non-photochemical quenching （NPQ） in the leaves of stressed plantlets increased significantly, especially in response to iso-osmotic salt stress. The chlorophyll pigments in iso-osmotic stressed leaves were significantly degraded （r^2 = 0.93）, related to low water oxidation （r^2 = 0.87）, low net- photosynthetic rate （r^2 = 0.81）, and growth reduction （r^2 = 0.97）. The multivariate biochemical, physiological and growth parameters in the present study should be further used to develop salt, or drought, tolerance indices in sugarcane breeding programs.

surface functionalization of blast furnace slag with sulfamic acid(a zwitterion)was performed for the removal of Cr^(3+)and methylene blue dye(Mb)from water *** slag functionalization process was optimized using Response surface Methodology *** analysis of the parameters that include the sulfamic acid amount(A),reaction time(b),and temperature(C)revealed that(A)increase had a negative effect on the adsorption of both pollutants by the zwitterion slag,whereas(b)and(C)increase presented a positive *** the optimum condition of 2 g sulfamic acid amount,50 min reaction time and 37℃ temperature,the prepared slag showed a removal efficiency of more than 90% for both Cr^(3+)and *** characterization by sEM/EDs,FTIR,XPs and surface area analyser,showed an improvement in surface properties and the incorporation of zwitterionic NH^(2+)and s=O groups of sulfamic *** isotherm and kinetic studies conducted with the zwitterion slag showed the adsorption process was suited to Freundlich isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic *** thermodynamic study conducted revealed the spontaneity of the process based on the calculated negativeΔG(Gibb’s free energy)*** prepared zwitterion slag offered easy regeneration with dilute HCl solution and showed a considerable removal(Cr^(3+):65% and Mb:80%)for both pollutants even after 3 cycles of usage.

This paper introduces some new generalizations of the concept of （~, p）-invexity for non- differentiable locally Lipschitz functions using the tools of Clarke subdifferential. These functions are used to derive the necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a class of nonsmooth semi-infinite minmax programming problems, where set of restrictions are indexed in a compact set. Utilizing the sufficient optimality conditions, the authors formulate three types of dual models and establish weak and strong duality results. The results of the paper extend and unify naturally some earlier results from the literature.
